Theo's mother acting is absolutely fabulous, great voice, mimicks, sense of action, hard to desciribe in words, wish i see more of such good piece of acting nowadays

I think the reason Theo's mother bugs me so much is that she assumes that Tim is a pedophile based on nothing but rumours. The fact that she may be right is beside the point. She's decided that he's trying to hurt her son, and doesn't even listen to what Theo is saying or how he is acting (which is very convincingly like nothing happened). As a result, she comes off sounding like a paranoid shrew and I wish her husband would tell her (forcefully) to shut up and go home. But that's just me.

@globalman y even if she is homophobic the boy is 14 in the film she has the right not to want a pedohile to touch her son. just cause the 14 yr old started it dont make a difference the older guy should've known better. my ex bf was 13 when he was introduced to sex by a 17yr. and a 14 or 15 yr old has been after one of my soon to be ex friends. these type movies shouldnt exist cause our young gay children will see this and think its normal
