August sales for GM Junk is down 20 percent and ford is way up. It is just plain sad that this manufacturer is still in business with our money running the company.
Better recheck your numbers. Camaro sales are up each month it has been available. The mustang on the other hand has stagnet sales and is down 6% from last month compared to the Camaro being up 22% from last month. This is the 3rd straight month that the Mustang has fallen, while the Camaro continues to increase its sales. Ford only sold 6,289 Mustangs last month compared to 8,680 Camaros. Data taken from HighGear Media for Month to month data posted by the Manufactures.
Oh you 100% about the companies as a whole. It will be interesting to see how the new Camaro affects GMs bottom line. The Shelby has 540hp but also weighs 331lbs more then a stock GT and with that only beats the stock Camaro by 0.01 in a quarter. But it dominates on the price $10925 more for a base Shelby then a fulley loaded Camaro

Im a die hard Chevy boy theres only a few fords that i can say i really liked for example the original GT40 or the 60's mustang fastbacks. The new mustang has a real nice front end but they should of kept the rear i don't like how it turned out. But for me this Camaro may not be my favorite but with the combination of modern tech comfortable ride and a shit load of power it ranks pretty high up there.

@ezcondition In the end it is preference. If you read car reviews, Ford has better refinement in it's cars. The Camaro is the better looker, but the new Mustang has the better qualities. I want a Camaro, but I am more inclined towards the Mustang due to that reason.

The Camaro is very attractive (people give nods, smile, etc.), but it came much too later than anticipated. Even though it beats 2010 Mustang, Ford still came back with better stats with the 2011 versions. You can compare a 2011 Mustang with a 2010 Camaro, and see for yourself. Plus, Mustang actually improved the interior on 2011, while we are still waiting for 2011 Camaro.
@ezcondition Ford need help too like the rest, they just got their money from Germany so they stayed out of the bailout tabloids, not a ford guy, but that 2011 GT that is bringing back the 5.0 will finally put them back on map, like the shelby way back, and the fox body. The reason why GM used American and Canadian tax payer money: Quality, I have a 2005 Impala, totally solid. My mother's 2008 Impala is a heap, no panels fit correctly... The clear coat is not even and the interior looks on par with a Cobalt. How could GM do this? Maybe this will change now that GM dumped all their useless models... I have a Pontiac G5. Mechanically speaking, it's a damned good car, but like you say, paint, striping, panels and interior finish is not worth shit. I got a whole bunch of useless crap fixed on the warranty, just sucks I had to miss work. I had a Sunbird and a Sunfire before that and they were cheap cars, but at least the damned cigarette lighter worked! Hahaha. GM has really improved their engines and all, but they really gotta work on the details if they want to compete with the asians.
yea the camaro ss is definitly the best car out there for the money. Mine has all the options except for the 21'' wheels and it barley broke 36 thousand bucks and i ran cosistent 12.6 to 12.8s w/ just a corsa exhaust at the track. Hard to beat that!!!!

A GT500KR loses to a stock Z06 Corvette. The KR is fully built. The Z06 is just a naturally aspirated motor. Capable of 1100hp built and twin turbo'd aka the Lingenfelter Corvette.

The new mustang has a real nice front end but they should of kept the rear i don't like how it turned out. But for me this Camaro may not be my favorite but with the combination of modern tech comfortable ride and a shit load of power it ranks pretty high up there.

@ADD8oi THe Camaro is not bad and Ford's built quality is similar to Chevrolet's. Most chevy cars are Korean built and of course they're shit. Overall, US cars are miles behind German cars when it comes to quality and performance. BUT cars like Mustangs and Camaros do give you the bang for your buck.

@ezcondition In the end it is preference. If you read car reviews, Ford has better refinement in it's cars. The Camaro is the better looker, but the new Mustang has the better qualities. I want a Camaro, but I am more inclined towards the Mustang due to that reason.

The Camaro is very attractive (people give nods, smile, etc.), but it came much too later than anticipated. Even though it beats 2010 Mustang, Ford still came back with better stats with the 2011 versions. You can compare a 2011 Mustang with a 2010 Camaro, and see for yourself. Plus, Mustang actually improved the interior on 2011, while we are still waiting for 2011 Camaro.

The reason why GM used American and Canadian tax payer money: Quality, I have a 2005 Impala, totally solid. My mother's 2008 Impala is a heap, no panels fit correctly... The clear coat is not even and the interior looks on par with a Cobalt. How could GM do this? Maybe this will change now that GM dumped all their useless models... Hummer, Pontiac, Saturn to name a few.

I have a Pontiac G5. Mechanically speaking, it's a damned good car, but like you say, paint, striping, panels and interior finish is not worth shit. I got a whole bunch of useless crap fixed on the warranty, just sucks I had to miss work. I had a Sunbird and a Sunfire before that and they were cheap cars, but at least the damned cigarette lighter worked! Hahaha. GM has really improved their engines and all, but they really gotta work on the details if they want to compete with the asians.

yea the camaro ss is definitly the best car out there for the money. Mine has all the options except for the 21'' wheels and it barley broke 36 thousand bucks and i ran cosistent 12.6 to 12.8s w/ just a corsa exhaust at the track. Hard to beat that!!!!

rather use that 100k for a corvette zr1 and smoke every car in the production line look it up the corvette zr1 got one of the top times in nurburgring goin against the pagani zonda and maserati mc12. thats its only competition by the way on that course a 2010 camaro beat the supersnake lol and a chevy cobalt ss beat a v8 mustang. chevy just has it down with engineering also nissan with the GTR but i no most people here dnt car much for that car but yea ZR1 FTW.

The GT500 is a badass car, and is a level above everything the Camaro has to offer at the moment, when/if GM releases a Z28 Camaro, then you'll have your match-up, until then the SRT8 is the only thing remotly close to comparing
But why are we talking about Mustangs and Challengers here? The new Camaro kicks ass, this pace car kicks ass, and Indianapolis Motor Speedway kicks ass! I so want one of these, I hope they make production versions like the 69's and 67's did!
