  • Hey, how are you liking it? I am thinking about getting one for about $675 used?

  • I can get a mac air or a dell inspiron but what should i go for i want something that is a good make

  • is you want the overview go to 3mins x

  • im gonna be honest.. theese things are kinda slow.

  • i love watching reviews for things and technology but i am with other people, WHERE DO U GET THE MONEY!!!

  • Sorry... IT IS LED BACKLIT.

  • @MrVinney96 No it's not LED backlit.

  • @Anavengertg yes it is, look at apple's website.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrVinney96 Oh you were talking about the display. I was talking about the keyboard.

  • @Anavengertg i was talking about the display, yes. a little misunderstanding. it can happen.

  • Are you guys going to get the new ipad 2?

  • can you give me one? pleaseeee

  • Damn you have a lot of money

  • at 3:11 I thought my screen cracked LOL!

  • @iTalkiStuff why....

  • @techyappleman im guessing when the guys hand moved across the screen on the left lol

  • I'm sorry, was he talking about the MacBook Air having a full QWERTY keyboard? Isn't that standard on every computer in the world? Just a thought.

  • @deadrival1 Most of the 11" notebooks out there don't have a full size keyboard. So it's quite fantastic that they managed to fit one on the air.

  • @MrYamakasi - That's not what I said. He said: "There is a full QWERTY keyboard." All computers, no matter how small, have full QWERTY keyboards, just not all of them have the extra F1 F2 F3 and so on buttons and things.

  • Big Macs are always overpriced

  • Why it's Apple and why it's not Orange?

  • nice video. ;)

  • Being a 12" powerbook g4 this is exactly what I wanted! Though I do wish it had a an i3 processor, backlit keyboard and LED display, but what you gonna do? Also I wish apple would have put the mini-display port on the magsafe side and kept two usb ports on the other....I hate trying to run my power cable and dvi cable to opposite sides, it looks terrible and is just all around awkward on my desk. But anyway I'm going to buy this with my tax return!

  • @droidfan2009

there is no cd/dvd drive but apple do sell an external one called superdrive. If you dont want to buy one, the macbook air has a feature called remote disc which allows u to wirelessly share another mac or pc's cd/dvd drive with the air. It's definitely a great little machine! :)

  • does the 11.6 feel small or not?

  • Bloody fanboy...

  • Do You Love Apple

  • Great vid, thumbs up. Subscribed.

    Keep up the good work.

  • @Alexbox12 No it's not. Ignorant.

  • How am I supposed to but my CD's on here?

  • @droidfan2009 just put it in another computer and do it wirelessly, duuuhhh!!!

  • im not interested with this...i dont even know y im watching this??

  • Could you please tell me which should i buy the air because i need good battery life and i want it to be light and air really looks nice or should i go with pro because itc better in performance and could you tell me how much is 13.3 inch pro better for hd movies and game how much thanx

  • wtf how can he afford to get an iphone 4 , macbook air , and another mac really

  • 0:00

  • wtf are you rich

  • this computer is more for people who want a secondary computer that they can take with them and use on the go. it's a very good computer for this purpose considering the size. if you have a desktop already that you use as a main, this would be a good idea, as for using this is a main computer...clearly not too smart.

  • There is nothing practical about this computer.

  • "Really excited... I'm shaking here" *Drops it* 'OMFG!!!!!!'

  • You unbox like an animal.

  • give me your old macbook,,haha

  • how funny if you opened it, dropped it and the screen fell off!

  • you from new jersey

  • @DSoul23 I believe it's the display itself is LCD, but it is LED backlit, which helps make the screen bright and the screen is "instant-on" from sleep.

  • @LoyaltyBella it doesnt have a cd drive

  • lucy

  • Where dose the cds go..?

  • Kool

  • I NEED HELP, is the 64gb SSD going to be enough for a person with a 160gb hard drive that is almost out of space. Im asking this because I heard Solid State Drives (SSD) store memory more efficiently.

  • @BSlick23 It will take up the same exact amount of space.

  • @BSlick23 no u need a 160 gb hard drive to store 160 gb of data SSDs are just faster at transferring data nothing else

  • does any on think the 6416gb ssd is enough space. i have a 160gb laptop but am almost out of space but i heard solid state drives are more efficient with their space.

  • does any on think the 16gb ssd is enough space. i have a 160gb laptop but am almost out of space but i heard solid state drives are more efficient with their space.

  • You can't afford Macbook Air? There is giveaway at macbook7 . com You can get one NOW

    like it

  • Thanks! :')

  • ipad+mac is a air

  • 64GB iPad or 64GB MacBook air... Hmmm.

  • @alibrovidz err air definitely...

