  • This video is so good. and the music is perfect!!!

  • @CoolLauraCK Much thanks. I looked at long time for a piece of music that fit. Appreciate the comment.

  • JUST. SUPERB. I do not even know how you managed it...

And I, as opposite to most(obviously not most of you here) Austen Fans, I find Emma the best novel<3 Loved Mr Knightley so much

  • So beautiful. They light up the screen. Superb couple and you've captured their essence so well. Superb video.

  • @SuperSoulSeeker I certainly agree. Emma was never one of my favorite Austen stories, but this film changed all that with the two of them.

  • @meganification17 I guess there trying ti say he'd always been in love with her since they were children but he never knew it until he saw another man flirting with her

  • A little poem in honor of our Dear Knightley and Darling Emma: Drawn within and enraptured, My heart @gsbohn you have captured, To watch our Emma so very dear, Finding love so true and near. With Knightley who loves her so, Could Emma ever really know, And yet to the end with her we sail, Kind wishes for both prevail. Knightley at last wins Emma hand, And we all in ovation stand, Cheering as we marvel and sigh, United entwinded yet side by side. Best and fondest regards, as always ... :0)x
  • Only Mr.Knightly could pull off a frown!

  • The dance scene is my favourite I think. Just because Knightley seems to try so hard not to reveal his true feelings towards Emma. It melts my heart.

  • You catch the most important moments of transformation of Emma, from a mindless shallow girl to a woman who understands her mistakes and acknowledges her needs and of Knightley, from a like parental observer to an ardent admirer and at last lover.why did you do that?I may say someone doesn't need anymore to look at the whole movie...and that's a shame.Y OU NAUGHTY!

  • What a wonderful video. Enjoyed it immensely. This is my favorite adaptation of Jane Austen's Emma and you captured the developing love between Emma and Knightley so perfectly. Thanks for making this video!!!

  • @jtrmagical Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate hearing from people. They keep me inspired.

  • @gsbohn Thank you for this exceptionally fine video.

  • @gnomely1 You are very kind. Thank you.

  • Nicely done!

  • Dearest Genie, tp paraphrase slightley one of Knightley's sayings ... "Well done, well done indeed..." clever you are to have created this gem and one of my particular fav's is at 2.28, where Knightley is 'saying' Ooh, and pulling such a cute jib...

I heartily enjoyed this and no doubt will again dear friend...

My very best regards and wishes from across the pond in Sunny Wales :0)x

  • Gosh I do gush here, but the inflections and changes about Knightley's dear face, do bewitch me somewhat. I am all a dither and will have to sit awhile and recover my composure.

For to be true, he is an outstanding gentleman and of course his darling Emma too, I would happily invite them to my little gatherings and get to know them all the better... *sighs in contentment* :0)X

  • i love the two of them together in this rendition it is really special :)

really really good job on this video!

  • @cos7ate9 Thank you for letting me know.

  • beautiful!

  • "Will you dance, dear Emma?" Wonderfully done!!!!

  • I love this movie, and I really like the background song that is does anyone know the name of this beautiful song and who is it?

Please if anyone knows what I say, I really like.

    A greeting from Spain.

  • @DulceAntonieta

Music: Title: Alchemy, Artist: Mythos, Album: The Reality of a Dreamer

  • @gsbohn Thank you very much for responding, you are a heaven for making a video so beautiful about this movie.

    Thanks!, Greetings

  • When does Knightley realize that he's in love with Emma? I always forget...

  • Ok, I have a question, which I hope will not offend any fans of the 2009 Emma. JLM as Mr. Knightley seemed comical/strange to me: the way he holds himself, moves about & talks. He reminds me of Pee Wee Herman or Peter MacNicol (as John Cage) in Ally McBeal. Was this intentional for Mr. Knightley's role (b/c none of the other Mr. Knightley's behave this way - in fact, Jeremy Northam's Mr. Knightley is very smooth) or is JLM always behaving this way? I don't remember how he was in Mansfield Park.

