To the fool that is talking about the Hiibel case in Nevada. You are leaving out the most important part of the Supreme Courts ruling. You have to show ID if you are detained on "REASONABLE SUSPICION" of criminal activity to identify themselves to a police officer. Also all nine justices agreed that a person who is not behaving in a way that gives rise to an articulable suspicion of criminality may NOT BE REQUIRED to state his name or show identification.
Nevada has the Hiibel Supreme Court ruling that states anyone in Nevada MUST identify themselves by showing ID when asked by the police, or if they don't have any ID they must give their full name and date of birth.
Giving the full name is useless because almost everybody has one or more "name twins" out there somewhere as anyone on the "No Fly" lists has found out the hard way.

To the fool that is talking about the Hiibel case in Nevada. You are leaving out the most important part of the Supreme Courts ruling. You have to show ID if you are detained on "REASONABLE SUSPICION" of criminal activity to identify themselves to a police officer. Also all nine justices agreed that a person who is not behaving in a way that gives rise to an articulable suspicion of criminality may NOT BE REQUIRED to state his name or show identification.

Nevada has the Hiibel Supreme Court ruling that states anyone in Nevada MUST identify themselves by showing ID when asked by the police, or if they don't have any ID they must give their full name and date of birth.
Giving the full name is useless because almost everybody has one or more "name twins" out there somewhere as anyone on the "No Fly" lists has found out the hard way.

People need to activly resist and if that means using violence in defense of your freedoms then so be it....it is our right and duty to resist tyranny by protecting and defending ourselves, our loved ones, our freedoms, and anyone else we see being victimized or attacked by anyone (criminals, regular citizens police, members of military, elected officials) by any means and if that means we must kill a cop, tsa, official or any other govt employee then so be it.

i got pulled over once and didnt have my drivers liscence on me (never do) , didnt have insurance (oops) and they police officer told me that he would have been taking me to jail had i actually had my drivers liscense on me (my mind instantly filed that information) so yeah i dont carry that at all anymore

@urbanlex I think when they pick the officers they purposely pick the dumb ones because they can't think for themselves and they will always follow order...power that be knows exactly what they are doing. They are not out to serve and protect..they are out to serve tickets, harass and abuse. I think to truly restore what is believe to be the REAL police duties..we are need a higher standard people in force..not just another flat head dumb ass cop.

Failure to produce ID if asked is considered vagrancy just to let all of you know, so your not suprised. Secondly people like this guy and you "POLICE STATE" people and all the people in the hood I grew up with are the ones that make cops dicks (including myself in my younger years). I now live next to a Michigan State police officer. He is a normal person while not at work BBQ's with us etc... I dont know about you but if someone harrassed me at my job I would be a dick to.

If you fail to produce ID you have no merit to not be considered a vagrant. By the way homless people are vagrants (not that homless people dont need help) by defintion.
