Now you see in the old days, prior to any understanding of quantum interactions with classical scale objects - for example before we understood that plants are essentially quantum computers, and that the brain's structure is based upon microtubules which are shaped and scaled to interact with quantum scale packets. So now we must reexamine the whole PSI, ESP, brain design, behavior, personality, illness - for example what about Schizophrenia? Maybe we are sedating our shamans?
Wonderful video. I have no doubts. We are not alone. We are all connected through entanglement to our alternate verses. Meaning not only are we connected to everything, all time, all space, but also to every possible variation. At the core of all of this is CONSCIOUSNESS. A unified, infinite multi verse from which springs forth self awareness. We are a part of that universal self awareness, we are eternal, and time ain't nothin every word I mean.
First time I did overdose on 2c-e (comparable to mescaline) my view of reality was similar to 4D effect used in Rob's videos. I recommend to every psychonaut to have a portable voice recorder when tripping. This will allow to remember the craziest and mind-bending ideas.
I took LSD one time and all I remember talking about or "trying to explain" was my reality and going in and out of it. And then realizing it, and then going into a different reality every 10 minutes or so, over the course of 15 hours.
ya thats intersting because the 3d representation of a 4d sphere, i saw them in my first lsd trip. without even knowing what they were....now come to think of it i think i might of actually say them in 4d but me remembering it in my 3d existence...i cant comprehend all them in the wierd way i saw them.
-nothing more than a natural formation. I find his ideas very fascinating and I loved finding out about them, but as I said I haven't yet read his books although I intend to do so. I was just wondering where you stand on Graham's alternate view of human history?
10thdim, have you seen the documentary about Graham Hancock, I think it was a Horizon documentary. Well I've seen the docs showing his arguments etc, and plan to read his books, but this Horizon documentary really went to great lengths to show that his claims for a significant event in 10,500BC, showing that the "Drago" he sees in the layout of the temples of angkor wat is made by selecting certain temples among many and that the underwater city he claims to have found is not in fact a city but-
ok its all sound to suggest gravity waves slipping between branes via extra dimensions but ludicrous to suggest molecules doing something similar. i think its time the so called realist were given a reality check.
I have had my share of mystical expierinces with hallucinogens and so far i have to say that the most intense and most mind opening of the four i have done is 2C-I and i am not joking when i say i have visited other "worlds", only for a short time though, but i feel the more and more I experiment the more I come closer to these "worlds"
For anybody interested in experiencing what seems like the deeper working of your own mind...
- Take a prolonged hallucinogen (LSD, LSA, Shrooms etc..) & when fully in the 'trip' stare into your eyes in the mirror with candle light lighting your face,& try activating your 'minds eye' (similar to the sense of crossing your eyes, but from within, so your eyes dont cross - those who have experienced this will know what Im talking about) & 'climb' into yourself! If it works for you, let me know :-D
...the conscious state I'm currently experiencing, and after a lot of experience you can clearly make sense of the conclusion that what you're observing when in some of these states is the deeper workings and waves of energy holding 'reality' together like an ocean of existence.
This is the logical conclusion I've come to also over the space of about 8 years. I'm not a 'druggie', I smoke a bit of marijuana and that's it, but as I've always been interested in consciousness and mind states etc.. I've taken LSA, LSD, Shrooms, DMT, Salvia Divinorum, Blue Lotus, and other natural extracts, and still continue to do so from time to time (I only take natural herbs/extracts etc.. I don't do processed chemicals!), but for the purpose of trying to manipulate....
We can never Necessarily prove that we have see another dimension or have Experienced it what so ever. But you may be able to sculpt a idea of what it may be like, because It can be either a mental disorientation Or you Actually are able to Experience and perceive another Dimension other then the 3rd.Plus we must have a basis in which to work on..
From my Novice experience on dimensions I'd say we have no Actual Proof on how another dimension could be seen from our 3 dimension point of view.
shamanism is all about direct experience. you can't prove that anything you experienced happened if nobody else was there experiencing it with you. why not try inducing a mystical experience yourself instead of wait for someone to prove to you that they are real?
the 'dream healer Adam' impressed me the mix of shaman + quantum physics takes a leap~ he visualizes energy field, as well as enters human body with conscious intend of a meditative mind, what a bless!
Could it be that before we were born we may have lived in another dimension and when we die our spirit energy can either move into another dimension or remain in this one? Could it be when we dream we may be traveling into another dimension?
rob, I love this series, I really appreciate how you encompass a broad range of subject matter and I pretty much find each of these video logs interesting. I'm an aspiring engineer with a fundamental curiosity for the unknown and these videos really expand the mind and are really intuitive, thanks for making them.
