  • Calling this the greatest goal in US soccer history is disgusting.

  • i love how our country loves soccer once every 4 years

  • I love it: This ass is brought to you by: The Kansas City Wizards! CLASSIC

  • I wanna see the reaction when U.S.A vs Mexico gold cup lol

  • Greatest goal in U.S. Soccer history??? Ehh I think this one and Abby Wambach's are battling it out for the top spot.

  • @sportsguy2412 - sorry, but none of us have seen the greatest goal in US soccer history - Joe Gaetjens scored a goal in the 1950 World Cup to beat England 1-0. That is the greatest goal in US soccer history. A complete disaster for England. A fantastic triumph for USA. I'm sure this info has been posted prior.

  • @whatevah13 woah cool man! Thanks for the info! Maybe i should rephrase my comment to best goal for the U.S in the past 10 years! Again thanks for the info!

  • @nitro300 dude shut the fuck up you come on to a video about us men's soccer goal and go into detail about schools in europe no one gives a shit you moron watch the video and shut the fuk up. You obviously have nobody to talk to so maybe you should invest in a dog you dips hit

  • Reason America won't win is its not the Passion they don't have the coaching and they don't develop talent like Europe plus the schools in Europe are first class to the ncaa a really good football player does not not go to the ncaa. Plus you have basketball baseball and pigskin.

  • @nitro300 You are absolutely right. America produces some un-freaking-believable athletes BUT those athletes don't play this sport. If we pulled some of our BEST talent of the courts or fields of other sports as kids and taught them soccer we would KILL on an international level in this sport. However, in America that's not what we teach our kids. =/ Our team is still ok but with the level of athletes we put out here we COULD be BEAST....but we aren't. Still a loyal fan though! U-S-A!

  • @UrbanRomance89 yea it would be amazing to see the best basketball players and US football players compete

  • she wont see me....da da da *little glance* ...SCORE!

  • and before you go "well that was a long time ago so that doesnt count" i can say the same thing about your wolrd cup wins

we have been taken seriously as a team since 2002

i wanna know why did you even bother searching this video if all you were going to do was say ignorant comments like we have no passion

who are you to say what passion really looks like?

soccer is still growing in america and from the decent sized number of people that watch soccer

    this is passion

  • @zaneps151 ur just a stupid american that thinks that u guys have passion, when u don't... go to a baseball game and people just go to eat and catch a ball, go to a basketball game and people only scream defense like stupid fucking robots, go to an american footblal match and all u see are fat ass white people screaming WOO, go to a football (soccer) match and there isn't anybody.. nobody cares about the usa, get over it

  • @diegomanya17 who are you to say what passion is?

i dont go to a baseball game or a football game and my city doesnt even have an NBA team

and go to an MLS game and there is over 30,000 people there and thats because the stadiums arent big enough to hold the 100,000 that an NFL stadium would hold

  • @zaneps151 So ? What does it matter if you can fit even 200,000 people in a stadium, if they don't even sing ? USA is boring man.. get over it

  • @diegomanya17 ok singing is a european thing so dont act like you came up with that

and so what if we dont sing, singing doesnt prove passion

    attendance proves passion

and there are alot of people that attend MLS games

im not saying we have more passion than your cuntry because we dont but america does have passion when it comes to soccer

just not to the same degree as some other countries

that being said, it still doesnt mean we dont have passion

  • @zaneps151 Show me a video of sports passion in the USA, show me.... Attendance proves passion ? Yeah if the team is playing good and if the ticket is cheap.. Europeans invented singing ? Why don't u inform yourself about 'barras' in South America, which are the hard core fans in South America.. They started in Argentina & Uruguay and the movement started in the 19th century... please, americans don't have passion, that's why when they go to other stadiums in other countries they're like woooww

  • @diegomanya17 again im not saying we have more passion then you

we do have passion but not to the degree of other nations around the word

if u said we didnt have passion 20 years ago id agree with you because no one in the US cared about soccer back then

eventually we will have just as much passion as you do for the sport

wont be for awhile but it will happen

  • ya and u still havent won a major tourney in 15 years

  • and havent been in the world cup finals in 60 years also

  • lol "Yea...aww...........YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

  • C'mon that was not the greatest USA gol at all. I'd choose the 2nd to Brasil in the 2009 Confederations Cup final match. That was, actually, a master piece of a counter attack.

