  • Great story!

  • Oh goodness, look at that landscape behind him... Must be gorgeous where he lives...

  • Peter, that was brilliant, although I felt sorry for the lamb at the end of the story.

  • Dear Peter, I found this story wonderfully written, although it's so terribly sad. Among my friends and people that I know, there are a few vegans or animal-right inclined people, who in general do not approve of humans taking over animals, leaving animals exposed to the humans' arbitrary choices. This story reminds me of this.

I really hope for the lamb to be alright and Mary to come to her senses and take *good* care of it:)It's ironic that these dolls are actually sposed to teach 'guarding'

  • I always had bad thoughts about that Mary ,............. Thank you for confirmation.

  • I love you Peter!

  • Very nice.

  • Good morning from Athens! We are a group of 3 teachers, attending a master's degree program in "ICT in Education" and this afternoon we are making a presentation on your fascinating YouTube videos, your website and generally your incredible"Lust for Life"! This presentation will be part of our project on the topic of Intergenerational Communication.

    Thank you!

  • @viajando81 How wonderful, thank you do very much I would be interested to know which of my videos you present.

  • @geriatric1927 Hello! Since our presentation has to last 15 minutes, we plan on talking about the variety of subjects you deal with and the overwhelmingly positive responses you get from your audience and end the presentation with your video "Why do we do it?" which sums up your YouTube experience as well as the video of the recording of My Generation by The Zimmers! We know it's short notice, but if you could send us a short video response, we would really love to show it, too! Thanks again!

  • LOL! Amazing what a twist you put on the end. I suppose that means you were running out of words and needed quick closure.

  • I am sad now. I wanted the lamb to find a mother and finally get a good meal.

  • Hi Peter, Mrs. Geezerart here. Gene says hi. Now that's some good writing! Left me feeling sorry for the Lamb but you know that's probably just what would happen in real life! lol

  • @geezerart Well I hope that would not happen to the poor lamb but I have seen children trying to bottle feed lambs and getting fed up with them when they don't do what they want but and adult then takes over and gets the lamb to feed from the bottle and then the children really love doing it and treat it rather like a baby. so my ending was just an exaggeration of that frustration.

  • Good post Grand Dad... been subscribed to you for years, but haven't really seen some of your latest stuff... you're still the man we all love and enjoy. Keep up that bubbly personality of yours. Peace and love from South Africa. :)

  • Good morning Peter, from darkest Swindon (5:44am), I am so glad to be watching your videos again. As ever this one made me think. I often wider about writing stuff down, now I will. Thank you, you are an inspiration.

  • @geriatric1927 God bless you geriatric you are very apreciated :) your way of teaching is amazing

  • Your a great writer! That story was much darker than I expected lol

  • Very well done Peter! It inspired me too write a story! Yet I was unable to find the pen they I found the pen but there was no paper, then I found that and there was no ideas. Drat I said but then I found the Pizza from last night in the refrigerator. So I will write about that later, Maybe perhaps.

  • @k6tpl Well Jer what you have written would constitute a story in my mind. Pleased to see you back with a video which I am going to now.

  • I loved your story and I love writing. I agree with you, all writing is creative... imagine uncreative writing, what could it be? Take care Peter. Jay.

  • Loved the HD format. Thank you for your continually interesting videos. The background music made me miss your Jazz and Blues recommendations. I would love to hear more about some of your favorite Jazz artists.

  • @CalebWandering Thank you and yes I wish that I could do more of those on my other channel but youtube have such strict rules about using music.

  • That was lovely:) Thanks Grand Dad that made my day!

  • @Tessietots Thank you Terresa, I try to wear one of Martins ties whenever possible but forgot this time. Write to me when you feel like it.

  • I liked it, thanks for sharing! :)

  • What an interesting story you came up with Peter!

  • GREETINGS GRAND DAD FROM UAE ABU DHABI ..

  • @orwa Thank you, why a wonderful place to live.

  • Mary wasn't to nice to that critter.

  • @oneiblind30 No Huey, I guess that I have watched many children on the farm who love to bottle feed lambs but often when they are difficult ,as they often are, they get fed up with the battle but never of course as cruel as I imagined Mary was.

  • I like listening to Grandad read a story :) So lovely and soothing. Thanks Peter. Lots of love xx

  • What a cool story. o.o I never thought of making a story out of a kids nursery rhyme. =3 What a neat idea. I will try it too. =3 Thanks Peter, you are a good story teller.

  • In about 60 years time when I'm a similar age to Peter, I want a wing back chair just like that one. :) ... actually, I WANT ONE NOW!

  • Strange ending. But I like it.

  • @daligoddess2006 i would agree

  • Interestingwriting exercise, indeed - and you for sure made something very well constructed and consistent from that task!

Absoutely nice result with the filming of the video, too: Very good picture quality, decent sound, and I especially liked the sunlight changing due to the moving clouds on the sky :-)!

  • A feast for the heart. Thanks for posting this video, your writing is so impressive

  • Wonderful story ! a friend told me about your videos, and I subscribed right away. Your videos are super cool, they have substance, emotions

  • I'll try to write as you were told

  • I was so moved by your story....your writing skills are wonderful !!! Thank you for reading it, Peter, I love every one of your videos: made with the heart

  • I laughed at the part "she didn't know where to get babies from".

Then I was studious, concerned and touched at the care of the lamb. (Rays of light shining on you enhanced this).

Then I was horrified, confused and left hanging when she kicked it down the stairs!

  • Good story Peter...I took a creative writing class years ago and really enjoyed it

  • this was really awesome

  • I'm a 14 year old boy and I love your videos

  • @FIFA4Two Hello and thank you, it is very nice for me to know that there are a few young people like yourself who look at my videos. My subjects are not entertaining or of a nature that would usually be enjoyed by young people so thank you.

  • thank you

  • its good i like it

  • Lovely video!! Thanks for share :-)

    Greetings from Netherlands!

  • I really like the twist in the end, it gives life to the whole story. And I will try the exercise :)

  • I enjoyed it very much. I could listen to your voice all day. It's so soothing. :)
