  • Well y'know how Koei have obviously over the topped everyone so Its likely that Wei Yan wasnt THAT slow probably just a quiet gruff sorta guy who people are scared of and didnt trust.

  • why is wei yan like that

was he like that in real life?

  • @animeroks36 He talked normal in history, but apparently he had a disfigured shaped skull that people said made him look like a monster.

  • @SwordsmanLVL3 well thats just mean

  • if i have someone speaking "come, Liu Bei would use you". I would totally think that i would get raped by this liu bei.

  • b4 i found out wei yan's voice he was my fav characer

  • Wei Yan's "en....courage.....ment" wouldn't win anyone over to Shu.

  • i dont like dw 5 wei yan only i like dw 6 wei yan

  • ma chao is the best

  • @SuperCameron77 yeah bro,Ma Chao rules!!!

  • Holy hell...did Wei Yan speak a full sentence?!

  • He may be a barbarian, but his loyalty to Shu was unquestionable... the fact he hated Zhuge Liang doesn't make him a traitor as some other scum like Mi Fang, Fu Shiren or Meng Da

  • ...what does that have to do with my comment?

  • I thought you were mocking Wei Yan's intelligence with that comment o_o

I'm a Wei Yan fan xD

  • if your a wei yan fan , do you know why he speaks like a moron

  • I told you, Wei Yan is portrayed as a Barbarian, but he was really much more clever in the reality than the fiction. He made many achievements for the militia and knew when to defend his friend Huang Zhong when Han Xuan was about to execute him after throwing out his third bout against Guan Yu.

Really, the game made some MAJOR changes to the history. For example, Liu Bei was already dead before Wu Zhang Plains and you can still use him in that scenario...

  • hes brain capacity is highly underestimated in the game

and he didnt hate zhuge liang zhuge liang didnt trust him

  • @JNDainsleph37 No, the fact that he tried to take over authority after Zhuge Liang died among other things makes him a traitor. He didn't want to play second fiddle to whoever ZL put in charge so he rebelled.

  • Well, that depends... ZGL made a plot to kill Wei Yan by deliberately appointing Yang Yi as his "successor". Wei Yan fell for it and rebelled ONLY because Yang Yi was his superior then. ZGL was the mastermind behind the murder of Wei Yan.

And, if ZGL had done the Ziwu Valley plan from Wei Yan, then surely Shu would at least last longer.

  • @JNDainsleph37 if you watch some of the episodes of the series leading up to ZGL becomming ill, there was a time where he deliberately disobeyed orders and it caused a plan to fail and one of his subordinate generals wound up taking the fall because he wouldn't step up and take responsibility for the decision he made. He let the subordinate get the death penalty. ZGL noticed this. If you are disobeying direct orders and putting the army in jepardy it is a capitol offense.

  • @dealmaker007 if your commander cant keep his men under control hs a fool so its all good lol

  • @TAKEMARU666 well wei yan wound up being executed for rebelling (ZL predicted he would)

  • @JNDainsleph37 I think it wasn't that they hated eachother, but I think they never trusted eachother

  • @JNDainsleph37 I AGREE WITH YOU :'(

ZHUGE LIANG TREATED HIM LIKE HORSE SHIT! WHICH IS THE MAIN REASON WHY HE DID WHAT HE DID :'(

  • @JNDainsleph37 you do realize that wei yan died betraying Shu in the real world. Either way, wei yan is a fucking badass

  • lol

  • "Kiss...... My....... Ass....." LOL

  • best comment of the day

  • God Wei Yan is annoying.

  • Wei Yan was one of the greatest shu generals of all time. It was sad that Zhuge Liang did not trust him that much. Due to Zhuge Liang's pride in himself not trusting Wei yan many oppurtunities to seize Wei were passed...

  • actually zhuge liang did not trust him, as wei yan killed his previous lord, when liu bei laid siege to his city. his lord was weaker and wei yan killed him. zhuge liang was afraid that weiyan would betray liu bei, because shu was the weakest of the 3 kingdoms

  • Was Shu the weakest? Haha.. cos i have the summarised version and Shu seemed to have won plenty of battles.. and they had many great generals.

  • in terms of land and army size shu was the weakest. they had many great generals, and won plenty of battles, due to zhuge liang's strategies. but it is important to note that zhuge liang was actually smart, but his wisdom is greatly exaggerated in both the book and the games

  • Ahh now i'm really sad.. I Always idolise Zhuge Liang cos he's such a genius.. All those plans..

  • two words: no food.

even with great generals and the best strategist of his time, Shu campaigns and expeditions were cut short due to bad food supplies. zhugeliang gave Wei lots of hidings, but couldnt really deal major damage :(

  • i don't think food was the problem.if you know the history well, when zhuge liang started his 1rst northern campaign, huang hao rose.then,in the following years, many of shu's ministers were friends or allies with huang hao.and he gave liu shan(who was a fool in political and strategic matters)foolish counselso both zhuge liang and jiang wei, when they were about to do a massive blow to wei, didn't have enough resources

  • Wait a minute! How did you get this cut scene? I played as Wei Yan and didn't see no scene.

  • What is The Story Behind Wei Yan

  • he is just a bad ass mother fucker

  • I don't know much, but he was an officer who wasn't trusted much by Zhuge Liang. I think he was some type of strategist.

Here in the game he's depicted as a tribesman guy, but he really wasn't, and his allies don't understand him that well.

  • He was one of the top generals for Shu, basically led their northern campaigns against Wei. Zhuge Liang didn't trust him, but he never really did anything to cause it, he just had a very arrogant attitude and always wanted to do things his way instead. Zhuge Liang had Ma Dai kill him after his death because he believed he would rebel, which could be possible, but from what I've read, he went to attack Wei, and didn't betray Shu.

  • He started off under Han Xuan with Huang Zhong. During the battle, he killed Han Xuan because of his actions. This was when they faced Guan Yu. He, eventually along with Huang Zhong went to Liu Bei's forces. When Liu Bei died and Zhuge Liang took over. He did not trust him. In the battle of Wu Zhang Plains in 234, Wei Yan charged and was ambushed in a castle. Sima Yi took this into consideration and made him defect. Zhuge Liang knew this and set up ambushes. When he faced Ma Dai. He was killed.

  • wow wei yan my baby sister can talk better than that!!

  • who do you think who's better of the three shu brothers ?

  • Guan Yu! :D

  • yea guan yu

  • my dick

  • ROFL

  • Zhang Fei