  • DAT ASS

  • Man, for all of those saying it's no big deal..Doesn't that make you hypocritical? I mean, how the fuck are we supposed to grow in football as a country without having these important steps? Not every country HAS to be excellent right off the bat..(Italy, Brazil, Uruguay early on, etc.)

  • im glad im not the only one who notices a killer ass when i see one

  • The best thing in USA football history was this hahaha please, in any South American or European country this is normal... You guys don't have passion

  • @diegomanya17 so european and south american countries score game winning goals that move them on to the scond round of the world cup all the time and the fans dont react like this?

then i guess every european and south american fan must be an emotionless robot

    this is passion

go troll on someone else's video

  • @zaneps151 No dumb ass, u guys think that this was the best celebration in history hahaha please, i can tell u have never been to south america or europe, we have 49234023 times more passion than u guys do.. u guys dont have passion, no emotion, u r sad people..

  • @diegomanya17 ok this isnt the biggest celebration in history

who ever said that is ignorant

its because not everyone in america follows the sport like in ur country

im not saying we have more passion then you

eventually the whole contry will be celebrating and true passion will come out

and we obviously have emotion too if we werent reacting in celebration for this goal

why do you troll to piss people off?

you need to go away and let the americans enjoy this without ur ignorance

  • @zaneps151 u r american, u have no passion, emotionless bitch, go play baseball, sad fat ass

  • @diegomanya17 1. i dont even play baseball i find it boring

    2. ur judgements are based on nothing

    3. ive played soccer al my life, love the sport to death, and defend it from ignorant people that call it gay and stupid

what is passion then to you since you seem to know so much about it then?

i would love to see what you think is passion

and on a side note, it wont be long before we're knocking your country out of the world cup

Forlan cant carry your team forever

  • @zaneps151 My club, Peñarol : /watch?v=aGyQGvktln8 .... Oh don't worry, we have Suarez, Cavani, Hernandez, Lugano, Godin and a lot of great players that don't play on the national team, such as Coates and Aguiar.. U on the contrary, only have Donovan and Dempsy, which both suck... We have 2 world cups, u 0.. bye bye fat yanki

  • @diegomanya17 ur two world cups were when? the 1930's? u havent won the world cup in like 60 or 70 years so saying uve won the world cup twice doesnt mean that much at all

and we also have tim howard who is one the best goalies in the EPL and in the world

and donavan sucks? ya thats not true considering the fans in everton have said to the press that they want him back

we also have bradley, altidore, and onyewu (who is with AC Milan)

lets not forget we beat spain and almost beat brazil

  • @zaneps151 So ? what does it matter ? We have 2 world cups.. That's more than Spain, France, England, Holland, Portugal, Mexico, USA, Russia... We have 19 international cups, which makes us the country with most international cups.. Howard one of the best golies ? hahahaahahahah haahahaahah.. no won knows your country or your players... you have no international cups.. u suck man please.. altidor ? bradley ? what cups did they win ? who r they ? hahaha omg please, ur a joke.. go win a world cup

  • @diegomanya17 actually we've won the gold cup 4 times and thats an international cup

and yes tim howard is one of the best goalies

he starts for everton and he was a backup for manchester united

altidore plays for villareal in spain

where were you guys in 2006 btw?

we were in germany while u watched back home

and i looked up your titles and you havent won a major international cup in 15 years

  • @diegomanya17 and im willing to put money on that the US wins a world cup before uruguay wins their 3rd

and ya u may look at our history and see from 1950 to 1990 we werent at the world cup but we're getting better REALLY fast

and ur comparisons to the countries you have more world cups then are dumb

    france one

    england one and spain one

holland has done better than you considering theyve been to the finals more than you they just never captured a title sadly

  • @zaneps151 What is the point of playing 3 finals if you lose all 3 ? Uruguay in finals has 100 % efficiency... Plus if the US wins a WC (which I think they will never win, they just don't have good players, like mexico )before we win the 3rd (which is possible, our next generation of players is said to be the best of south america along with brazil) it won't change anything because we will still have 1 more cup than u guys will have (if u win).. cheers

  • @diegomanya17 well look what happened to brazil they lost to holland in the quarter-finals

and u guys havent been in the final in 15 years

and we do have good players who all of our good players, except for donovan, play over in europe

the only players from mexico's team that play in europe are dos santos and chicharito where everyone else plays in the mexican league

we will see in 4 years who's right and who's wrong

  • @zaneps151 Playing in Europe doesn't mean your good.. We can't keep players in South America because in Europe they offer more money, if we could, our leagues would be the best.. We would have Messi, Forlan, Tevez, Robinho, etc... Brazil lost because of Dunga, he is a bad manager.. I suggest you watch the Copa America tonight, Argentina will play Bolivia.. Copa America is the oldest tournament in the world