It is easy to justify psychedelic use. I went through a shaman-phase many years ago--tried to prove to everyone their validity, read all the books, etc. But Rob, drugs are dangerous. You forgot one thing... a big fat: WARNING!!! Drugs can ruin your life--even if they are sacred (which I'm not arguing).
Since I have no experience with psychedelics myself,it's hard for me to comment on your claims. Yes, of course, there are drugs that ruin people's lives, and alcohol is one of those drugs. But psychedelics? There are a great many professionals who lament the prohibition that has been placed upon research into the use of these psychoactive substances by a militant few, and I'm aware of that in part because I come from Saskatchewan where research into hallucinogens was at the forefront in the 60s.
I'm not saying psychedelics do make you truly see other dimensions, but I can say, when I tried Salvia, the only possible way I could describe it was "Feeling Time".
Who knows, but it was definatly an interesting experience. I would wonder
what someone as smart as yourself would make of it. If I had to guess, I'd say reality is purely subjective and psychedelics just allow you to see it differently.
@10thdim Please Rob, do consider participating in a psychedelic study. I want to hear about your first-hand experience. It saddens me that a person like yourself , who has such a gift at visualizing and explaining extra dimensions, has not experienced these states. It is without a doubt, that you can experience yourself outside of time. I have been to infinity, and it was indeed infinity. Most psychedelics are perfectly safe. An experience in a controlled environment is what you deserve.
Great video, Rob, thanks! It's excellent to know that there are people from a scientific background who are considering this. Have you read Dr. Rck Strassman's book DMT: The Spirit Molecule?
Another one I recommend is Breaking Open the Head by Daniel Pinchbeck..he's very articulate on his experiences and visions...then there is also Terence McKenna who's lectures and books are gold...
Shaman's and other metaphysics have been speaking of other dimensions and seeing things that are normally not able to be observed for thousands of years... they also spoke of aura's around people and what do you know, science has just developed a machine that displays a bio-energy field around people and objects (aura) even though, again, shaman's have been speaking of these type of things for quite a while, and the thing is, people have similar descriptions that are not involved with each other
Sorry Rob, gotta call Bullsh*t on Hancock. He comes for the Chariots of the Gods/face on Mars/Alien Cropcircles are real kinda journalism that's always good for a get rich quick career. Terrence McKenna, for all his eccentricity, never gave me the impression that he was trying to BS us. Sure, the woo-woos eat up Handcocks stuff, but that kind of balony just puts us farther from any real truth.
This is what I say here as well- that I found myself resisting his ideas until I read his book. Have you read "Supernatural"? If not, how can you say it's BS?
My apologies...I haven't read 'Supernatural'. What I did was listen to about an hour or so of his radio talks here on youtube. All his books are the stuff Art Bell and his listeners live for. My impression was he's just following in Von Danikens footsteps for a quick buck. He makes extraordinary claims but won't be cornered on supporting them.
Do you have any links you can give me for his talks about the relationship between shamanism and the hidden patterns of our reality that are here on youtube? I'd be curious to hear what you're saying sounds unsupportable about him in these clips.
hhmm, my reply didn't post. I guess links are a no-no. Well, typing in Graham Hancock will pull up several. Mind you I love this kind of stuff. I've devoured books like his for over 30 years. But as much as I would like to believe in such goings on, the truth is more important to me. I know most philosophers would say truth is subjective....but still...
Oh, and if you dig on Shamanism (like I do), but want to still keep it firmly rooted in the rational, you might want to check out Joseph Campbell's "The Power of Myth". He also has some great lectures you can score off itunes. "The Shaman swims in the waters a psychotic drowns in"...love that quote. One of his that's stuck in my head.
I'll do some searches for that Hancock interview stuff then. You're right about not being able to paste web addresses in to the comments here: the little trick you have to use is to post only the second part of the youtube address:
watch?v=pHO2h_NPkE8
which of course then requires people interested in seeing the video to do a little cut and paste operation.
I have voluminous personal experience with induce altered states and have seen and talked with other who have seen/had very similar "visions"..after all the vast universe is all contained in our own brains the micro and the macro....the spiral..the unfolding...the gentle collapsing. Does the universe still exist without human contemplation of it ?
What's important to keep in mind is that most of the drugs mentioned in this video are either chemically nearly identical to Serotonin (a neurotransmitter), or, in the case of DMT, is a neurotransmitter itself. DMT has been found in the brain, and almost every living thing produces some amount of it. It's role is still unknown, although the enzyme which produces it has been identified. Some researchers postulate that DMT is responsible for near-death experiences, and perhaps meditative states.
