Great recording of a Federal Signal SD-10. These sirens were made to project the sound downward and upwards at a sharp angle. That's why it was so painfully loud underneath it.
Great sounding siren. I've been too close without ear protection before. See my video of the Lakeville Thunderbolt. That beast shook my chest and my ears rang for an hour. Even the blower was very loud from where I was.

I think it needs new bearings because there's a skip in the way it sounds. And to comment below, theres a tbolt in Lakeville? I gotta see this!