  • @diegomanya17 still doesnt change the fact that you havent won a major internatioal cup in 15 years

  • @zaneps151 So ? What have u won ? Concacaf is the worst federation, all their teams suck... That's why never a Concacaf member has even made it to world cup semis... u guys should play some other sport

  • @diegomanya17 the USA made it to the world cup semi-finals before actually so you're wrong there

we've won the gold cup too

    this discussion is over

you are just some pathetic internet troll who gets a boner when someone freaks out to your stupid comments

saying this country has no passion is a joke

we have good players and are going to do better and better as years progress

so what if soccer isnt our biggest sport

the 12,000 people that were at the ghana game sure do love the sport

  • @zaneps151 woow good for u, well, uruguay played semis 4 times and was champion 2 times.. Gold cup haha the worst cup ever, nobody even watches it.. Nba best player is Novitski (German).. No one plays baseball except u, cubans and japs.. no one plays american football, u aren't the best at grass or ice hockey, nor tennis nor golf... When it comes to sports, USA isn't a good country in actuality

  • @diegomanya17 ok if we're bad at aports then how come in the summer and winter olympics we are always in the top 5 in the medal count

dirk isnt the best player in the nba also

dude why are you saying we suck at sports when uruguay is only good at one?

and i know ur comeback is gonna be that soccer is the only one that matters

well when it comes to sports in general we are up there among the best countries in the world and uruguay is at the bottom

  • IWSIIHB

  • How come everyone is so excited? Are they related to Donovan? Are they going to get a share of the profits from the game? Are any of the players going to thank any of these people or mention them at all? Do these people have any connection to any of the players or staff? I don't think so.. So why? Fucking sports fans who take it that seriously are fucking retards who get excited at the success of others because they never went anywhere. "I'm an Eagles fan" No your not you just like green...

  • @brybry19871987 you took all that time out of your day to type that out? wow

  • @brybry19871987 Why do you care so much what people like? I'm sure you have a hobby or two that doesn't make you any money or help you in any way, like posting comments on Youtube, for example. Why do you post comments on Youtube? You'll never make any money off of it or get any real life benefits, you just like doing it. If I called you stupid for doing it, and told you to stop, would you? People like what they like. Let em be.

  • @brybry19871987 retard...probably a psychopath too.

  • @wade2bosh No not possibly a psychopath... I'm just saying people waste their lives looking at other peoples dreams and get excited like its their own, when at the end of the day nothing will be different when they go to bed that night. Sports fans are stupid assholes with no personality.

  • @brybry19871987 You are a total FAILURE at life. You should take the time to reassess your values and views, because they may be a little dimwitted. I know this is the internet, but no need to take on an opinion that's most likely not your own. i'm giving you the benefit here of being smarter than you sound, because that was a pretty ignorant not just that, completely stupid thing of you to say ...I'm not suggesting you find a sports team, i'm suggesting you're an idiot that needs counseling. :)

  • @tonebone8 Mmmhmm seems like I can get under your skin without even trying, seeing as how you weren't even part of the conversation.. So let me ask you something. Who's worse? The person who states his opinion or the one who tries to change it? "No need to take on an opinion thats not your own" Yea well no need to be a "youtube soldier" either you fucking loser. I'm at work right now and I have all the time in the world to kill thats why I'm on youtube. Whats your excuse? loser.

  • @brybry19871987 Youtube soldier? lol we're done here

  • @tonebone8 Yea thats what I thought you'd say when I made you realize what you are. I win.

  • @brybry19871987 whatever floats your boat loser

  • @brybry19871987 quit trollin on this video

why did u even search this video if u dont even follow sports?

people watch this video because they love to watch this sport and play it

Alot of people watch stuff like this as motivation to do great things in the sport of soccer like this moment

what i really want to know is why did you even bother searching this video in the first place when you dont even follow sports

i think its because ur an internet troll who likes to piss people off

  • @zaneps151 Well I think your a gym class hero

  • @brybry19871987 thats what i thought

u really are an internet troll

i feel sorry for you that you have nothing better to do than to go on youtube and make comments to piss people off

  • @zaneps151 Your mother, contrary to popular belief and the beliefs of the church, is a whore.