  • @alibrovidz

Macbook Air is a computer. Macbook Air Wins

  • @alibrovidz

    It's only 64GB??

  • @EkkoGaming Yeah well that's the base model.

  • @alibrovidz MBA

  • @htcjunkie16 Yeah I'm thinking I might go for the air. Just wish you could upgrade it later on.

  • @alibrovidz BOTH!!! LOL

  • @2010DarkDevilUK ahah, I ended up going with the 32GB iPad, now saving up for this. ;)

  • @alibrovidz Macbook!!!!!

  • @alibrovidz macbook air as you can do more

  • @alibrovidz Macbook Air, mainly because you can do more on it and more pro stuff, like editing videos and making music, and, in my opinion, is better for the web than the iPad, mainly for flash and its faster than the iPad. Just my opinion, completely up to you, depending what you want to do.

  • You have awesome floors.

  • 1M 7H3 B3$7

  • Where do yout the reinstal drive in? And how did you get it so early?

  • @surferdavid1 It comes with a USB with OSX reinstall on it.

  • Oh God, you are hopeless, kid.

  • 24 Windows fans.

  • Great video but im wondering where the hell you get the money for it?

  • @2010DarkDevilUK some people actually have jobs!

  • @MyLifeChanger LOL, What do you work as?

  • @2010DarkDevilUK They aren't that expensive.. I just bought iPhone 4 ipad and one of these... and I have an imac 2010 21.5 inch

  • @2010DarkDevilUK sponsors..

  • ...and I mean the one that you have to unscrew the screws to remove it. not the one where you pop the tabs to remove it. lets hear it.

  • like I said, you, I and the industry have different definition of "removable". but just out of curriosity, what would you define the "removable" battery on a macbook?

  • @FatasMe Not removable, Apple doesn't want you to replace them. They don't sell the batteries and they are not able to be taken out without opening the computer up. They want you to go to the apple store.

  • If I couldn't remove the battery, apple would have sealed the whole macbook and not provide the screws which can be taken out to provide access to RAM sticks, HDD and the battery itself.

  • @FatasMe By the industry definition it is not removable, if you put a propeller on a car it does not mean it is a flying vehicle.

  • @Conner526 That is a horrible metaphor.

  • were did you got all of this money

  • It seems you don't care about anything. I've seen your older videos and you don't care about things.

  • Let's end this issue, and not spam on this video anymore. Whatever you think, you think, don't insult anyone, and let's not continue this fight, since it apparently is not going to go anywhere.

  • My FIRST comment on here was about the battery swapping in macbooks. the other guy said it can't be done. he failed. then you came along claiming that it's "too difficult to unscrew few screws" as if you would be doing it every day??? And is AIR not a Macbook from Apple???? Asus is NO different than Toshiba, Sony, Acer and others. They all make desktops and laptops. What were you trying to say? That Asus is the God of them all or what? Explain how it prevails over the others please.

  • @FatasMe If Asus, Toshiba, and Acer are all the same because they make the same thing, I guess you might as well say Pepsi, Coke, and Dr Pepper are the same as well. Asus has the lowest failure rating of any computer maker.

I didn't say it couldn't be done, it's not removable. That's something Apple even uses in its ads all the time.

I never said the Air is not a Mabook. Technically it is but the Air is classified as Ultraportable. You cant bring the Macbook Pro into the discussion.

  • @Conner526 Yes, Pepsi, Coke and Dr. Pepper are the same. Coke was the first in the business, then Pepsi and the others copied. So, essentially they are the same product with different name. Or as we say it, same shit, different package. :)

YOU didn't say it couldn't be done, but your "I'm reporting harassment because I'm a 13 year old kid who can't handle life" did. And he STILL claims that it cant be done. Apple and their ads...never trust the ads. ads are made to sell product, ie. they lie.

  • @FatasMe "To remove a MacBook's battery you have to remove the whole bottom size. A battery is "removable" only if the manufacturer has made a removal battery compartment "door"."

He said it could be done, but by DEFINITION of a removable battery it isn't removable.

No they are not the same thing, they have different ingredients, quality, and taste. You might as well say a trailer home is the same as a mansion since they are both houses.

  • @Conner526 but we are saying that battery IS removable. I can remove the battery from any macbook. your asus has the battery on the outside, and mine is on the inside. both can be removed to put in a new one.

and yes, they are both the same in essence. both protect you from natures worst. it's just what people can afford and what they can't.

  • @FatasMe Ok enjoy your trailer home. A removable battery is one of the OUTSIDE, that's the definition. Apple has said themselves "By making the battery non removable we can increase the size of it by 40%"

  • @Conner526 look, i KNOW, I UNDERSTAND what you are saying, but you don't understand me. My definition of removable is not the same as yours looks like. I can remove my battery just the same as you can remove yours. youtube it and see for yourself.

