Do you think that egg timer would actually hold an SLR like the 7d? Anyways, thank you for posting that link I really enjoyed it.

NO! .... unfortunately it is not strong enough. I use it with my go pro hero and canon powershot cameras. If DSLR motion is what your looking for, check out
youtube user "milapse" he is a great guy with tons of information on his site

I grew up here from 1940 to 1947 and graduated from the
Sunshine Day School. I was the Coast Guard mascot during
the War, and even got to steer the picket boat to Egmont
Key (radio call nan-nan-xray-zebra). Life was a ball.