  • @brybry19871987 someones mad that i called them out

  • @zaneps151 No I just had to let you know about your mom cuz I know all these years you thought she was a good classy lady. When in fact she wasn't. Ask her about "The peanut butter and Jelly special" She'll know what your talking about. Good times. Good times.

  • @brybry19871987 ya now ur just trying to piss me off which isnt gonna work with stupid your mom jokes because that kind of stuff doesnt bother me

your stupid comebacks make me laugh

  • @zaneps151 I think its working gloriously according to plan. Your the douche bag who goes around "calling people out" on youtube. Get a job ya nipple head. And brush your teeth.

  • @brybry19871987 i dont go around youtube calling people out

i go onto youtube to watch videos of things i would like to watch like 99 percent of the people on this site

and i do have a job thank you

  • @zaneps151 someones mad I called them out.

  • @zaneps151 you didnt call me out on anything so what do i have to be mad about>

  • @brybry19871987 rofl i love sports but man this is a good one. glad i'm bored and found this post made my day

  • Comment removed

  • @slobbybobby2, jealous much?

  • For some reason this makes the muscles on my forehead move weirdly lol...We love you, Donovan!

  • @diegomanya17 , oh, and it doesn't matter, because soccer comes from the words ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL, lol, idiot...

  • fuck the us.

  • @slobbybobby2 hahahah, umad bro?

  • Woo I was there!!!

  • Greetings from Uruguay.. Oh it's FOOTBALL not SOCCER

  • KC represent!

  • It's soccer

  • Man I got the chills when that croud erupted

  • power and light district...thats where i go to get drunk!

  • It's football, not soccer...please...

  • That's a fun video however the goal is hardly the greatest goal in US soccer history.

  • OBAMA said the WHITE HOUSE SHOOK when this happened lol

  • @mhezzy LMAOOOOO

  • i was cheerin for the goal...but...the ass...damn that got me excited

  • Forget the game, get back to DAT AZZ!!

  • USA!!! The reaction was kinda funny cuz they were like awwwhh!!!.....YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

  • Wow america´s middle class should burn more calories, please don´t shoot me...

  • And who said we weren't patriotic..

  • nice...but you weren't in serbia when we won against Germany...it was 3x louder and better atmosphere than this one

  • @RapExclusive1 I was at this place for this game, and the next game against Ghana.. Look up Kansas City World Cup Ghana or something like that.. There were about 10,000 more people there for that game.. Estimates were from 10,000-15,000 and that thing was full, including every bar

  • hahaha...love the ass shot

  • pause the video at 0:07. second best part of video

  • THUMBS UP FOR THAT BOOTY AT 0:07!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TheCommanderMalander that was a cracking arse

  • @TheCommanderMalander yeahhhh i was the 50th thumbs up haha ive tried to be 50 until now i feel cool lol

  • @TheCommanderMalander

What booty? you call that a booty? lol

  • They should have won against Ghana they had some good chances toward the end near the 90th minute...too bad the defense was to slow in overtime.

  • OHHHHH!!!! ...............YEAHHHH!!!!!!!

  • oh Americans, you're so cute when you're watching football

  • I wish the World Cup were every single year like the Super Bowl.

  • 0:08, sneaky little glance.

  • thats probably about the only soccer fans in the U.S.

  • @Evo10Rocks Perhaps if you took a look around, you'd think otherwise.

  • @Emper0rH0rde

Nope still the same there either watching FootBall of Baseball

    BTW I Live in California

  • @Evo10Rocks Well, for what it's worth, there are millions of soccer fans in the US.

  • i watch this video everyday and i still get goosebumps

  • that moment was one of the biggest highs of my life!

  • i really want to know, how many livers got lost and how many children were fathered after this game.

  • I cried when I saw that goal. He basically lifted the hopes of this entire nation with that goal and the u.s beating algeria.

    USA all the way!! :)

  • 0:07 haha

  • el gol que mas celebré en ese ese puta Mundial!!!

(best goal in that f&$/())=) World Cup!!!)

  • I cried.

  • @EricTheReaper I still crying....

  • @EricTheReaper I still crying....We need to press hard on the federation so we get better coaches and scouts...Enough of coaches mediocrity USA WILL DOMINATE THE PLANET...RESISTANCE IN FUTILE...

  • Yeah they did advance more in 02 but this is the best goal in US history because when all hope was lost Donovan came out of no where and saved the day.

