@dinofinatic59 Considering that we're the ones who have created the changes so far, with best intentions for ourselves, and fucked ourselves, we have no business trying to save the planet, because we may continue to fuck that up even worse.
@SeethingGreen neither is it to damage it, yet thats what we do, so the least we can do is restore/maintain the balance of nature we put off kilter by polluting and over-fishing etc. that we add to the mix. If it was the case that we werent so destructive then i would agree that nature wouldnt need managing, but thats not the case. As the dominant species on the planet, we have to act responsibly because its our duty and we have the intellect to do so.
@handom85 I agree with you there. We're causing a massive imbalance with our lifestyle. ("We," meaning "developed" peoples.) But I still move another way. I think the longer we continue to live like this, the greater the chance that our species will become nearly extinct. And that would be FANTASTIC for the planet. We're a cancer on this earth, and our species does not truly deserve to continue living. Sounds harsh, but don't you agree the planet would be better off without us?
@SeethingGreen It does sound harsh, but in many ways, yes. U're right, but I don't think the extinction of humanity is ideal (unless i'ts by truly natural means, and for that we'd have to go back to prehistoric times I think; I don't consider wiping ourselves out with nukes natural). My defense for our being here stems from our success as a species. In a biological sense I think we've earned the right to be here. Even so, we r a cancer, but not us per sé, but rather our actions; recklessness...
@SeethingGreen The ideal solution would be for there to be a major over-haul of how we interact with the planet. I'd take it as far as those willing to take care of earth get to live, those who aren't, gone. And I mean that starting with the individual all the way up to factories, corporations, and government. I guess a kind of "world green police" would be necessary for that, but hey, an idea is what things start with. Pple such as ourselves that want the best for this place deserve to be here.
@handom85 I'm in complete agreement. And not just those willing to be good to and love the earth, but fellow humans as well. That would be a nice world.
AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!....and the girl talking is pretty good looking too lol. I love how the manta that swam around her in the beginning (which was epic btw) had two fish symmetrically attached to it like earrings or accessories or something.
Great video and discovery, very interested. I like the way she talked about the Mantas focusing on conservation. Beautiful species, I´ve seen the smaller one of the Giant Mantas around the south coast of my country Dominican Republic.

Considering that humans are the ones that are destroying nature, I would assume that it is our job to fix what we have screwed up.