  • heres the foam.... 0:39

  • hey, so far, based on your comments guys, "newmacboy" and "Conner526", I can conclude that you're two douche bags that have no clue what you are talking about. go play with hot wheels and spare yourselves an embarrassment.

  • @FatasMe I am reporting you.

  • @newmacboy Report me for what? Sexual harassment? because I called you dumbass? lol...I'm sure youtube will take it into consideration.

  • Thanks for sharing. SOLD!

  • Can somebody tell me what's better a MacBook pro or a MacBook air???

  • @hockeyplaya1717 A MacBook pro is more powerful and has a DVD burner.

  • @eastmanweb And it has longer battery life, despite being more powerful.

  • @hockeyplaya1717

    different usages

think in terms of what you need a laptop for

  • thats really cool. i kind of want to sell my netbook and buy that. i just dont know if its worth it to spend that much. but i kind of want to buy a 15 inch i7 mbp, but i dont know if its worth it to spend that much either. damn macs to expensive. what do you all think?

  • Thanks & congrats...

  • im gonna buy that mac very soon

  • Just a plane MacBook laptop is better than a MacBook air because it has more gb and cd port

  • @77retro

I don't think you get the idea?

It is supposed to boot seriously fast, have nice battery and be super mobile. And belive it does all those things way better than any other laptop.

I own a 11 inch Air, and it is the best product from Apple ever, it is just so great!

  • @computersnask

dont forget the 320M graphic card which makes gaming seriously faster, and the transfer to complete flash storage ^_^ apple is amazing, and the newer version kicks my MBA predecessor's butt!

  • @JasonThanh

You are so right, i got the absolute smallest and it tested HON(Heroes Of Newerth) on it, wih high graphics and it played all most as smooth as my gamer desktop.

  • thats cool

  • Thanks for the review, im really eyeing this, I have the macbook from late 2007, great machine.

  • nice bro

  • The 13" is on it's way right now

  • I prefer iPad..;))

  • I love how jealous people get of people that have these cool products.

  • the worlds most expensive frisbee

  • @Volume1216 haha.

  • the screen on the macbook pro has a black frame around the screen and looks much better than the grey on the macbook air.

  • NIce Macbook Air lol

  • @N4TH298

ohh the dollar must be high.

I picked up mine for just 999$

  • you're not using this as your main computer right??

  • looks uncomfortabely slim like lol too slim xDD

  • @N4TH298 10000000 pounds!!!!!????

  • Why do you have Two Macs? dont u think it is waste of money?

  • how much does it weigh?

  • its the same price as the regular macbook

  • BIENVENIDO !! Español :DD

  • whyd you buy it

  • let me ask you something when you buy a mac and os x gets an update like from 10.5 to 10.6 do you need to pay? cause iv been reading some stuff people had to pay for upgrades? so the lion just came out so are you supposed to pay?

  • @sale666 10.5 to 10.6 was a operating system update, like windows 7. Lion doesn't come out until summer of 2011. for regular things like security updates and other minor updates are free

  • @tman15555

Aha!! now i get it how it works! Thanks =)

  • WTF its not a gamer mac there is no hole for disc's!?

  • @TheMatemeo3 you can attach an external dvd or use steam and iso´s you can share a dvd rom from other computer, use a usb etc, come on man.

  • Don't compared a high end Ultraportable to a low end netbook. MacBook Air = Better build quality, aluminum design, glass screen, SSD Cards, Core 2 Duo, Better Support, Full OS X, Mainstream graphics vs Netbook = Horrible build quality, plastic design, plastic screen, HDD, Atom, bad support, stripped down version of Windows 7, budget low-end graphics. Instead, compare the Air to an actual ultraportable such as Dell Adamo.

  • @newmacboy But a high end ultraportable machine like the 11.6" Macbook Air is only good for surfing the web on the go, which is what a cheap netbook is also good for but for a lot less.

How about calling it a high end ultraportable netbook?

  • Oh COMMON people! To those who are complaining about the Price, and the Specs, compare the Air to other ultraportables, not netbooks. Netbooks are cheap, have horrible build quality, crappy keyboard, atom processors, disgusting graphics, and are not thin, that is why they are so much cheaper.

  • @newmacboy Ok the asus UL series has dedicated, dual core processors, aluminum lids, an integrated graphics card that switches with a dedicated one for power saving, chiclet keyboard AN OPTICAL DRIVE, and much more. They are very thin and coat about half the price of a Macbook air.