Love that song too, Rob. "what I feel for you" reminds me of some of the themes in David Byrne's - Feelings. "It's the pain that keeps us alive. But that beauty is all that we need to survive"
Yes, Terence had some amazing ideas, I've said before that it's too bad he's not around for YouTube, it would have been a great medium for him. Here's one of the vlogs where I talk about him:
I've had entheogenic-like experiences with some form of informal kundalini yoga. I can relate to unordinary states of consciousness and their deep in your faceness. Rational, of course, in its own way. Rational, informational beyond the English language.
I have progressed much more than I expected with meditation. I can go into nirvikalpa samadhi (nirvana in buddhist terminology) in about 5 to 30 minutes, depending on how spontaneously loose I can get my thought process. I have had a continuous experiential unfolding for the past year, starting with June 2008 when I 95 % so to speak commited to a spiritual path beyond materialism and religion. Such profound change has happened to me, which is deeply insane and sane at the same time, beautiful.
To all those who say "be rational, keep it rational," I say this video is plenty rational.
Physicist and consciousness researcher, Thomas Campbell, said that "you have to experience" higher state of conciousness to fully understand this topic.
People who have never experienced a higher state of consciusness will never realize just how rational this is.
(and you dont need drugs to experience this. read "My Big Toe" by Thomas Campbell.)
its not easy to describe the awareness of being in a state of higher consciousness, but what i can say from my experience is that when i silence all the chatter in the mind long enough the senses sharpen and i can feel or should i say i am aware that i exist both inside and outside my body.
an epiphany of higher conciousness is the realization that the body is a vehicle for the soul. (soul searching)
i recommend the youtube video lectures and interviews of Thomas Campbell and Terence McKenna.
the consciousness, I understand. We have big brains, which gives us consciousness. But how do you know that we have a soul? If you mean with a soul that it is something that keeps on existing after your death, it seems quiet impossible.
I agree that entheogenic experiences allow you to experience small portions of different dimensions. The DMT universe is so incredibly real, much more "real" than our 3rd dimension. I believe that these substances expand the frequency of our perception to the currently unseen. I can't even call them drugs because they are categorized with crack and heroin but are 100% different. If you haven't tried it, don't judge those who have because you simply do not understand :-) That is the truth.
why do you think you can see these different dimension only in a altered state?
if you gonna talk about something like this do point out the changes in the human body under these drugs. otherwise you are just spewing psycho babel. -keep it rational
As I've said many times and in this video as well, there are many ways to achieve altered states without using drugs, and I have no experience with using psychedelics myself.
yes but you also talk about only one side of the story, and don't talk about how easy it is to trick the seances, you speak as tho these "hallucinations" are 100% true. Using imagination as evidence does not count aka visions, meditation, or taking drugs, so on and so on. Im simply saying thee is a medical side to this story.
the present chemicle state of your brain is decoding patterns of energy that is forming your perception, when other 'ingredients' are added different patterns of energy and information become more apparent and perceivable. You rely on technology to tell you the 'true' story of reality, when in fact technology is appendage of human perception, there is as much rationale in robs supposition as their is in your faith in the imperical. cheers
academic institutions, multi-national conglomerates, food industry, pharmeceutical companies, munitions production. The potential of scientific discovery is geared towards the perpetuation of the capitalist system. This is why the media and academia promote a materialistic idealogy - our planet is the third stone from the sun and we are nothing more than an accident from a random game of galactic marbles, This is why they don't like hallucinogens and don't promote meditation.
I agree leezus83. They do not want quiet introspection, that's non-productive - they want consumerism. I think you can have a balance and coexist. Keep the wheels of the machine turning, do your bit but still take time out and explore hyperspace and/or meditate.
Well, it's a pretty simple chorus, so there's probably other ones that are similar. But yes, I did write this and all of the other 26 songs that are attached to this project. Thanks!
I used to think like that too. I held off until I was 40. I decided to find out what psychoactive substances actually did - scientific curiosity you understand. I had a number of sublime experiences. Even if these substances do not allow interdimensional travel - they open ones mind in a way nothing else can. Society scared me and kept me from those substances for years. I do not recommend drugs and this was in the past but I'm glad of my experiences.
im writing a book about my adventures ive had on LSD I dont mean taking it and leaving the house, i take it and lay on my bed in complete darkness with rymthic drumming on my ipod my mind has been to some strange places and i wish i had a camera that could capture what ive seen.

