  • love this track, brings me back to Bid Daddy Kanes "Aint no half steppin"

  • this is like giving away paul daniels magic tricks lol

fair play though, I can see how people could really benefit from a very well explained video with no jargon :-)

  • Very Cool Video!!

  • Thanks for the video man. I've taught myself some beat juggling, but mostly with looping. I always wondered how other DJs 'slowed down' a track. Now I think I can figure it out. Thanks man!

  • well it's about time someone made a video on how to do this type of beat juggling. Always wondered how people came up with stuff like that and to see it broken down helps a ton.

Haven't touched my 1200's in a couple years. I can cut and beat juggle but not in this manner. Thanks for the video or link to the video

  • everyone going on about learn your own routine and shit shut the fuck up, people who learn guitar dont make their own shit straight away, as a matter of fact nor does anyone learning an instrument

  • Dont bite this! instead run with it and do your own shit, nice explanation man!

  • its actually an honor im sure to Babu to have this guy breaking down his routine from almost 15 years ago...

  • biting is a crime but u can do a cover on this, improvise a little, shout out dj babu and credit him, and it's perfectly fine

  • biting is a CRIME idiots! why the holy fuck would you talk about copying it for your own!! go find soME other records ya dam self!! or better yet PRACTICE!!

  • No matter how this is explained, it does take some sort of skill to make this work. . . .

but knowing the song actually helps. . . .

I've been trying to make this routine my own for a HOT minute.

Only Babu can make that break into something RIDICULOUS!!!!

Good job on breaking this down though!!!

  • u fail buddy. haha. jk but not really. he says the name of the song in the beginning of the video.

  • always loved this break and bab's routine... way harder then it looks. respect

  • klap your hands now dasefx

  • I thought it was aint no half steppin by big daddy kane...aka Blaze

  • Yeh I didn't know the name of the track the 'Kane song was sampled from until I saw Babu do this routine.

  • @analher You're a dumb ass, learn your music "DJ"

  • @JimHrdz Man you really need sum dicc don't you? You waste yor whole entire life commenting on otha ppl stuff, just 2 have an argument with them...I guess it's true what they say, old men are scared 2 grow up...aka Blaze

  • whoa...I wonder how many years it takes before you can juggle a tune like that?

Turntablism deserves some serious respect from the musical academia, and every college music school should offer at least a couple semesters of turntable rehearsal for those who want to learn and earn credit in the process.

  • @ComradeSephiroth for live perfomances only! most of that shit sounds horrible applied to actually trying to make music for listen pleasure!! scratchin fresh and ahhh all day dont get you respect when thats all you can do on record!!

  • @ozoid455 have u heard 'return of the dj' jusding from that comment im thinking no

  • Babu's is the best/funkiest juggle ever, use OG breaks then we can see/hear your skills, respect for loving /respecting Babu's style sir.

  • I think you've kind of missed the point here, did you even read this article? This is a video demonstration to try and show of skills, this is about taking a well know routine apart for people learning to juggle to benefit from. What's the point in slating people for helping other people because they use serato and you have some superiority complex?

  • @djx2k People bitching about others using Serato/Virtual Vinyl/Torq fall into 2 categories generally. #1-Purists (they may or may not have as much skill as you do) #2- Assholes that don't even own any turntables.

For my part, I can't even transform without my bounce switch so there. Tight Video Man. Sincerly, That Dude- President of the Anti Ghetto Space Music Association.

  • @djx2k nice vid by the way do you know the name of the tune dj skully uses to scratch over when he plus1 a whooping in the battle finals ?? cant remember what year ????

  • Having Serato doesn't mean is easy. You actually need the skills.

  • This is how it should be done, my style... is identical to none!

  • thats nuts.... all i can say, deezam yo

  • this video is awesome as well as your others. :)... hope you make another explained juggle soon

  • This is excellent. Just trying to learn the tap downs which I'm finding hard!

How about Babu's 95 DMC Gangstarr 'mostly the voice' juggle or Melo D's 95 DMC Special Ed 'I got it made' juggle?

  • respect mate. it was the video tutorials on ur website that got me started jugglin about 3 years ago. still use all of them today. nice to see you puttin it out on you tube.

if you could break down any of the more advanced techniques that kentaro uses, that'd be great.

    nice one

  • you are great man. been to your website and love the tutorials but a few of them are unclear and i cant figure out what you are doing. any chance on putting up some more vids?

  • Thank You..BeatJuggling tricks finally revealed!! Great job! Maybe you could create your own juggle and break that down for us. You can start with something simple for beginners like me. Big up to you and thanks again for posting this vid.

  • Awesome man... Thanx alot.. For real... I didnt catch it all but yeah I know subcounsiousl;y it helped for sure.

  • @djx2k do it by ear ;) i learnt skratch bastids star wars scratch by ear :)

  • @djx2k You could always do a video on Scratch Bastid's Timberlake juggle /watch?v=CHkuvWjTOos or Keltech's Xzibit juggle /watch?v=uRk6Cn12FD8 .

Would you consider these easier juggles than Babu's Blind Alley juggle?

  • @djx2k What about DJ Prime Cuts and his Jack of Spades beat juggle from the DMCs??

  • well explained bro, this is in my top 3 all time juggles so added interest for me, cheers x2k
