  • You need to do the Superhero Origins of Sylar and Peter Petrelli from Heroes

  • What is the move or TV series at 1:40? Anybody know? I really want to see it. . .whatever it is

  • @LegoBoy752000

That's a movie called 'Batman: Under The Red Hood'.

  • Make one the Flash Wally West

  • i know the origin.. when the joker was little his father was mad man one night his dad went crazy he got out a pocket and knife and killed her wife in front of joker when he was small.. then he notices that he saw and he goes up to him put the knife in this mouth and cuts him thats why he has his scars. when he cut him he said why so serious. and thats where he got his saying

  • @beastyboyowned Oh shut up Nolanite

  • @beastyboyowned Silly Nolanite.

  • @beastyboyowned Gee I thought he didnt to himself to in order to make his wife happy when she went through surgery and couldn't smile.

  • A man who lost it all, changed the game to win it all

  • As the joker would say, "Sometimes I remember it one way, sometimes I remember it the other."

  • In fact I think also that why he can't exactly rember it was because of falling into chemical tank, like the chemicals messed up his brain, like partial amnesia

  • WOW....

    Outstanding....

  • Batman is the worlds greatest detective and he has friends that are gods, time travelers, psychics, mind readers, sorcerers/ witches and he still can't figure out who the joker really is. That is fucking retarded.

  • Hey that joker was Bender's voice!

  • "If I am to have a past-I'd prefer it'd be multiple choice! HAHAHA!" XD

  • The Joker, truly he is the most remembered super villain of all time, and possibly he is the most feared. Just for the simple fact that you can beat him an inch to his life, pain and excruciating agony. He opens his eyes to face the terror of death and Hell, and all he does is smile, a grin from ear to ear. And laughs, he laughs and laughs and laughs. Unable to breath he laughs harder as he falls into the pit of Hell.

    Man i love The Joker.

  • Batman: Under the Read Hood was an AMAZING MOVIE.

  • Ladies and gentle, boys and girls of all ages! Allow me to open the gate to this dark carnival and introduce to you the greatest villian ever, the one and only clowned prince of crime, murderer of many and entertainer to all, he is a man who has come to be known as The Joker!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

  • @PrinceOfNsanity My favorite Villian of all time :) He's just BADASS in a AWESOME WAY !!!

  • In the Dark Knight, the Joker doesn't have bleached skin, it's makeup. This is true because his skin has a normal tone when he was assassinating the mayor.

  • @GenesisV3 simply put thats basically because nolans batman movies are more realistic than comic book

  • @GenesisV3 yeah but the hair was toxic then the rest insanity and makeup

  • @Kazoo4U That was the movie Joker i dont think Joker ever said that in the comics but DID say his father beat him for no reason in the animated series in the episode when he met Harley Quinn

  • HELLO BILLY MAYS HERE!!

  • joker: i use to wear a red suit like that...

me: till you took an arrow to the knee

  • TYLER DURTON, FIGHT CLUB, Joker? hmmmmm

  • Can't his name be confirmed as Jack Naiper?

  • @rockinjoker07 No, he doesn't officially have a real name. That's what I love about the character, we know NOTHING about him.

  • I feel like I'm watching CSI or a soap opera

  • What about the smiling scars his supposed father left him with?

  • @Kazoo4U the origional joker didnt really have any scares. that was only made in the nolan movies

  • There's only one guy on this earth that can kill and have no regard for human life but still make it cool and that's the joker

  • you sound like your reading from a script

  • I remember reading in Batman RIP.

Joker: INSTEAD OF DONATING TO A CHARITY I BLEW 5 MILLION DOLLARS ON A HELICOPTER THAT LOOKS JUST LIKE ME! SOMEONE AROUND HERE MUST BE CRAZY!

  • The joker's real name? KYLE LAND!

  • This story is confirmed in arkham city!

  • HARLEY QUINN! HARLEY QUINN!

