  • Hell ya!

    I have a 72 myself.

    good for you!

  • just tackle those things man. my 68 had the same problems minus the fan and hoses, but i got it done in 3 days. i also had to redo some wiring.

  • @texasn90 Thanks man, I honestly have no idea what year anything on the truck is. It has 3 serial numbers: dash, door, and frame. None of them match. It also has a 289.

  • Very nice truck man. She looks good and you seem to care for her a good deal. The only thing i noticed was that it has a 1970 grill and steering wheel, so i think that may be what you have, IF it is still as it came from the factory. What motor do you have in her?

  • Jesus give this guy a break...He is tinkering and learning. Keep at it guy..I like your truck

  • @Paiste18 Thanks, man. We all gotta learn sometime! Currently this truck has a blown transmission but the engine is in driving condition.

  • @haloguru2552 do you have the FMX Cruisomatic 3 speed with overdrive automatic

  • u suck at this go get a ranger with an automatic i have both a 100 and 250 manual and can drive both just fine even with the parking brake on

  • I didn't even know how to drive a manual at the time. GTFO faggot.

  • the headers got hot, cus headers get hot. theres no special reason as to why they got hot. its where all the hot gases go to after they leave the cylinder. learn stuff about cars before you make a video and make yourself look like an idiot in front of the whole youtube universe. but i did like the paint job on the truck. ive never seen that scheme before

  • I know headers get hot, because exhaust gases from the engine go through it. Geeze, I wasn't saying "why are they hot?" I was wondering why they were smoking. headers shouldn't smoke, you cock blasting fuck face.

  • headers do smoke when they are burning the paint off of them, get oil on them or other kinds of fluids on them.

  • You obviously still are not reading what I'm saying. Headers SHOULDN'T smoke. As in, under the proper conditions headers will not smoke. So I was wondering why they were, because due to the smoke, the headers were not under proper condition. So I was trying to figure out what the problem was. Geeze, go kill yourself.

  • i just gave you several different reasons as to why the headers would smoke. any one of them could have been happening cus in the video you mentioned you filled the engine with oil and you could have spilled some of it on the headers which would cause them to smoke.

  • @haloguru2552, with a engine that hasnt ran in that long the headers are going to smoke. They are going to burn off any oil that is on them, any old paint, dirt, grime, and anything else that is on there. After whatever is on them burns off then they will stop smoking.

  • your an idiot u don't deserve that truck u don't know any thing about it u just looked like a idiot delete this video so u don't embarrasse yourself any more

  • she was a runner befor you fried the motor just kidding looks like its in pretty good shape the underneath is probubly gone from sitting in the weeds

  • She purrs now. Just a little TLC was all she needed. haha

Actually, the truck is not in very good condition at all. The frame is the only thing that's worth anything.

  • Did they have diesels in these back then? Sounds like a 7.3 to me!

  • Ford didn't produce diesel trucks for general sale until the electronic fuel injected diesels were made. Diesel engines rely on spontaneous combustion, unlike gasoline engines. A carbureted diesel engine would never work. A diesel engine always has to be fuel injected.

But...I would, however, trade that junker for a nice 7.3 F250 anyday of the week!

  • Bloody hand brake!!! That was funny as....love the old Effie's!!!

  • Iv got one of these trucks just sitting out in my yard.. I pretty much gave up on it because I can't find parts to restore it.. it only needs a little bit of work but everything needs to be stock original here in California to be street legal and pass smog. Thank Arnold.. only had a few more years to go before smog exemption and Arnold fucked us all over by getting rid of that...

  • lmc truck catalog has parts for almost every truck made. and they are all original parts or original replacement. look them up. the catalog is free and they sell some quality stuff

  • that truck is an awesome truck.

  • fire extinguisher....lmfao!

  • That was so funny!! I loved the commentary. Good luck with the truck, I think it's an awesome truck. If you were running it without a cap on that valve cover it probably sloshed oil out onto the headers and thats what was smoking.

  • id die for that truck, its some god damn nice

  • Yeah, you might not want to pop the clutch

  • The carbs leaking? That is a big property. Why is your Grand Marquis' hood up? IT"S ALIVE!

  • ROFL

    the brake was on?

    classic
