I remember playing this game at my friend's house for the first time in, say, -97 or something like that, and i was blown away.

Even before the 3-D era, the freedom i was allowed to experience was an entirely new concept and it was awesome!! :) And i didn't have to avoid civilian casualties, like in other games. I was actually rewarded for them. :D Who can forget the Gouranga? ^^

Also, I always noticed.. "Nice work, kid, but the shit's hit the BLEEP-in fan" *muffled* - "FREEZE, HOTSHOT!"

Yeah, it now has amazing graphics, but the gameplay is mediocre, repetitive, at best. Also all the GTA games now play out the same, only the characters are different. Personally, the last one I truly enjoyed was Vice City. I liked that even better than San Andreas.