  • I JUST read Killing Joke. Awesome backstory that almost had me feeling sorry for the Joker for once. but then I remember even before the dialog revealing it, I realized that even this backstory may not be the real one. WHAT A PSYCHO

  • yup. still the best villain and a legend.

  • @stagneso At first I though he was way too popular to be good... Then I read his story and whatever it said on Wikipedia (seriously good source actually search it) and now he is my favorite

  • I remember this being mentioned in Arkham City during the interview with Hugo Strange. Hugo said that since Joker had 12 other back stories, all completely different except that Batman is somehow in each one, he dismissed it as a lie. I guess we may never truly know what happened to the Joker.

  • i also forget to say from a life from growing he has a abuive father who was a drunk and one day jack killed him to stop him

  • here what i know knowed as a stand up comdiane named jack napire whic was married with his pregent wife who was shot due to the fact that he was a part of gang who wanted to steal chemical form a planet and to do one last job and as the red hood batman stop him cuseing him to fall into the acid that turn him into the white and green joker we know today

  • @theplant10 That is one of the many origin stories of the joker.

  • The Joker's real name.......... JERRY SEINFELD!!! dun dun DUN

  • Well.. i would say that this would be a rater lame background...

  • @Mustrad That's the point, really. He came from ordinary circumstances..lost his job, failed to be a provider, his wife and unborn child were murdered, he was strong-armed by the criminals to continue on with the task, Batman mistakes him for the Red Hood. He's so insanely frightened by Batman's appearance that he takes a misstep and falls into the chemical vats. Batman, and one bad day, ruined his life and the Joker was Born out of the resulting insanity.

  • Revealing his past in actuality would ruin the mystique which in turn ruins his character.......the fact that his past is such an enigma intrigues people....take that away and you've just got another phsychotic killer that has some random gimmick to go by

  • @MrKenpachi100 So that's why Bill Finger and Bob Kane never gave the Joker a real name or back story.

  • JOKERS MY FAVORITE

  • Thank you for the videos WatchMojo ! i wanted to make a suggestion about Deathstroke the Terminator :)

  • I think one scene really speaks a lot about the Joker; in The Dark Knight when he lights his half of the money on fire. And of course the great Alfred quote about how some men just want to watch the world burn.

  • 0:34 is that M.J

  • Great video! Speaking of Red Hood, please do a bio on Jason Todd!

  • I like to think that The Joker was a former mob associate who got caught stealing from a mob boss and was cut up to look like he's always smiling, due to the fact that he was known for carrying around a joker card everywhere he went.

  • you forgot to mention his wife died

  • I know you all going to think that I am an idiot right now, but. In my opinion it would be awesome Spider-Man vs Joker?

  • That is why in The Dark Knight. Joker told too different stories about his scar, making him unknown..Nolan is smart

  • Isnt Jokers real name Jack Napier? Im sure they would of or are going to put that in future comics alongside the Killing Joke Back story.

  • Batman had superhero friends that are time travelers, sorcerers, gods, mind readers, psychics, e.t.c and he still can't figure out the jokers origin that's fucking retarded. I think the best origin story is lovers and mandmen (from batman confidential) in that he was evil and very smart but not crazy before he became the joker

  • They did also "reveal" some info in Batman animated move Mask of the phantasm

  • Do the riddler please

  • i meant to put see after lets

  • lets not one person knows jokers real name only that he was some guy then the redhood then the joker

  • super hero origins: red hood

  • i think they should leave the story where he used to be a mobster to falling in the chemicals an turning into the joker i mean its a bad ass story line

  • According to the comic The killing Joke The joker doesn´t jump in the pool of acid but fall in it when he tries to take the hood of

  • There is a mistake here. In "The Dark Knight" there is a scene with the Joker without makeup. If his skin was bleached, how did he get his color back?

  • @Andy97009814 Perhaps because "The Dark Knight" is not the comic books?

  • @Andy97009814 no he wasn't without the white makeup.. but instead he had makeup on to give the appearance of skin colour. Wearing things such as womens foundation and such. In that scene you see him wiping off the skin coloured makeup, not putting on white makeup.