  • What I do not get is, I thought the US advanced farther in the world cup in 2002. Or am I mistaken? I just don't see how this is the greatest goal in US soccer history.

  • @dolphinsneu i think it's because in 2002 we kind of 'backed in' to the round of 16. here, our fate was in our own hands, and with donovan's goal we went from elimation to winning our group.

it was sweet knocking out mexico in 2002 though!

  • Can KC move out of that minor league baseball stadium!

  • @TheSwaggasotight They ar building probably the second best stadium in the league behind RBA. Research is key to not making yourself look like a fool on the internet.

  • @begley9 LOL U MAD BRO? :)

  • @lacrossestar83 Why would I be mad? My team is building a stadium, I'm excited.

  • Thumbs up if you think USA should of beaten Ghana if not for the very poor performance by Altidore and Dempsey. No wonder Altidore plays only for Hull City and only Hull city

  • Comment removed

  • @batmankid45 luv u 2 so shut up

  • still gives me chills!!!

  • @TheSoccerpro67 damn bro I was about to post that!!! hahaha

  • As a neutral, this was the most exciting moment of this world cup. I get goose bumps each time I see the goal and the Americans reaction, and I am an Aussie...!

  • I remember watching every world cup game this year :) when we scored that goal at like the 91 min I WENT CRAZY

  • Oh man I just can't stop watching these videos. So moving and honest and inspiring. It is the greatest goal in US history!

  • the media has apart in why many Americans don't care as much about soccer. But, we also have a large population, and we still have more fans in gross than a smaller country that is passionate about soccer...

  • Wow, that was cool to see! Great to see US fans taking time out of their days to watch some World Cup Football and get all passionate about it.

  • It always amazes me when foreigners think that the usa doesnt care about soccer...Its the MEDIA in the USA that doesnt like soccer...The people of america have always and will always have just as much passion for the game as any other country...take that to the bank

  • @Kushsmoka420 No its not the media, we really dont have as much passion as any other country, it is growing here though.

  • @Crizzle789 ..Trust me..Ive been playing club soccer since the age of six....Ive seen the support that soccer in this country has always had...The media hates soccer because they canr advertise every 5 mins...thats why you dont see too many soccer games on american TV ...not enough money to be made on advertising...its really that simple

  • @Kushsmoka420 I've been playing since I was about 5-6 as well. I have seen a lot more interest in the last 10 years though from the media. There's a reason why the term "soccer mom" came about. It's a perfect game for parents because there is a time limit. They know exactly when to pick the kids up and everyone gets to run as much as they want. It's a way better sport. As for advertising you are right which is why it's a perfect spectator sport from home.

  • @Kushsmoka420 I agree. You cant even find an MLS game unless Landon Donovan is in it and the media has him to use for advertising

  • i was at yellowstone national park in montana, huddled at the edge of a couch biting on a pillow. they scored, i got the pillow stuck in my braces, but who cares? THEY WON! i turned to the person nearest me, my 10 year old cousin, picked her up, and spun her around. i even nailed the wall in the proccess. but once again, who cares? THEY WON!

  • @larrythefathead Hahahaha! Similar reaction in my living room in North Carolina. I raised my arms in the air and shouted unintelligibly for awhile, and then ran around like a child and gave a huge bear hug to anyone in site. My fiancee still jokes that I hugged her so hard I almost cracked one of her ribs. Just a fantastic moment.

  • Comment removed

  • I was at work and got in trouble for watching them score, he walked up at the 89th minute, i then explained to him how important this was, while i was talking to him he was watching the screen and saw the goal live and i didn't.... UGHHHHHH

  • i just freaking love it when they get dissapointed and then all of a sudden they cheer

  • I wouldn't say it was the greatest goal in history ..

That would go to McBrides diving header in 02 against portugal

  • I love the life sucking "OHHH!" on the first shot, then the absolute eruption when Donovan put it in.

  • Even though they lost they all did amazing(:

  • @jafar0405 r u kidding me, I would like to see any country beat us in the majority of sports that r known internationally. Do you know how much time Larry Bird put into his shot, or tiger into his putting, or even Favre, above forty years old is still able to play and hav one of the best years of his career. if anyone wants to also please send me the name of a country who has such talent in multiple sports

  • @jafar0405 try putting the worlds best wieght lifter in the batters box against a 95 mph fastball and then compare that to the performance of 5-foot-9 170 pound Dustin Pedrioa who can probobly only bench his wieght, who is an MVP. The "strong" guy would strike out almost every time. So you tell me that baseball doesnt take any skill, just strength, you could not be more wrong. It would also help if you knew what you were talking about.

