How loud are those alarms? Are they loud enough you'll need earplugs? They don't sound as loud as 1 video I saw @ a UND dorm room with Simplex 9838 horns.
Unsure. The seller sent them so they must have gotten lost in the mail, or maybe stolen from my building. I had that happen with 2 BG-10s that I'd ordered a few years back. Someone swiped 'em right out from in front of my door.
awesome video though!

the reason that one was not going off during those fire alarm videos is beacause that one is most likely the sprinkler alarm!

luckily no one saw you activate the emergency lights.

@SpecializedChild462 It's a test feature, just like testing a smoke alarm.

@NLind I'd still think someone wouldn't like that.

I noticed that some Wheelock MT horn/strobes like in your apartment and various Wheelock strobes have VFR in the model. What does VFR mean?
MW2fatcats 6 months ago
@MW2fatcats That was Wheelock's designation for 15/75 strobes.

Some of the Gamewell pulls had breakbars but some didn't.

They're set to High Volume, so yes they're loud. (Wheelock rates the MT's High Volume Horn tone at 99dB)

How come the real fire video had the horns in continuous but the carpet installer fire alarm video had them on a code-3?
MNsportsnut 2 years ago
because when we had the real fire the panel had the original Zans400 motherboard. When the board was changed, they put it in Code 3.

Wheres the strobe on the horn outside? I dont see strobe on it. Btw, you said you noticed it was sounding, does that mean it works on and off?
Tabby266 2 years ago
It's not a strobe, it's a regular clear incandescent light bulb. As you see in the clip, it has a flasher circuit.
NLind 2 years ago
So basicaly somebody stuck a christmas light on it.

The hose connection is called an FDC.
