ADJ writes that the Sunray, (and Starball etc.) is similar to a mirrorball effeckt!
But I think there are several important things worth mentioning here.
First of all, the ADJ-products only produces 34 beams, which is nothing compared with a traditional mirrorball flashed by two pinspots.
Secondly, the light from the unit itself is much to dominant. Is not really usefull compared with the chilled forum you can get from a traditional mirrorball.
And thirdly; the colors are not really colors, the way I see it. A red beam fx is not only red - but a strange mix of more than one color.
So ... if you are looking for a chilled and subdued effect that won´t dominate and disturb your eyes unnecessary, I won´t recoment the Sunray TRI LED.
I know lot´s of you will disagree, and this is only an information from my point of view and perhaps an introductory presentation for discussion ;-)
Hi Johnathan... was wondering what kind of light coverage would this item generate in a medium to large venue,do you think it would be better to use them as a pair ( master & slave ).. it just doesn't seem convincing enough to make want to buy one . . Also...was wondering where you get all your kit from . .do you just demo it for companies or you actually buy it .. for example the ~Pioneer SVM mixer is a top piece of kit that sells for over 3k.. cheers mate . .
hi, i will be doing a vid with this in the dark with some smoke soon. the kit is given to me and i use in the vids , although i have to give the svm back! : ( j
I think you deserve to keep every piece of kit that the company gives you to demo. You have probably made a lot of money for every company since you do a lot better job with the details and visual comparisons. And alot of people watch your vids as well.
yeah i like how the unit looks, though not a big fan of units where the whole fixture moves. if you put in on the floor, kids will want to play with it all night long. if it tips over it could go rolling all about, reminds me of a "bumble ball" lol
Well; I´m not that impressed unfortunally.