  • grate video! I love the faces of jonny lee miller as mr.Knightely. I wanted do a video like this but I think your is very nice, and is very difficult to search the scenes in four episodes! Well done really I like it! (from italy)

  • @kiagiudice

    Much thanks.

  • I saw the series for the first time last week. I like that the only one doing the correct meddling was the former nanny. I have a feeling she saw that one coming.

  • Oh the 'ooh' at 2.32... just makes my tummy flip over and the HUGEST of grins appear on my face... I am actually grinning whilst I type... silly me, but Oh what wonderful raptures fill my heart... *fanning and swooning again* :0)x

  • WONDERFUL... wonderful and wonderful again... I am a very happy lady... Watching this post all I do is SMILE and have a wonderful squishy feeling in my tummy... Ooh love really does funny things to your body... I must share this 'happiness' with my husband... Happy me indeed... *hee hee * :0)x

  • @wenglishsal

    Glad to be of help.

  • @gsbohn ... Hee hee.. I made him a lovely cuppa coffee, gave him some biccys, kissed the top of his head and retired to my bed, happy me indeed.... :0)x

  • this was such a wonderful Emma - these two were perfectly cast - thanks so much for this!

  • @eviltwit73 You are quite welcome.

  • I so love all the expressions Johnny Lee Miller has, the twinkle in his eyes light up his lovely face... And his eyebrowsseem to have a life of their own..hee hee... Even when he is angry he looks stunning... Oh and the dimples... *swoons*... Happy me indeed and now I am away to my bed to have very happy dreams ... Can you guess whith whom??? :0)x

  • Oh my gosh * swoons and fans frantically again*... this post is STUPENDOUS, and makes me smile so much I nearly split my face in half... Wonderful wonderful and again wonderful... or to MIS-quote Mr 'Gorgeous' George Knightley "..Well done @gsbohn... well done indeed... Ahh bliss and wonderful dreams tonight.. me thinks..:0)x

  • As I so often find to be the case with men, maturity has really added something to Jonny Lee Miller's appeal. When I first saw this, it was hard to believe at first that I was looking at the same man who played Edmund Bertram in the film version of "Mansfield Park" ten years previously. It's actually rather interesting to see him tackle two Austen heroes who are very different stages of life...Edmund the naive idealist vs. Knightley the older (and somewhat cynical) bachelor.

  • FOUND IT.. yay happy me indeed... In answer to your question@gsbohn... Yes I have now watched your video... WONDERFUL STUFF INDEED... Oh happy me... I may yet swoon right out of my chair... Oh the looks and the expressions flitting across Knightley's face and of course the proposal .. LOVELY...(to misquote Knightley ...Well done... well done indeed ... :0)x

  • @gsbohn you are a true master or mistress of fantastic works of art... This is FANTASTIC and has now been added to my favourites... Beautifully made, perfectly timed and the music is fabulous... Happy me indeed... :0)x

  • wow, great idea! this is awsome. I have enjoyed JLM's performance so much that I think he is taking over Captain Wentworth's place. Great idea to do a clip of his wonderful expression!

  • @roniwen

Thanks. I'm glad you like it. Yes, you are right - a tight race for the favors of JLM as Edmund or RPJ as Wentworth. Ah.... so many men, so little time. LOL

    Genie

  • I was wondering what the music is called or where it's from...love love love it!

  • Music:

    Title: Alchemy,

    Artist: Mythos,

Album: The Reality of a Dreamer

    Year: 2000

  • I love your video very much, nicely done!

I am almost obsessed with this version of Emma...thanks again.

  • Yes, I like this one most of all, myself. Love Austen, but was a big Emma fan until this version.

    Love this one.

  • What a wonderful video you've done - I loved Masterpiece Theatre's production and now, thanks to you, I can enjoy one of the main reasons - the characters played by Romola Garai and Johnny Lee Miller really work for me. Oh Mr. Knightley - and Oh Johnny Lee Miller! The guy quite frankly makes me swoon!

