It is not, however, too much to ask that Obama stays true to his word, when given, and appears on a particular show if he has made a promise to do so. Obama could not have been unaware of the nature of Fox at the time such a promise was made, and, as you say, he has appeared on other Fox programs recently, so that's clearly not the issue with him.
You're right that Obama should keep his word, but we all know that Wallace performing such an interview would go similar to his failed attempt to crucify Bill Clinton. That makes *me* cringe.

Haha... I just came across some clips on Huffington Post via Stumbleupon. Please don't misunderstand where I'm coming from. We pretty much agree except for that one point. FYI: I'm a Canadian expat living overseas. There's no Fox at all here, and no Fox News Channel that I knew of in Canada (I also haven't subscribed to TV for years)!

This is just another absurd attempt to undermine Sen. Obama's integrity. Two years?! Two years ago Barack Obama supposedly agreed to be on this show. I don't know if anyone has noticed, but there's a pretty intense nomination fight going on and I don't think either candidate has time to answer benign questions from Fox News's Chris Wallace. A pox on you, Mr. Wallace!

Obama also promised O'Reilly face to face to go on the Factor right after the primary...he didnt. Obama is afraid of real interviews...he's used to Olbermann softballs and cheerleading
