Anyone who hasnt experienced mercury poisoning and is bashing this guy needs to be bashed in the head themselves...wake up...we're all being mercury poisoned, not just from the fish...go look in the mirror...i guarantee you have mercury "silver fillings" in your mouth. This is an epidemic and people are cutting Piven up because he's telling his story...dont be so ignorant, educate yourself before you make any more of a fool of yourselves.
It's not like Jeremy brings it up, people asks him about it so he just tells them about it. Besides it was dramatizing for him and that will always play a huge part in his life now, I mean he had a near death experience. But u know... i agree to disagree.
@sadie0087777 Don't be ignorant. You have no idea the impact mercury poisoning plays on the body and the brain. I've been chronically ill for 6 years because of it. He's right to educate people on the issue.
He should go off Broadway with a one man show based on his character from "One Crazy Summer." Or him and Jenny McCarthy should tour schools preaching the dangers of mercury poisoning. OR he and Val Kilmer should have little fat babies together that constantly try to make out with Paris Hilton.
I'll give it to him for knowing some Biggie... but to say he "grew up on that stuff" is a little strange. 'Ready To Die' was released in 1994... Piven was 29 years old in 1994. I think 29 years old is already considered grown.
Now, if he had recited some 'Sucker MC's' from Run DMC's first album in '84, I wouldn't have to be here boring you people with inane statistics.
@melizmatea - Why lose respect? Jeremy's departure from the show, whether valid or "baloney", has absolutely nothing to do with you or your life. And I'm sure Jeremy really cares anyway...

This has been on for weeks and just over 2,700 people have seen it. I wonder if Jeremy's caught on to just what a yawn fest he is.

That's baloney, and everyone in the New York Theatre community knows it. I lost total respect for him, forever.
