What is up with all these Indie Rock bands lately? They all seem to be trying to rip off Arcade Fire's sound. The point of Indie or "Alternative" Rock is to come up with something uniquely you. Something that sets you apart from the rest. The Joy Formidable are good, but they sound like a clone of Arcade Fire to me. A lot of Indie Rock bands today seem to be clones of Arcade Fire to my ears.

@ososuperpowers Arcade Fire uses an overabundance of reverb, so does Joy Formidable. Arcade Fire does have a female who sings lead on some tracks. The sound is raucous and chaotic, just like Arcade Fire's sound, so yeah they're a shrunk down version of Arcade Fire.
