1:I don't have a ds or ds lite, and I'm pissed off that I can't play pearl, diamond, platinum, heart gold, soul silver, black, or white!!
2:It's got the DSi shop or whatever it's called, so I don't have to bike 4 miles over to gamestop just to find out that they're sold out of my delicious pokemon games.
3:In pokemon black and white, you can face to face battle people cause of the camera. You can't even battle people onlin

I bought it because the hot pink DSi is cute as fuck.
Plus, it was my second hand held device since the Gameboy color - I did my research before buying it and compared the DS, DSlite and Dsi - the DSi came out to be a better purchase.
Those who upgrade just for the release dates are idiots.

The batteries of the DSi run out really fast compared to DS lite. The only thing I like better on the DSi is the feel of the buttons (they make a nice clicking sound lol) and the fact that the d-pad is better on the DSi (it's not as loose as the DS Lite d-pad)
i just got my very first portable gaming device ever, the nintendo dsi. i'm more of a casual gamer and like the online shop and cameras. gba games are somewhat outdated anyway, and i like its slim, smooth design.
well the dsi its ok but the only thing is that it has camera/internet and dosent have the slot to put GBA games and theres this cool thing that you can download its called flip notes i think and other then that i think its pritty much the same
Well, I got one, and the little voice thing is pretty darn fun, when me and my family went on vacation we used it the whole week and had quite a bit fun with it. The camera's pretty cool, I like the little editing options, that's pretty fun too... the internet is...alright:/ not the best but you can still use it to like look things up or update your Facebook and stuff like that... All in all, I'm glad I got it.:)

I got it because i never got the original DSs and all my friends had them.... but I really like it, especially the DSiware games, they have actually some pretty good games that go as low as 2 bucks and as high as 8 bucks. yeah. all that bonus crap though (camera, music player) kind of sucks though.

DONT mistake DSiPaint as a site where you cnan just paint, both are community sites SPECIFICALYL built for the DSi. They enhanced my online play experience with it DRAMATICALLY!
dsi is the best handheld ever. psps r not better than it. can they take PICTURES? umm no! and ppl that say psp has more hardcore games is wrong. dsi has cod 4 cod 5 and its own version of mw2 and it has grand theft auto so psp can suck my balls
the freaking CAN take pictures AND videos with the pspcam. And why the fuck do you need to take pics? Its internet still cant do shit, its games suck, and it cant cant cant cant cant play videos. Plus, its games are so short and easy. I like the PSP, but the best handheld is the Ipod Touch, its not for games, its for Games, Videos, Music, internet, and what every you can make a app of.
It's game library is superior to the PSP's. And it can play videos, and it's internet browser, I can tell you, is amazing. I say this due to DSI specific sites.

the only reason i would get one is because the buttons have better feedback, the screens are larger and brighter, and the battery life is a good bit longer. Everything else like the camera, audio, and web browser are overrated. I have a digital camera to take pics, an iPod for music, and a PC for internet. I get the DSi because its a GAMING platform, not everything else...

dont bother with it. the camera sucks, my phone takes better pictures. the web browsing sucks, again my phone can do better. you have no GBC or GBA game slot which is ridiculous because im always finding myself playing all the pokemon games over and over again on long trips. its a pretty useless hunk of cash; i sold mine within two weeks of buying.
Well Dsi is much better because your can go on internet take pictures and send them to other people with dsi you can update your dsi and then you will be able to upload pictures from dsi onto your facebook but wat sucks is that internet does not have much memory so you cant see wat you would see in the real site on a computer

Also, it they break less. And the buttons are different (less breakable especially the L and R buttons.). Also the screen is bigger, and it is lighter and smaller but wider. Also the DSi shop is cool. And the camera and the voice thing and the internet is good too. But the internet is slow.
my DS Lite broke and Nintendo offered to give me a new one. i considered buying a DSI instead but the extras aside it is just a lite again. ill go with the offer.
if they want me to buy a ''DS'' again then atleast make it as powerful as a Gamecube.
There is no point. I bought the DSi with high (and the other high) expectations for WPA Wi-Fi support.
Come to find out, only the DSi browser is formatted to accept WPA encryptions. The games themselves still don't recognize anything but WEP, aka "please come right in, kick your shoes off, make yourself at home, and lubelessly rape my network in the ass" security.
Granted - I bought it more for gaming than anything else. People looking for a mobile browser may have reaped better benefits.
The browser increases the online experiences. Sites like DSiPaint (Misleading title i know, but uit's actually a community site build SPECIFICALLY for the DSi), DSiHub, and DSicade.
I have a DSi I say get it! It's way better than the DS Lite especially when you can Update your DSi =D Don't buy the DS Lite unless you care about GBA Games =/

