Becoming very good in the engineering of such aircraft though trail and error. While US development has produced only about 5 operation aircraft in the past 50 year that i know of. US forces are trained to fight assymetrical wars against conventional armies, not trained to police cities so that statement is irrelevant. No im not kidding about fielding equipment. It doesnt matter how good you design equipment if you cant deploy it on a battlefield in large numbers. Look at the tanks the germans used late in WW2 King tiger was vastly superior to anything the allies were using but werent made in large enough numbers. semper762, go do some research. Russian military industries are gearing up for mass production of many existing and new weapon systems this year and next. Both for record export deals but also for domestic market.
In case you have no noticed, the bulk of Russian weapons are not over complicated and are easy to produce. If Russia wanted to , it could build many new tanks and wepons in just 6- 8 months and be ready for a major conflict. Have you not noticed that there are war games by Georgia?

@TheSeaSergeant its not American built helo and I'm American... the Russian coaxial rotors program is over 65 years old building hundreds of operational aircraft. Becoming very good in the engineering of such aircraft though trail and error. While US development has produced only about 5 operation aircraft in the past 50 year that i know of. Russia is currently building several Squadrons for the Mistral-class helicopter carriers under construction.

Try using your head once in a while. Russia is the worlds largest country, has vast resources and natural wealth. Why would they even need to annex Georgia? It gives Russia no benefit at all to take that land, hence the reason they did not.
Russia should take pride in the fact that when its peackeepers were surrounded in Georgia and were being killed, that it sent in the 58th army to save those boys and teach Georgia a lesson. Though outnumbered, the Russians still won!

I clearly pointed out that the EU commission Report stated that Russia was not attacked at Abkhazia yet invaded that part of Georgia too. I'm going to have disagree with tanker on this one. You say american forces are weak because of the trouble in Iraq and Afghanistan? US forces are trained to fight assymetrical wars against conventional armies, not trained to police cities so that statement is irrelevant. Also Russia has made great equipment as of late, but they cant field it so its useless.

semper762, im not sure what you are disagreeing with. I never said America was weak. US army is very poweful and well organised, no doubt. However, you have not faced an equal or an even close to equal adversary since you fought the Nazis.
Smashing 3rd world countries and boasting about it is hardly a fair thing is it?
One thing I know for certain, the US cannot invaded and defeat Russia. This is impossible. Maybe only China can do this but even then I very much doubt it.

No im not kidding about fielding equipment. It doesnt matter how good you design equipment if you cant deploy it on a battlefield in large numbers. Look at the tanks the germans used late in WW2 King tiger was vastly superior to anything the allies were using but werent made in large enough numbers. Same with the ME-262 great machinery ahead of their time but not fielded in large numbers so it didnt make a differance

semper762, go do some research. Russian military industries are gearing up for mass production of many existing and new weapon systems this year and next. Both for record export deals but also for domestic market.
In case you have no noticed, the bulk of Russian weapons are not over complicated and are easy to produce. If Russia wanted to , it could build many new tanks and wepons in just 6- 8 months and be ready for a major conflict. Have you not noticed that there are war games by Georgia?

Yes i know there gearing up to create more military hardware. Unfortunatly Russia will be selling most of what they create because they lack a strong economy and selling weapons has and will be for the forseeable future, their main source of income. And yes they do wargames, but so the US. Do some research on Operation Seabreeze and see what country that multinational exercise takes place in and its proximity to Russia
