Man i used to live in that shit hole, word to the wise, if you a visitor they will take your chedder, but if you plan to stay, expect a frosty reception.
We've stayed every May bank holiday weekend for the last 5 years. Started out as a Geordie fishing trip for 6 of us men, 5 years ago. Now 16 of us this year, husbands, wives & children. Hope I catch something this year!
I was there on Saturday - first time, but managed to catch something! leave Isle of whithorn on the west exit, there's a clifftop footpath, you'll pass a farmyard with a yellow "beware of the bull" sign - go another 200 yards then down the cliffside - don't worry, plenty of grass to climb down. great little fishing mark there!
It reminded me of some great times with my Grandad Bill and Nanny Jen And my good friend Roy Cloy and many others. I'd like to visit at least once more before I die Ronnie Willis
Stayed in the steam packet Inn on Saturday.
Absolutely wonderful!