  • @schlebb1 Sorry, my bad. But in Tim Burton's Batman from 1989, Joker himself says "Ive taken off my makeup".

  • @Andy97009814 Lol the dark knight has nothing to do w/ the comics, dude.

  • he does it for the lulz

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA- AAH!

  • Thats explains alot acually. I think I need to check out this "Killing Joke."

  • I think all the origins meet somewhere with the Red Hood and falling into the Chemical Tank

  • @MrCrossoverer That was the movie

  • @kylekadduide yeah but the red hood met the similar fate

  • I think Heath Ledger was the ultimate version of the Joker... Clever and sadistic... A little hint of tragedy would have been nice but Heath reigns supreme...

  • @Pete2daNate Mark Hamill IS Joker! He makes that character come to life.No one can touch him. Heath was just some crazy guy in makeup. He would have done a better job as the Mad Hatter

  • Wow, i never could figure out the whole Red Hood thing, thanks for making this. it all fits together now. :D

  • I would like to make a request, but I'm afraid it's not going to be considered. Donna Troy, Wonder Woman's sister, the first Wonder Girl, now Troia.

Thanks and continue the good work.

  • The Joker did not jump in to the Vat, he fell in as he was fleeing.

  • Why so serious?

  • I wonder why the geek dating site ad is all over these videos

  • This is an awesome video

I think it sucks that D.C. doesn't create more origins for the Joker. I mean his past is never really the truth so it gives them a lot of flexibility to be creative. They should take advantage of this.

  • can you guys do Robin Origins .. all of the robins cause tbh im a bit lost with them xD

  • @VermilionOfficial there's a drunk history of robin

  • @MarsRevival my sister is 2face in that video lol

  • @VermilionOfficial then your not a real batman fan now are you

  • There is one thing that is used more than others when it comes to why he looks like a clown: Acid/chemical bath.

  • The joker is and always will be a mystery there are many different origins for the modern day joker character

    The jack nickolson story

    The engineer/red hood story

    The Heath ledger storys

Some with make up some without some with scars some without no one will ever know

But we can count on a hell of a ride when we see him

  • how about clayface and the red hood aka jason todd and the Mad hatter

    man bat Killer Croc

  • Hey ppl I'm doing Joker voice overs and Batman ( fan) comics so here is my origin story of the Joker ( Its not proven- its probably a lie joker told his doctor but anyway- in my batman Universe)

Joker ( his parents call him JJ) When he was 4 he was dressed as a clown for halloween and killed a cat and a bully who stole his candy

When his mother died ( she was a stripper) his dad remarrid and the stephmother was mean to the JJ. HE killed her and his dad whit a hammer.

Do you like it? Pls tell me

  • oh yea I forgot. Before he told that lie/ origin story to his doc ( number 5 of my comic book) in number 3 he told Riddler that ones his dad came in his room and told him ( his dad was a clown in the circus) that they need to find his playing card. He throwed the cards on the floor. JJ had to pick one up. It was the Joker card and that was his lucky card.

I cant put the comics online but I'm going to make a batman cartoon (+15 years) all the storys are going to be in that cartoon.

  • @nathan9384 I think their problem is that no one can aggree, and they want to please everybody. As far as Catwoman goes, she's was, according to wiki, either a flight attendant with an abusive boss, a socialite with an abusive husband, or a prostitute with an abusive pimp. That last one was going to be the official one, but then someone said "no I can't let her have been a hooker!" So, now there's no background story.

  • @anon7096 By "this," in my last comment I mean chemically altered. Sorry about the gramatical ambiguity.

  • You say that his face was turned permanently white. Yet I distinctly remember an episode of The Batman in which a small tin of "Clown Face Paint" was seen in his cell in Arkham Asylum. Why would he have any use for face paint if his face is permanently white? Good video by the way.

  • @anon7096 Because hes insane. He takes a gob of makeup and looks in the mirror, and then goes "MAKEUP! Joker dont need no stinkin' Makeup!"

