I remeber seeing this movie when i was 9. I had seen all of the other movies as well, and i eagerly awaited for the release of this one, and when it came, i was absolutely thrilled, i loved every moment of this film, and i still do, although my dad was disappointed and i never understood why, because i loved this movie, and i still do, and i still don't no why my dad doesn't like it.

I found every single one of the movies amazing except for episode 2. It has a great plot to it but it felt like it went of from the on path objective.

He betrayed Obi Wan and the Jedi alliance. It just made me mad. I think the young pre-Darth Vader was pretty dumb. Darth Vader is cool in the original 3 but he turns out to sort of be a good guy. But maybe it was good he turned to the dark side. They have cookies! Jk.
1. Beg Lawrence Kasdan to bring his skill to the screenplay (as he did for The Empire Strikes Back - OH YEAH! COMEON!).
2. Use more of the original music from the earlier films as they did in this trailer. (YES!)
3. Don't let George Lucas direct! (Sorry George, you're a great producer but your films always work out better when you hand over direction to someone else. [insert hot director suggestion here!]).

The first time i saw Star Wars was when i was around 3-5 years old... I LOVED them... I saw this movie when i was 10 years and i was amazed.... I love ALL the Star Wars movies... the trilogy AND the prequels...
at the end of the whole trilogy of star wars, i guess all the dead jedi that regretted anakin to be in the council regret what they said, he commands the sith now, i think that was awesome what darth hidous did to make anakin strong, at least the jedi arent taking advantagevof him, thats really unfair to anakin what obi kenobi and mac windu did
@127prats Dude, the acting is awful, writing is sloppy, characters have very little depth, filmography is boring and the action scenes have zero tension in them. These movies are for small children who are unable to appreciate the art and craft behind the original Star Wars movies.
@DropZone47 acting was good only hayden christensen was bad cuz he cannot act! The scene where all the jedi's are betrayed and killed is one of the best in all the 6 films, and it wasn't as boring as the first 2, this one was intense only if u would view this keeping the hate and the original trilogy away
Wanna talk about some weak acting and sloppy writing look at RETURN OF THE JEDI before this one. If you use the same critical thinking then that one can fall apart pretty easy. Ford and Fisher just seemed to give up, and plotlines felt rushed to get the story over with (when it was meant to go on longer) from the nonsensical timeline of Luke's training, no real incentive to turn to the Dark Side, and a climactic battle that really couldn't have dismantled the entire Empire.
@SLPIFan I agree, Return of the Jedi was a pretty average film. Still, the classics and iconic characters, exciting battle scenes, mostly great acting, meaningful photography and best of all it was all real. Nearly all of the scenes were done using models, thus the films look 50x more believable, no shitty looking animation. My argument isn't really against the prequel films themselves, but more the selfishness of George Lucas. He continues to find more ways to make mounds of money. My opinion.
Okay, sorry if I came off apprehensive. I do enjoy JEDI despite the problems I stated, but it's a very noticeable step down from HOPE and EMPIRE which are masterpieces plain and simple. And honestly despite its own problems I like Ep III more than it overall, which was a noticeable step up from its two predecessors. Honestly it to me does seem like that both are more often judged by what trilogy they're in then as standalones sometimes. (And yes, I've seen the RLM videos)

That's a whole other topic, but I didn't mind the aliens in CRYSTAL SKULL. And he is the main writer on them. But I agree he should move on from STAR WARS. I mean he has good intentions with altering the films (doing things he couldn't in the 70's/80's, connecting the saga more) but it is just unnecessary and he does make changes that are pretty undesirable (Vader screaming no). He wants to be perfectionistic over the films, but should accept the films as they are.
I know many are going to hate me for saying this but I honestly think that this was easily the best STAR WARS film since EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, and make no mistake. That included RETURN OF THE JEDI.

Why did that girl fall in love with him in the first place, all he did was kill people and bitch, plus he tried to kill her in this movie. we all know hes going to become vader so all the events of the films make no sense its just filler just so we can see the Vader costume again.
How did Luke's training work? Out of nowhere he's a fully trained Jedi Knight in JEDI. It's made clear that he did not go back to Yoda between films. Luke had absolutely no inscentive to join the Dark Side, but the Emperor persisted. Why didn't Han pay back Jabba after NEW HOPE? Why did Leia knowingly lead the Death Star to the rebel base? Vader's whole plan for Luke was for them to kill the Emperor together, yet stops Luke when he attempts to. Those things are in all of the movies.

Ep VI had the feeling of let's hurry this up and get it the hell over with. At least on the parts of Lucas, Ford, and Fisher. Ford and Fisher giving noticeably weaker performances. Plot points are rushed, and it's been made clear that there was supposed to be four more films set after EMPIRE to wrap things up more tautly.

@123LittleBastard no they're not they show what the character Darth vader used to be like when known as Anikin Skywalker and shows the sacrifice he went through both physically e.g burnt up into a crisp and became the man in the suit, and the loss of his friends an the people who meant the most to him. Further more the graphics are amazing.
i love how this movie fits the end of number 6 because anakin comes into the force as a master and they must hav been very lucky to find hayden christensen to look like the man who played him in the force in ep. 6 cuz they look alot alike
@FoolishInTheEnd Sidious planned the entire fight so he would be cornered and Anakin would show up and would have to choose to go to the dark side or remain faithul to the jedi. Yoda fled because sidious was fighting at his full power and realized that sidious is too powerful i guess
Am I the only one who cryed at the end of this movie? Yes. Probably. Because I'm a fag. But never-the-less, great movie. I know I'm one of the select few who enjoy both the originals and the prequels but in my personal opinion Ep.2 , Ep.3 , and Ep. 6 are the top in the series. All of the others (including episode 1) are close seconds.

