  • Damme! Damme!

  • Really!

  • I think you can get really good by practicing in a small dojo like that. I would have probably broken the lights and knocked things off the walls there.

  • Thanks for the vid! Classic dojo, much like Toyoda Shihan's Tenshinkan in Chicago.

  • Dang,

Very nice vid and practice session.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Yup...for all I do w Bokken, I must say i have always prefered Jo practice...

  • not really. i heard that a ladies "chests" can be an obstacle in many of her attacks.

  • I love the fluidity of the jo. The entire staff is usable as both an offensive and a defensive tool. I read somewhere that the jo was the product of a 10 year retreat by a kendo master who wanted to devise a method to defeat a master swordsman, and he came up with the jo to merge the yari and bokken into one weapon.

  • I wonder how differnt the technique would be to fighting with a quart staff, no counting the obvious differnece in length.

  • Thank you

  • the jo looks much at the bo what is other between them?

  • Nice training. Good vid :)

  • i train myself in the jo as well also can more pepole

put more jo staff vids up

  • That lady is really, really good, as is the chief instructor. Bravo!

  • I've praticed Jo staff a little in my weapon class. I find it a lot easier to use than Bo staff because it's lighter, faster and takes less place to swing.

We've just covered the basics but I like to pratice this weapon at home ^^