  • @anon7096 In "the Killing Joke" he gets one of his minions to impersonate him to confuse Batman. He might be planning to use it for that purpose, or as a gift to Harley, (she's not chemically altered, just crazy). Also, some adaptations ("The Dark Knight" movie and the 1960s TV show) mention him wearing makeup and not being permanently white (even though he never takes his makeup off). I'm not sure how he is in "The Batman," but this is how he is in the comics.

  • have u guys thought of doing goblin?

  • Comment removed

  • do batman!

  • i like the killing joke. the origin story was believable, realistic and satisfying for the character and it really sums up the jokers code "it takes one bad day to turn a man insane". he does tht to harvey in TDK and other mad codes he lives by like causin chaos and obssessed with killin batman thro a comedic trick etc.

  • Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • THE BEST! I SUBSCRIBED!

  • can anyone explain to me how the joker in thegame batman arkam asylum came to be,what is is background story

  • @mariosmashfann i think its the same back ground version

  • @mariosmashfann ther gonna reveal it in arkham city in the trailer the same neucular wast compny is a building sooo im just assuming

  • but that past doesnt explain why his lips are cut so he smiles forever...

i dont believe it, good vid though.

  • @shadowkid1993 Yeah, the Heath Ledger Joker is more of a regular guy with facepaint, tho no less sociopathic lol

  • @AliceNchainz011 And no less sure about his own past. The Heath Ledger version has different stories about the day before his mouth was cut, similar to how the one in the comics has different stories about the day before he fell into the chemicals and got his face dyed. The 1989 movie with Jack Nicholson has the chemicals damaging his mouth muscles so that he smiles forever.

  • @shadowkid1993 Well when Bill Finger & Jerry Robinson created The Joker back in 1940 he was taken from a silent movie (The Man Who Laughs) about a man who when he was a child had his facial rictus nerves sliced by a gypsy surgeon leaving a permanant grin on his face. The Joker wasn't given a origin until the late 1940s (the red hood one) IMHO having his origin as a mystery works better. Interesting thing is the character in that film is sympathetic and noble, while The Joker is a murderous clown

  • I don't beleive any of the Joker's origins since they haven't been proven. I've always preferred it as a mystery anyway.

  • @ZADER4427 I love the mystery too but I like the Killing Joke's version the best became it humanizes the joker

  • @ZADER4427 Actually they did prove Jeannie (his supposed wife) existed seeing as Edward Nigma was a witness to her murder. Whether or not she was truly Joker's wife or not can't yet be proven, but we do know he at least knew her name and face.

  • @TenmaxHarima I didn't know that. Thanks ;)

  • @TenmaxHarima what comic was that? i dont have a comic store where i live.

  • @xwolfjbx Batman: Gotham knights the issue is somewhere in the 50s I think

  • @ZADER4427 Same here. A part of Joker's appeal as a truly great villain is his sense of mystery, lack of origin ect. Remove that, and you diminish the threat.

  • @ZADER4427 I ws gonna say that...

  • @ZADER4427 I ave on question have you ever read the killing joke because after reading that graphic novel you recieve a hole different outcome of the jokers personality

  • @ZADER4427 Yeah, it makes him far less sympathetic, a true force of evil which is what he is.

  • @ZADER4427 Why is it that Joker's past is unknown & no one cares about what it truely was? That is how awesome it is.

  • Basically the only thing that anyone can say about the Joker's origin and be correct on is that one bad day caused him to lose his mind.

  • Soooo you know where I got these scars?

  • Just noticed, at 0:24, in the panel where Joker has a camera, the name of the camera company is "Witz", which is german for "joke"...interesting....

  • Just noticed, at 0:24, in the panel where Joker has a camera, the name of the camera company is "Witz", which is german for "joke"...interesting....

  • I like Jerry Robinson, Bill Finger and Bob Kane's interpretation which was in the Dark Knight; this guy comes out of no where and causes problems for the mob and worse for the Batman.

  • anyone else here already know this??