i also want to point out that KUNDALINI teaches us that the human body is a receptor, like an antenna.
and we can use our mind to tap into states of higher conciousness or "other dimensions."

Agree. Very good point !
I read "My Big TheoryOf Everything", this book is awesome .

what is a higher state of consciousness?, what defines it? and how do you know you have reached it?
disturbed119 2 years ago
its not easy to describe the awareness of being in a state of higher consciousness, but what i can say from my experience is that when i silence all the chatter in the mind long enough the senses sharpen and i can feel or should i say i am aware that i exist both inside and outside my body.
an epiphany of higher conciousness is the realization that the body is a vehicle for the soul. (soul searching)
i recommend the youtube video lectures and interviews of Thomas Campbell and Terence McKenna.
jokerbookshop 2 years ago
that could be true if the "soul" was true/exists
disturbed119 2 years ago
soul & conciousness are the same thing.
(everyone has a soul/conciousness)
jokerbookshop 2 years ago
prove it?. Other wise no they are not
disturbed119 2 years ago
the consciousness, I understand.

Metaphysic materialism prevents the consistent 5 star ratings of this video by some subscribers.

Excellent video

why do you think you can see these different dimension only in a altered state?
if you gonna talk about something like this do point out the changes in the human body under these drugs. otherwise you are just spewing psycho babel. -keep it rational
disturbed119 2 years ago
As I've said many times and in this video as well, there are many ways to achieve altered states without using drugs, and I have no experience with using psychedelics myself.
Thanks for writing,
Rob

yes but you also talk about only one side of the story, and don't talk about how easy it is to trick the seances, you speak as tho these "hallucinations" are 100% true. Using imagination as evidence does not count aka visions, meditation, or taking drugs, so on and so on. Im simply saying thee is a medical side to this story.
disturbed119 2 years ago
the present chemicle state of your brain is decoding patterns of energy that is forming your perception, when other 'ingredients' are added different patterns of energy and information become more apparent and perceivable. You rely on technology to tell you the 'true' story of reality, when in fact technology is appendage of human perception, there is as much rationale in robs supposition as their is in your faith in the imperical. cheers

ok fair enough your theory might be right so please do provide a link to some some hard proof and facts that explains what you are saying.
i don't know whats up with alll the add homenim stacks, you sir are full of it, i don't have faith in science because i know it works.

who it works for ? care to elaborate

academic institutions, multi-national conglomerates, food industry, pharmeceutical companies, munitions production. The potential of scientific discovery is geared towards the perpetuation of the capitalist system. This is why the media and academia promote a materialistic idealogy - our planet is the third stone from the sun and we are nothing more than an accident from a random game of galactic marbles, This is why they don't like hallucinogens and don't promote meditation.
leezus83 2 years ago 2
I agree leezus83. They do not want quiet introspection, that's non-productive - they want consumerism. I think you can have a balance and coexist. Keep the wheels of the machine turning, do your bit but still take time out and explore hyperspace and/or meditate.

I recognise the chorus from somewhere, it's very familiar, I love the words, did you write it?
Kellerharius 2 years ago
Well, it's a pretty simple chorus, so there's probably other ones that are similar. But yes, I did write this and all of the other 26 songs that are attached to this project. Thanks!

I agree with you, Rob, have never used drugs to reach an altered state.
It's just training and anyone can learn it.
Besides, IMHO, I feel it is best to be without influences to keep your mind from being influenced. Keep it real.
atomarane 2 years ago
I used to think like that too. I held off until I was 40. I decided to find out what psychoactive substances actually did - scientific curiosity you understand. I had a number of sublime experiences. Even if these substances do not allow interdimensional travel - they open ones mind in a way nothing else can. Society scared me and kept me from those substances for years. I do not recommend drugs and this was in the past but I'm glad of my experiences.