The batteries of the DSi run out really fast compared to DS lite. The only thing I like better on the DSi is the feel of the buttons (they make a nice clicking sound lol) and the fact that the d-pad is better on the DSi (it's not as loose as the DS Lite d-pad)

i just got my very first portable gaming device ever, the nintendo dsi. i'm more of a casual gamer and like the online shop and cameras. gba games are somewhat outdated anyway, and i like its slim, smooth design.

Well, I got one, and the little voice thing is pretty darn fun, when me and my family went on vacation we used it the whole week and had quite a bit fun with it. The camera's pretty cool, I like the little editing options, that's pretty fun too... the internet is...alright:/ not the best but you can still use it to like look things up or update your Facebook and stuff like that... All in all, I'm glad I got it.:)

Both of these 2 sites are community sites, like myspace, except filled with Nintendo fans.
DSIcade is a DS site dedicated to playing games on.
The rest are usually free sites you will ind along the way. There are A LOT of free DSi sites.

i see your point of view,but the cameras are fun to screw around with,the sound is fun to mess with music and your own voice,the DSi Shop has some great games to download,has a fun drawing animation tool as well.the free Opera Browser is not the fastest,but its not slow either.all in all,the DSi is awesome.(im a girl by the way,im not a hardcore gamer but im just saying )so don't get it unless you want the GBA games.

I got it because i never got the original DSs and all my friends had them.... but I really like it, especially the DSiware games, they have actually some pretty good games that go as low as 2 bucks and as high as 8 bucks. yeah. all that bonus crap though (camera, music player) kind of sucks though.

the freaking CAN take pictures AND videos with the pspcam. And why the fuck do you need to take pics? Its internet still cant do shit, its games suck, and it cant cant cant cant cant play videos. Plus, its games are so short and easy. I like the PSP, but the best handheld is the Ipod Touch, its not for games, its for Games, Videos, Music, internet, and what every you can make a app of.

hahah very funny. you consider it hard core simply if it has guns in it? the graphics and gameplay of those games suck and the quality is nowhere near that of the polygons the psp can pump out. cod4, 5, and mw2 are childs play, and seem like they've been programmed in 3 days. the quality is so crap because you are trying to take a kid's system and play "adult" games on it. i dont know if u ever played a ds version then a psp version of 1 game but theres a difference.

the only reason i would get one is because the buttons have better feedback, the screens are larger and brighter, and the battery life is a good bit longer. Everything else like the camera, audio, and web browser are overrated. I have a digital camera to take pics, an iPod for music, and a PC for internet. I get the DSi because its a GAMING platform, not everything else...

dont bother with it. the camera sucks, my phone takes better pictures. the web browsing sucks, again my phone can do better. you have no GBC or GBA game slot which is ridiculous because im always finding myself playing all the pokemon games over and over again on long trips. its a pretty useless hunk of cash; i sold mine within two weeks of buying.

Well Dsi is much better because your can go on internet take pictures and send them to other people with dsi you can update your dsi and then you will be able to upload pictures from dsi onto your facebook but wat sucks is that internet does not have much memory so you cant see wat you would see in the real site on a computer

Also, it they break less. And the buttons are different (less breakable especially the L and R buttons.). Also the screen is bigger, and it is lighter and smaller but wider. Also the DSi shop is cool. And the camera and the voice thing and the internet is good too. But the internet is slow.

There is no point. I bought the DSi with high (and the other high) expectations for WPA Wi-Fi support.
Come to find out, only the DSi browser is formatted to accept WPA encryptions. The games themselves still don't recognize anything but WEP, aka "please come right in, kick your shoes off, make yourself at home, and lubelessly rape my network in the ass" security.
Granted - I bought it more for gaming than anything else. People looking for a mobile browser may have reaped better benefits.