  • Thanks.

  • Thank you for this amazing video... when Emma premiered on PBS masterpiece classic I kicked my father off the t.v. so I could watch it I was so excited about it I love John Miller in both this and in Mansfield Park. Anyways thanks agian

  • Your most welcome. I'm a Johnny Lee Miller fan, too. Rent an old movie called HACKERS, where he stars with his first wife, Angelina Jolie.

    Cute movie and he's blond.

  • @sexygreenbean Same! Omg I LOVE LOVE LOVE Jonny Lee Miller!! This is an awesome video, by the way. LOVE IT!!! <3 I'm obsessed with Emma and Mansfield Park teehee.

  • what lovley music to this romantic couple. this was very well done. thank you for making it.

  • Most welcome. thanks for the kind words.

  • I love this! Thanks for putting all of the great scenes together!

  • Most welcome. I love doing this.

  • Nice music. Mr. Knightley is so dreamy!

  • Thank you.

  • My new romantic hero!!

  • AMAZING! I absolutely LOVE the Emma/Knightley matchup, and I watch it this least 5 times a day. Everytime he says "my dear Emma" or something similar, my heart skips a beat. They're so perfect for each other, and this is a superb video!! I'd rate it at least 10/5 stars!

  • @327ecb Much thanks

  • The only thing lacking is when they are sitting on the bench after they kiss and whilst explaining when they first fell in love, they touch each others faces... just that little bit before cutting to sea side scene would have made it perfect, loved it anyway though. Added it on my facebook page so I can watch it there a few more ( hundred ) times !

  • @MushroomQueen27 I totally agree. This new emma was so decieving!

  • I actually really like both the 1996 versions of Emma as well, but this one is my favourite. I think being 4 hours long, it was more true to the story, and even if the dialogue wasn't taken verbatim from the book, the spirit of the characters was true. And I adore JLM as Knightley - he brings out so many aspects of the character from the book which IMO Northam failed to do (for lack of time and a better script).

  • Just watched this version... Love how there are 2 Edmund Bertrams in it haha!!

I also prefer this version to the other two, the one with Kate Beckinsale and the other with Gweneth Paltrow... I just wish Knightly would have shown a little more emotion.. other than that I loved it! :D

  • I like this video so much! I hope i will see this video soon.

And i like the dresses of Emma!

  • Thanks

  • All the very best bits of Jonny Lee Miller as Mr Knightley, set to beautiful music. Fantastic job, very well done! Wasn't at all sure of this version until episode 3, then it hit me big time! Love it to bits!

  • I haven't thought much of the Emma script until I saw this one. I loved it.

  • I just watched this series, and I agree with you, I think it is my favorite Emma, too! Thanks so much for this!!

  • I thought it was extremely well done and Romola and Johnny Lee Miller were just superb bringing those characters to life.

  • Does this version follow the book very well??

  • Much better than the last couple have.

  • Another fab video

  • thanks bunches, gal.

  • Your video is a first impression to me from the new BBC Emma version. I haven't seen this yet but I believe this must be a really good bbc production! Thanks for sharing this video! :-)

  • I loved it best of all the Emma's. You will not be disappointed.

  • Sensational... I think is the right word for this :)

    (And Johnny Lee Miller helps...)

Where did you get the footage from?

  • I downloaded it from UK TV.

    Thanks.

  • Nice video, the music is very original. Best regards

  • Appreciate your kinds words.

  • Was this one done as a mini series for tv? What channel? You r video is so well done I am now intrigued and cannot wait to see it....

  • It was a 4 week, one hour each, mini on Sunday nights from the BBC. I am sure we will have it in the US within several months.

  • Yes on PBS Masterpiece Theater, in the New year. My daughter and I did find it to be able watch now. Loving it so far.

  • Mmm, I just like to look at him. lol
