  • Hello, I have about 10 Astilbe plants with red tops, about 6" tall. They were planted This spring and I unfortunately allowed them to dry out. The red fluffy tops are now brown. Should I cut the dead flower shoots or leave them and try again next year?

  • You are #$%^& adorable! And so Informative. Thanks for spreading the word on these beauties. You are the best!

  • @housecharmer Well, my goodness, I don't know how adorable I am, but I'm happy my information is of value and use to you! :-)

  • This is fantastic; I've got a bare spot next to my hosta bush in front of my apartment, and this flower would be perfect! Thank you so much for this video, this will be a beautiful addition to my front-entry flower garden!

  • LOL! Musical gardening! I love it! XD

  • LOL.... Loved your video and it totally inspired my to buy more astilbe and give them a second chance. But the cello version of Mary Tyler Moore's theme song? Cracked me up and I had to rewind the video 3 times to stop laughing so I could hear you! :) Thanks sooo much.

  • Bill,

Thanks.. That was very informative. My partner and I would love to have some divisions of your plants LOL.

We are zone 6 in RI. But Seriously, Do you know of any good nurseries to get some of the taller varieties?

  • Love the videos, Bill. Precisely why I enjoy the Internet. Don't need no stinkin' TV! I'm a total amateur gardener, but I enjoy messing around out there. I was just dividing my astibles today, for the first time after about six years. They weren't flowering much. I got about six divisions out of each astible. I paired the divisions up with some ferns, hostas and irises in a shady spot. We'll see how they do. Thanks again for the videos.