  • Isn't it a bit much to say it's the 'greatest goal in US soccer history'? Maybe the best in terms of timing (a clutch goal), but I've seen "harder" goals made by US players in past games...

  • Sure I'm disappointed that the team didn't advance as far as I was hoping. But at the same time, looking at all the videos, I truly believe that the future of american soccer is bright. All you have to do is look around you.

  • I love how people react its so exciting!

  • I wanted to be there.. I supported USA for all the World Cup. (from Italy) :)

  • OH THIS IS GREAT !!!!!!!! LOVE IT !! It's the only time you really see us adults jumping up and down with the enthusiasm of a child !!!!!!

  • Awesome. Was really nice to see Americans getting interested in football this year, and their team was amazing both on and off the park. They won a lot of hearts around the world. Hopefully this is only the start of something good for you guys. Go USA!

  • This is the reason I love USA and American People.

    Regards from Brazil

  • @rcpedroso We get it from you guys in Brazil joga Bonito! hahah USA BABY!

  • Football (as called in Brazil) or soccer (as you call it) are attractive for the rest of the world with its 90 minutes. His top athletes are among the best paid in the whole planet and will be the highest paid football if someday become a sport of the art in USA.

    BRAZIL HEXA !!!!!

  • if there was money in soccer in the US.... USA would be the number one team with the kind of athletes we produce... so many tallented students would be interested, we would have a roster like no other... the sad part is that the game is 45 minutes each quarter with very little room for commercials...and that's who pump in the money into the sport, and ultimately into the athletes.

  • @hbadalyan nope okay im insulting u but just making a point...but if u notice most US sports require strength, but no skill (american football, baseball, and wateva else u guys play...lol) but football(soccer) requires lots of skill and agility which most of ur athletes lack..lol. so even if u guys had been focusing on footb all, i dnt think u would cut it that good...but who knows??

  • @jafar0405 This may be the stupidest thing I've ever read.

  • @jafar0405 try watching those sports before you bash them.

  • @jafar0405 see i dont look at this and judge it like you do. You cant judge a whole nation as one, as if all of them are the same... the kind of money, care, attention, conditioning the US provides for it's athletes is just out of control. just take a look at the basketball players and football players.. they all are built amazing. but the most important thing is "money"... if it had the necessary "money" to put out for this sport in the US, we would dig out some crazy talent.

  • @jafar0405 Just because the US is good at a sport doesnt mean it is devoid of skill. Think Kevin Garnett at center back his height and jumping would make him invaluable for corners plus defending in football is very much like basketball defense in terms of footwork. Most Americans could very well be great footballers but they want to stay here, making big bucks. A high profile football league in the US could do alot for US soccer.

  • @hbadalyan i agree if football was the no 1 sport in the us, you would be a top team, with a populaton of 300 mil+ the pool of talent you would have to choose from would be incredible, unfortuntly alot of your better young sportsman are pushed toward other sports, and footballs seen as a girls sport

oh and footys played in 2 halfs of 45 minutes

  • nice shot at 9 seconds and i dont mean the goal lol

  • Why is everyone taking up for England? It's not like they have been kicking ass in the World Cup. The proof is on the field, they didnt do well at all. And Germany completely owned them. Rooney is overrated, the whole team is overrated. All they did was pout and argue with one another. It's sad.

  • hhhm needs some vuvuzela - thx youtube!

  • @dolphin558 ya but America is all about free choice so if kids choose to play soccer theyvcan and they most likely will now

  • Regarding my previous comment, these players have to try to play in Europe if they want to make any real money. I think the main reason football is not as big in the States is because we fought for our independence from England. We did not want to come hear and do things the English way. So we invented our own sports: American Football, Baseball, Basketball, among others. We are a nation of innovation and we have always done things our own way. So Soccer (football) decreased in popularity.

  • I disagree that most people in the U.S. do not like soccer. There is no nation on earth that has more organized soccer leagues. I played about 14 years from the age of 8 through college. The problem is that when I graduated college, there was no professional league to join and earn a living. This was before the MLS. Even with MLS, other professional leagues pay 20 to 50 times more (MLB, NFL, NBA etc.) so not many people want to play soccer professionally in the U.S.
