I met Charlie as part of an article I wrote about a PBA tour stop in California in the '70s. He was a very nice guy and very accomodating for a guy like me who was just doing a freelance piece.
Mr. Bowling -- you seem to have a lot of connections in the bowling world. Any chance you could find the 1983 PBA National? I believe it was Earl's 41st and final win on the PBA tour. Thanks in advance.
mrbowling -- you are the man. This brings back so many great memories of me, my late father and my brother watching Earl and cheering on his every move. I believe he was the greatest ever. He accomplished more in less time than any other pro: 41 titles, 42 seconds and 6 B.O.Y. awards in 14 years. Amazing. Thanks again.
I loved that freaking ball!!!!!!!!
