@SeattleCoffeeGear I'm not talking about the first shot here I'm talking about the second one at 3:54 in the video with a pod like in the other video. That shot took much less time to finish than in the other video.
@klarinetta Hmmm...not really sure; we shot them so far apart and they were basically using the same things -- could be that the pod in the second video (this one) wasn't as fresh. Not really positive. - Kat
@SeattleCoffeeGear ok. when i filled my whole shot glass, i got the bubbles to come out, and that was 2 oz. when i filled up half way, the espresso was pretty good and i still had a lot of water in the handpresso.
Well, this is just one of the not-very-inspiring Handpresso demos. Saw the MyPressi demos and bought one a few days later. Can't wait for it to get here.
We did try it out using the 'intense' lid on the Handpresso and it had much better results. Although I personally think the MyPressi makes better shots. - Kat
Um, I'll stick to an espresso machine - hahaha! Kat - you need to make an appearance in FRONT of the camera. I've been watching these for ages and want to see the lady with "the laugh!"
Ha - well I commend you if you can wrangle your espresso machine on a backwoods hike! ;) IMHO, that's the best application of this little guy. I am camera shy! You will have to be satisfied with my ridiculous giggle for now :) - Kat
I'd be interested to hear how coffee from these units compare to coffee from the Aerobie Aeropress. I have the Aeropress, and really like it, but was wondering if this would be a worthwhile addition.
Well, they are very different processes; the Aeropress is more of a concentrated french press flavor and this is more traditional espresso shot flavor. - Kat
Working on it! We started our MyPressi demo that same night but had a few technical difficulties. Hoping to finish it up this week and will post ASAP. - Kat
can the dome pod version also use the espresso packets from the previous version?

@mattj4554 No - this is made specifically for ground only. BUT, they just released a version that you can do both with - video to come. - Kat

@SeattleCoffeeGear Thanks!

WIth a bit of practice and actual fresh ground coffee you get better results. And pump it way past the redline.

What did you differently here with the pod version than in your other video? The shot here took much less time to finish ?
klarinetta 1 year ago
@klarinetta This is using grounds and not pod; it doesn't perform quite as well. - Kat

the reason it is so weak is that you made a double shot. if you do a single, you need to stop it half-way.

@Pyrotech100 Nope - the shot was just barely over 1 oz. - Kat

@Pyrotech100 if you can get your hands on the intense portafilter lid, it makes a huge difference and a much better shot with the Handpresso. - Kat
