@RICKENBACKER FANS: This is 1st H.H. video I've seen with the rhythm guitarist playing a Ric. Is it a 6 or 12 string? To me it appears to be a 6, as the legendary Ric 12 string tone is not audible. And, have U seen more H.H. vids with the Ric? '65 was about when the first wave of them (12-string) hit, due to the Byrd's and Beatles playing them.
Good morning, do you like sixties? Listen and pod cast my program " great sound of 60' s " on the site plumfm. Greeting and made blooper in rock and roll.
Salut, vous aimez les sixties ? Ecoutez et podcatez mon émission "le super son des sixties" sur plum fm. Salut et faites gaffe au rock'n roll.
I don't care if i'm only 13, this music is amazing, period. Sure, my friends get all up in my face about it, but it's soooo worth it. Herman's Hermits is just a great band, one of my favorites. And NOBODY can change my view on that. Because you know it's true.
@crazy4paulmccartney I feel your pain. When I was 13 I loved music that was considered "oldies" (including the Beatles, the Monkees and Herman's Hermits) by my classmates. But I'm a lot older now, and I find those same classmates on Facebook (who used to tease me about liking such "old fashioned, corny" music) favoriting links to YouTube videos of the Beatles, the Monkees and Herman's Hermits!
@bst8035 Fair enough. Thanks for puttin' me mind at rest on that score. I was sure The Hollies covered this, but either I'm mistaken, or else, it might've been a live, unrecorded version they done. Much obliged, anyway, mate! Peace and love! Be lucky! :)
Timeless! Too bad they don't make music like this any longer, but thank God we have recordings of it; it's like REAL time travel...SOOOO COOL! Heavenly peace to all.....
This came out during the end of my Junior High or early Senior High years. Great song. Thanks for evoking all kinds of cool musical memories. School sucked. The music didn't.
@hgpup1995 yeah alot of people like them, but to you and every other kid who feels the need to post their age on EVERY 60s, 70s, and 80s songs NOONE gives a shit how old you are. You act like there's an age limit on music...
I'm sure he wasn't meant to be provoking. I find it very good to see that the young guys and girls still listen to this good music. This music is including very good virtues.
@daveslangsrocks Well to be pretty clear there IS an age limit of sorts on music. Music from one generation is usually ignored and forgotten by the following generations. Same thing with movies. I can't tell you how many people I know that haven't seen a single movie made before the 70's or 80's. Really depressing. I for one like to see younger people interested in older music, etc., because then I know that way it will never be forgotten. So at least one of us does give a shit.
I remember when the boys at parties and dances wore clothes like this and had those haircuts...We were just learning how to 'twist' and 'limbo' when the older boys on the block were being drafted for Vietnam...This is my favorite song by the Hermits.
I'd like to go back and spend a few years again from about 1955 to 1967. because I was drafted in 1968 and in vietnam 1969-1970. I don't want to go thru that part again. Peace and lots of loving 60s style.
@durangookid why dont you write a story series for television ? how you live ? how you survived ? or a documentary story for youtube series festival ? telling of our lives are needed for written documentary of how people of the past like us lived ? day to day feelings and fears of bullshit throughout our lives ? so ? they the future people can have indepth thought on how the minds of ol endured ? thank you .
@durangookid Hi, Jules here, I am so glad u love the 6o style. I remember seeing Vietnam on t.v. it must hav been horrendous 4 U. However thank God over 4 u now, and music is still here 4 you.! So enjoy.!
Richard, I'm yours forever faithfully!
