It's even safer not to take the gun out of the truck. What does it matter if it's loaded. Cops carry loaded guns all day and night, so do CCW holders. Those shotguns in the cop cars are loaded too. I've never heared of a gun just going off, unless a dumbass is using it. Don't take everything a face value, consider the source. I've herd of people resting their hands on the end of a loaded shotgun, that's pretty dumb, but never went off.

On a note of firearms safety, I would've waited until I was at my spot before loading my shotgun instead of loading it at my vehicle and walking to my spot with a loaded firearm. Just a little safer...

Awesome Bird! I got my first tom a couple years ago and have the opportunity to hunt this year in April! Can't wait to go after a Wisconsin Gobbler! Do you guys ever hunt Wisconsin?

I kill birds just like some of the pros might...what really impresses me is the video that you manage to pull off. Very nice stuff, it really captures the "feel" of the hunt.

Thanks man ... glad you like the vid ... as for distance, there is no given distance ... it depends on how you gun patterns ... you should have at least 9 - 12 pellets in the skull and vertibrae of the turkeys head on a patterning targert ... that may come at 20 yards, or that may come at 40 ... you need to see how your gun shoots, and that will tell you. Good luck!!!
