Amazing how older macs can still run some up to date Mac os. Like the iMac g3 I have came out in 98-99 and it can run Tiger. And the quicksilver came out in like 2001-02 and can run Leopard
@FeeLtheHertZ i've noticed that myself. my 533 MHz Digital Audio boots into Tiger faster than my Athlon II X4 boots into Windows 7 64-bit. It's pretty crazy how fast they boot especially considering how slow the storage was.
i used open firmware and Leopard Assistant to try to install os x 10.5.6 on my powermac g4 that was running at 800 mhz the LA tweaked some settings in open firmware now the clock speed says 933mhz it didnt wrk now every time u boot openfirmware comes up tells me could not boot cd:,\\:tbxi and the tell me to type mac-boot to start up or shut-down to turn the computer off when i type mac-boot it run a lot of code on a black page and then starts but this is very time consuming and annoying
I Have Just Bought a 933 Mhz Quicksilver, it only has 256 mb of ram at the moment so it obiously cant run leopard but im upgrading the ram soon, eventully hopefully going to max it out to 1.5 Gb.