  • how about a magic trick ???????????????????

  • You forgot the engineer's name, Jack Napier. Batman, 1989.

  • @FanOfAwesome1 he doesn't have a name in the version he's reviewing. I have the same copy and he's not given a name

  • Can you do Bullseye's origin?

  • have u done killer croc

  • i have a question if te joker died would he go to hell. i mean yes hes killed people but hes crazy and techniqly cant help it. he used to just be a person trying to start a family

  • @wolfmanfilms101 Trying to start a family doesn't excuse murder. My dad and mom started a family, for instance.

Face it; Joker's not like Mr. Freeze, Harley Quinn, or Killer Croc. He isn't tragic. He's just chaotic evil. Which makes him a great villain.

  • @MrThePandaman i guess your right

  • Can you do one on Michael Peasley...that's me. I so wanna know who my father is. =-(

  • What about Dead pool?

  • @ConorC96 check for the video its been made

  • @zachstudio99 That is what Dark Knight (movie) wanted to do. This is the real story.

  • :P what learn from marvel is that everybody has a really bad past...and brother end up trying to kill each

  • The Best Villain of all-time

  • In my opinion the most famous, darkest supervillain in comics period...

  • I had that famous book back in 88 when I was still collecting comic books. I left my collection at my mom's when I moved out 2 years later to be sure they would remain in good conditions. I was 20 then but, when I turned 30 I found out that my young brother who I left behind sold my whole collection, about 1200 comic books total. You never came back for them, he said.... I'm just waiting for him to get married and I swear I will slip a pill to his wife and do her for hours.

  • @frenchment That's messed up.. That would be like your sister in law.. Gross!

  • @Worraps1989 Obviously I was kidding but is the mother of my sister in law ok or am I just sick ?

  • @frenchment Hmmm.. I think that is ok. Depends on how old she is though..

  • The Joker's my idol

  • @eazybe1

    He's mine too! :D

  • @zachstudio99 No, that's only in the movie, And that doesn't explain such things as his bleached alabaster white skin and green hair which has been a staple in the comics for decades. I always think that whatever created The Joker and destroyed his mind went way beyond a simple facial scaring.

  • The Dark Knight really did justice to the Joker.

  • Comment removed

  • so thats why he changes his stories about his scars, because he dosent remember correctly, nice :)

  • I personally think it's better that he doesn't have an origin. This way it allows him to have a more foreboding presence in any aspect. Many people fear what they do not know which is one reason (I think) The Joker is the most notorious villians.

On the other hand, I can respect what the authors of this origin were probably trying to do, which was to create an opposite version of batman in a way so that Joker would always be a reminder as to who Batman can be. But that's just me.

  • @kmtut Interestingly one of Brian Bolland's biggest regrets about his and Alan Moore's The Killing Joke is The Joker being given an origin in his afterword of The Killing Joke.

"The script for The Killing Joke was very good, but I must admit I had to grit my teeth a couple of times during the drawing of it. I, for instance would never have chosen to reveal a Joker origin. I think of this as just one of a number of possible origin stories manifesting itself in The Joker's fevered brain"

  • I never knew Marcus Fenix played the Joker at one point!

  • at first i thought the red hood was deadpool lol

  • can you do Thanos?

  • why so serious?

  • the joker killed batman parents and he tried o escape by running in the chemical factory and fell in it

  • @NiggerFuckful - The Joker never killed Bruce Wayne's parents. That was a story created by Tim Burton for the 1989 film. Batman Begins depicted their muder correctly when a desperate man named Chill gunned them down in a robbery gone tragically wrong.

  • joker is gordons son

  • Batman and The Joker always have been and always will be two sides of the same coin. The Jokers origin is to point out just how much of it is true.

  • I know it would be extremely difficult considering barely and documents of his childhood and past, but can you try deadpool, retracing all the way back to wade wilson.

  • @percussionko well back 2 wade wilson is easy but not much b4 he joined the weapon x experimentation division

  • The joker fukin kiks dick lol
