How can Robert Pattinson meet Robert Mapplethorpe? Mapplethorpe has been dead for a number of years now.
If you didn't mean literally then it's like you're giving credit to Mapplethorpe for something he didn't even do.
And just to put it out there, Mapplethorpe worked with people that were famous for good reason.
