hey im still using a regular xbox controller but im seeing on utube everybody has an arcade stick. I notice i get stuck at a lack of speed to perform on a decent level. There are some arcade sticks available in my neighbourhood but they are from the game Tekken 6 or other games (lot cheaper than the ones on e-bay!). @rstjona well id go with the madcatz tournament addition fight stick because it has the best and most reactive parts and is head over heals over almost every othe competitor, plus it's easy to customize, the tekken hori fight stick is "meh" in my oppinion because youle notice a little delay between each tap and it's hard to keep on ones lap, but if youre strapped for cash id say just by a streetfighter 4 special addition fight stick and py 8 sanwa buttons and a sanwa stick to switch

Pointless.

A Te Fight stick single button is the size of the whole A X Y B area button in one.

So considering there is 6 or 8 depending on the stick.

It'd be much easier doing trials considering the input an if you have a big thumb or find the analog uncomftable.

Accidently pushing buttons by mistake.

its a very good training to do all combo trials (normal and hard) they give a good introducion to the characters and their possibilities, because all the combos can be done in a normal match..

I hate the control scheme in this game with my Xbox 360 controller! Its TOO hard! I swear some combinations and special moves are almost IMPOSSIBLE to complete. yea u have to press the buttons faster, but what i usually do is just press tap certain buttons more than once then wiggle the analog for certain moves it works for me. u just gotta move ur fingers for those long combos expecially for sakura air combo out of the ex shrugen kick thang

I was just talking about my experiences of what I found to be useful as I was learning, since the probability of new players experiencing the same thing was common from what I've seen across forums. The PS3 controller is better period. But since most of the people I play online with have a 360 I bought it for that. Plus I ordered an arcade stick that hasn't arrived yet, which is better than a PS3 controller for fighting games.

ya. if u bought a stick, then let me give u some words of advice. at first i was good with the stick when i played it at the arcade, then i bought it on 360 and my stick hadnt arrived yet, so i got good with the controller while i was waiting for my stick, and then when my stick arrived i was better with the controller than with the stick, and i was really demotivated to learn the stick again, but now that i did i cant imagine playing with the controller. its much better with the stick, trust me

Well I use the analog on the 360 because I can actually feel the direction input better than the d-pad. Doing a hadouken for example on the d-pad, it feels like the qcf movement is 1 button input rather than 3. I can't speak for the PS3 though.

actuallly i can perform it untill the juggle shoryken, i just don't get it...

It works the same way as Sakura's Hadoken. You need to buffer the qcf as the heavy punch is being animated then press any punch right after. Try using medium punch if you aren't already. If you are still having problems I'll try and make a video for that as well - I'm kinda pressed on time at the moment.

Yea, I hope this closes any further questions on this level. I actually just got through Sakura's 4th and 5th levels, Ryu's 1 - 5 and Rose's 3-5 I had left over. I've pretty much got that canceling down now, expect a new video for level 4 of Sakura soon.

Well I've been doing a lot of it with Ken accidentally when the game came out, didn't really know the term too well. But last saturday I pretty much started practicing it and just today I think I've mastered it, so about 3 days maybe. I know exactly when to do it - it's just the slight limitations of the controller that are holding me back now. Getting my arcade stick in march - it's on pre-order.
