As a matter of fact, yes! Or to be a bit more specific, the abandoned section of the former New Haven RR Watuppa branch about a mile from where I live (due to eventually become a bike trail). And I also know your dad (WA1ESO) very well! ;)
The bachmann heisler is about 9 pounds, and the same with the 36 ton shay. The 38 ton shay is about 12 pounds, and the 3-truck 59 ton shay is like 18 pounds.
In the other snow-plowing video I posted (with the live-steam Shay), I used these same 2 locos after the live-steamer couldn't hack plowing up the icy grade. The lead loco stuttered like crazy from the icy coating first lap around the main, cleared up afterwards. This storm here, no problem!

Have to love trains in snow. Shay's are my favorite engine and to see one in snow, cool. Can not what to repair mine inorder to run in snow.

Hey a minature cam mounted in the plow would make for a real great view.
have seen a few mounted in bud rdc's looks fantastic.

Do the engines... since they are electric, have problems running in the snow? Or is snow un-effective on models?
