Actually Norma Jean sounds like the bands that influence Utopia. Utopia was around awhile before not only Norma Jean but Luti Kris which was the original Norma Jean.
thats possibly the stupidest thing i have ever heard...your an abslute idiot if u think because a band is christian they automatically fail...obviously u dont know music...like august burns read...one of the best metal bands out right now is christian...and if u think they are bad just for that reason u obviously dont know music
and besides u need to shut up and listen for 2 seconds at what im saying u prejudiced fag
im not here to dis bands
yes maiden and exodus are talented musicians
all am saying is the fact that a band is christian doesnt make them bad...thats like hitler saying the jews are inferior cuz ther jewish...they are talented musicians that deserve the same respect as all other bands...there religion should hold no bearing on how talented they are
It was a joke for fucks sake, Get over it, thats my opinion, not yours.
Are you talking about New wave of american metal such as Lamb of god?
Or European such as Children of bodom?
Dont call Hardcore bands Metal, They are far from it. Im not saying they're bad im just saying its two different genres, I like a bit of hardcore myself, I just dont like all these christian fags wanting to make heavy music whilst 20 odd years ago they shunned it for being "evil"
well, i wasn't a christian 20 years ago because i'm 17, and i got into music when i was 13. Please don't generalize christians as hypocrites, many are not, and those that are ruin the whole thing for all of us. It gets annoying when being a christian automatically means you don't know what you are talking about, you are just a drone spitting out what the preacher tells you, or you are a closed-minded idiot.
There are so many differences between Christian groups, there was Christian metal fully supported by churches 30 years ago while other Chrisians still yell "evil" in 2009.
DH puts TFU to shame! I could teach ppl with no hands how to play TFU's guitar riffs. DH at least takes the time to write catchy riffs that stick in your head, not this annoying syncopated crap. DH has come a LONG way!
lol You truly are ignorant (how many times have I said those four words to idiots on Youtube?). Just BECAUSE music in one band isn't as complicated in another makes them no less of a band then the others. This DOES stick in peoples heads, for those who find it to their taste. EVERYTHING almost is an opinion in life, and that is your opinion. People find this catchy, that's cool, if you don't, that's cool too. Seriously, is it the Western culture that has made you this way? Yeah, seems like it.
was nirvana crap kuz curt wasn't great on guitar. No they were awsome, they used the skills they had to make realy good music, dragonforce on the other hand have lots of skill yet will never be held in higher reguard. it's not technicality that makes great music.
Demon Hunter is a lot more mature then this band. This to me is just noisecore, like norma jeans old stuff... but i could tell that their writing style was still kind the same from this to DH's ST.
Hell yes! I loved this band when I heard them in high school. Is it just me or do all the hardcore bands from the mid-late 90's (even into the early 2000s) just sound better than all the stuff out there now?
Wow. What a crappy quality video. The song is good though. Zaorulesmetal, this is totally different than Demon Hunter. DH is a lighter metalcore band focused on bringing people over from hard rock to metal. They may not be as heavy as these guys, or a lot of other metal, but theyre amazing in their genre.
TFU was around before Norma Jean, and Converge didn't inspire this stuff either. TFU practically invented noisecore, Converge played a faster type of grind.
HAHAHAHAHAHA this is like the disco of hardcore. norma jean and converge, especially converge inspired all the shit. 10 years from now you will all regret this uninspired schlock. Booooooo!
I don't know about better, but definitely different. This is more like noisecore then the metalcore/alt metal they play now. Both are good, but in completely different ways
yup, if you listen to the first demon hunter album it is a cross between this and their newest stuff. This is screaming, but ryan now likes to talk/shout with an affect of his voice.
I agree with you on the dragon force thing. I think they suck. Playing super fast riffs doesn't take talent, it just takes practice. As for the TFU argument, they never really created any riffs that stuck out in my head. No hooks. DH on the other hand is the complete opposite. That's the point i was trying to make. Songs like 'Fading Away" and "lead us home" provide both riffs and hooks that leave you singing them all day. im my humble opinion, TFU lacked that completely.
you are entitled to your opinion, and yeah demon hunter are better in many ways but TFU were hardcore, so their song writing was hardcore not metalcore based. You are right about the talent, they were limited, but my argument was it takes a whole lot more to write a good song, and i think TFU did that but for hardcore music.
Who cares about the genres..??? Just listen to the music... -.-