  • @Conner526 Asus UL does NOT have dedicated graphics. Its integrated is slower than the Graphics in the MacBook Air. The MacBook Air has much faster dual Cores. MacBook Air has a much stronger UNIBODY aluminum design. MacBook Air also have chic-let keyboard, and the ASUS UL are not much, much, much thicker than the MacBook Air. ASUS claims that it has 12 hours battery life, but it is more likely 7-8 hours, however Apple tests differently, and harder, so what they claim is very likely what you get

  • @Conner526 The ASUS UL uses cheaper hard drives, while MacBook Airs use SSDs which are more than 2 times faster than the ones used on ASUS. The MacBook Air has a much better display. With the ASUS you will have to deal with Billions of PC Viruses, headaches for support, and very bad hardware support, while with the MacBook Air, you only have to deal with very few mac viruses, waaaaay better support for hardware, and software.

  • @Conner526 The ASUS UL may be half as cheap as teh Air, but when you match the specifications, it will come up to 1199. That is only 100 cheaper than the Air, BUT you still don't get an SSD, better graphics, BETTER SUPPORT, better build quality, better display. I think the choice is clear. THE Air is THE Best Ultraportable in the market right now.

  • @newmacboy I think you forget that ASUS has the lowest failure rate of any laptop manufacturer. Let me list things that you can't refute: 11 Hour battery, SSD is crap on the Air it's as fast as any SSD but if you wanna store music or movies or GAMES to use that great graphics card then forget about it. HDMI port, optical drive, REMOVABLE BATTERY, and a bunch of other ports that apple took out.

  • @Conner526 Battery is removable on macbooks.

  • @FatasMe Hardly, with the Asus laptop you just flip a switch and pop it out. Mac laptops? You have to open the entire laptop up and with this laptop there are THREE separate batteries to replace.

  • @Conner526 no, you just unscrew few screws. how is that difficult? not like you will be doing it every day. oh wait, on a regular laptop, they made it easy swappable because you will be buying a lot more batteries than you would on a mac. your asus probably has 3hr battery life, hence why you would need the ability to switch them easy. that's why.

  • @FatasMe You are so vast with your knowledge, if it has a battery life of 11 hours it obviously has only 3 right? By your logic the mac has a battery life of 50 minutes!

  • @Conner526 you make no sense. it's impossible for me to construct a decent reply to you. but I will try...:)

I never said mac has battery life of 11 hours. I was never able to get 11 hours anyway. The most was 9 hours. And I think Apple claims that 2010 macbook pros have 10 hr bat life. With my regular two laptops (Acer Extensa and Toshiba Satellite) I was nowhere NEAR the 9hr battery life. most I got was 3-4 with wireless off and whatnot.

  • @FatasMe Ok, first of all we are talking about the Macbook AIR. Acer & Toshiba are two entirely different companies than Asus.

Could you please stop insulting me intelligence when you make no sense whatsoever?

  • @Conner526 We may have our disagreements in our Mac vs PC battle, but we sure agree on one thing. Fatasme should be reported for his bad behaviour and name calling. He does not know what he is talking about, yet he blames us for being stupid. I am going to report Fatasme, and block him.

  • @newmacboy Yeah, and trust me I love the look of the Macbook but I'm a value kind of shopper. Well, sorry for arguing!

  • @FatasMe No need to be mean.

  • @FatasMe No its not. This is because the batteries on the MacBook last much longer than ones on regular notebooks, and works for up to 5 years. The Airs can also stay in stand by mode fro a month, something that no other notebooks can do, then instantly come on.

  • search youtube for macbook battery removal and eat your own words. and next time do research before you post on something.

  • @FatasMe To remove a MacBook's battery you have to remove the whole bottom size. A battery is "removable" only if the manufacturer has made a removal battery compartment "door". The newer MacBooks don't have this, so their batteries are technically irremovable. And Apple does not sell batteries for the newer Batteries. Stop being so rude, and try doing your own research before accusing someone of something.

  • @newmacboy what "newer" macbooks? I think I got the newest model in 2010. Bought it two months ago. Is there something newer than this? apart from the AIR? I don't think so. face it, Apple doesn't really want you to remove the battery, but you CAN do it. I don't know where you get this " you can't"? And Apple might not sell the batteries, but others do.

  • @Conner526 Asus has the lowest failure rate??? Where'd you get this data? Who published it? What was their purpose? Because as far as I know, multiple friends of mine, have ASUS laptops and they have to replace them, less than two years each time. You also have to keep in mind, that Apple uses harder battery testing than the rest of the industry, so with a MacBook Air, you are very likely to get 7 Hours of Battery Life, however with the ASUS you will probably get around 9 hours.