Wasn't really a spoiler for anyone who saw Episodes 4, 5, an 6 first.
An it was pretty obvious in Episode 1 who Darth Sidious was anyways, unless you didn't pay to much attention which is understandable considering the quality of that movie.
In all honesty, I find this to be a stronger film than RETURN OF THE JEDI. The ensemble seemed more committed to me. Even Christensen while not great stepped up his game this time around, with very strong performances form Ian McDiarmid and Ewan McGregor. Honestly, only Hamill seemed to improve in JEDI, while Ford's disinterest was showing and Fisher's drug issues didn't help her performance either. This one deepened and darkened the story, JEDI became more commercialized. Both are good though.

In A New Hope, when Obi Wan makes his first apperence, He tells Luke he hasen't heard the name (Obi Wan) since before Luke was born, but in this movie natalie Portman fucks it up. Actually she might not have been the only one. I don't know, I haven't seen this movie in a long time.
He was convinced though that he had killed her, so by technicality he couldn't have thought of Sidious as a liar if he had killed her by his own hand outside of the childbirth scenario. And at that point after betraying the Jedi and the formation of the Empire, where else did he have to go?
@BC4Y there is one sentence in the brilliant book 'Revenge of the Sith' which explains just that: 'because, in the end, you do not want to destroy the shadow. Because, in the end, it is all you have left'. In many, many ways, the book is even better than the movie!

@SLPIFan you are stupid, but its your own opinion. This film and the last two made no fucking sense. Why did that girl fall in love with him in the first place, all he did was kill people and bitch, plus he tried to kill her in this movie. we all know hes going to become vader so all the events of the films make no sense its just filler just so we can see the Vader costume again.

How did Luke's training work? Out of nowhere he's a fully trained Jedi Knight in JEDI. It's made clear that he did not go back to Yoda between films. Luke had absolutely no inscentive to join the Dark Side, but the Emperor persisted. Why didn't Han pay back Jabba after NEW HOPE? Why did Leia knowingly lead the Death Star to the rebel base? Vader's whole plan for Luke was for them to kill the Emperor together, yet stops Luke when he attempts to. Those things are in all of the movies.

@adsasfd yea dude i dont care, im not a fanboy i just hate bad movies. I dont have time to study every detail in a bloody film. this movie sucks, these three would suck even without the past material. The last three films are not the best movies but atleast it had heart.
These films just had blue screen after blue screen. Geoge didnt even try he wrote the scripts on a knote-pad. lol

I take it this comment was meant for me and not yourself. I may agree with that about the first two of the OT, and I personally think this one. Ep VI had the feeling of let's hurry this up and get it the hell over with. At least on the parts of Lucas, Ford, and Fisher. Ford and Fisher giving noticeably weaker performances. Plot points are rushed, and it's been made clear that there was supposed to be four more films set after EMPIRE to wrap things up more tautly.

@123LittleBastard no they're not they show what the character Darth vader used to be like when known as Anikin Skywalker and shows the sacrifice he went through both physically e.g burnt up into a crisp and became the man in the suit, and the loss of his friends an the people who meant the most to him. Further more the graphics are amazing.

@FoolishInTheEnd Sidious planned the entire fight so he would be cornered and Anakin would show up and would have to choose to go to the dark side or remain faithul to the jedi. Yoda fled because sidious was fighting at his full power and realized that sidious is too powerful i guess

Am I the only one who cryed at the end of this movie? Yes. Probably. Because I'm a fag. But never-the-less, great movie. I know I'm one of the select few who enjoy both the originals and the prequels but in my personal opinion Ep.2 , Ep.3 , and Ep. 6 are the top in the series. All of the others (including episode 1) are close seconds.

I watched the original trilogy, both the original and the special edition. I like special edition more, and I like the prequel the most (esp, Ep2 and 3).

The original had a story the prequels just random evens happend which to the final movie which also sucked. i'm not a fanboy i dont love starwars or hate it but the originals are far better.

In all honesty, I find this to be a stronger film than RETURN OF THE JEDI. The ensemble seemed more committed to me. Even Christensen while not great stepped up his game this time around, with very strong performances form Ian McDiarmid and Ewan McGregor. Honestly, only Hamill seemed to improve in JEDI, while Ford's disinterest was showing and Fisher's drug issues didn't help her performance either. This one deepened and darkened the story, JEDI became more commercialized. Both are good though.

Am I the only one who noticed at the end before Padme died (after Luke was born) she says the name Obi Wan?
I know you all are probably thinking "Ya so?"
In A New Hope, when Obi Wan makes his first apperence, He tells Luke he hasen't heard the name (Obi Wan) since before Luke was born, but in this movie natalie Portman fucks it up. Actually she might not have been the only one. I don't know, I haven't seen this movie in a long time.

He was convinced though that he had killed her, so by technicality he couldn't have thought of Sidious as a liar if he had killed her by his own hand outside of the childbirth scenario. And at that point after betraying the Jedi and the formation of the Empire, where else did he have to go?
