  • good video. thanks.

  • I don't know where you all are from but when I worked in the surface mines of E. KY Komatsu dozers were only good for about 6000 hours and then they were junk we had 6 475's and replaced them with new D11's and the D 11's out lasted them 2 to 1..I used to get tickled at the Jap engineers coming out at quit time and measuring everthing on the D11's trying to figure out why they held up in the hard blue sand stone and the Kamatsu's fell apart...Transmissions and engines out in all 6 within 6K hour

  • Oxfords opening another pit hear in western ky, dont know the name yet, but we are putting up their powder bins late this week or early next week. supposed to have a big BE shovel from Wyoming coming in

  • Hey 1066D you must run your Kajunksu in dirt all the time, because if you ran it in any rock you

would be talking out your ass

  • Anyone?

  • Which pit was this at?

  • belazu stiam k e mare da vola sa fie asea mare nu am mai vazut

  • This must been for the dedication of the 994f in early 2006 that I attended on a Friday. Friday was for showing it off to the industry and

Saturday was for the Oxford employees.

  • When is the family day?

  • The music makes this video much funnier, than it is!

  • also watch a great video by writing: strong caterpillar D6

  • What an amazing career! How do these guys end up getting a job like this?

  • Look up "International Union of Operating Engineers" and then find your state and "Local." (Mine in Iowa is Local 234 of the IUOE) Anyway, contact them and tell them you're interested in an apprenticeship program. If you have any operating experience whatsoever, tractor, hoe, anything, that will be to your benefit. Go make friends with someone who owns a backhoe and practice doing a small ditch, then go show someone at the union you are wanting to work and you're RELIABLE and HARDWORKING!

  • Reliable and hardworking are no problem... but I have 0 experiance working this kind of equipment. Right now I am a Stationary Engineer, and I like my job, but man to be behind the wheel of a machine like that, weild that much power with that type of percision...it must really be something else...

  • vavi catherpila!!!!!!

  • Hi guyes! What can you say about CHETRA 590 h.p dozer simmilar to CAT D11? If you never seen you can find it in my channel.

  • nah mate your chetra wouldnt compare with v D11. Ur chetra is in D10 & D375 class.

  • any body driven a D575A?

  • I work for oxford mining and I enjoy every day..well almost everyday of my job. It would be a shame for the new pres to try to hurt coal because in reality the damage that is done is repaired due to reclamation and probably oh 10 yrs of recoop time. Btw whoever takes time to post a comment on this has already used coal to turn the computer on and youtube is using coal to post your msgs!

  • I AGREE ! Once Reclaimed this land will be more beautiful rolling hills in Southern Ohio. Oxford Mining is a very responsible company, and WE NEED COAL da

  • Daron?

  • It kills me to hear some of the left wing ridiculous comments so against coal mining. Where in the heck do you think we get our electricity from anyway, the wind? LOL Global warming is hogwash...the polar icecap on Mars is heating up at the same rate as ours and last time I checked they hadn't invented the car yet there. hahaha Take our coal away and the country will be living in the dark ages again.

  • ..better hope obamma teh coon dont shut down teh coal industry

  • All you care about is your self—mind not big enough to see the rest of the world. Global warming will shut down your little pollution industry along with every other human settlement and city. Trees ... who needs 'em, right?

  • wow u are stupid..The US is one of teh cleanest due to EPA stupid..also one of teh worst places to start a bisness in because of teh cost..so eat my short dick

  • 'one of the cleanest' is an excuse to avoid the facts. Bush gutted the EPA to stop it from doing its job. Coal mining destroys forests, mountains, rivers and streams. Processing pollutes land, water and air. When the product is burned it dumps carbon monoxide into the air along with millions of tones of soot and particles. All you can say is 'wow, EPA'.

Sorry to know you have a short dick. Hope that hasn't gotten around to all the women in town....

  • Facts slapping u in teh face..again

  • Until last week, Carol M. Browner, President-elect Barack Obama's pick as global warming czar, was listed as one of 14 leaders of a socialist group's Commission for a Sustainable World Society, which calls for "global governance" and says rich countries must shrink their economies to address climate change.

U better watch out..You just might be a sub for coal yaself

  • The music is FINE !

  • Looks like phunn!! Don't they look like toys in the beginning? WOW, but those babies are HUGE!! Is this what you do for a living??

  • LOVE this video. The music is great, too! I am 19 and looking around for a tech school to learn to operate and work on these machines. Mind you, I'll probably be starting out on things like D3G's and 924H's. XD

  • That was an awesome video. If you need ANY parts for any Cat equipment call me, I have over 70,000 Items available. Thanks for the video

  • Good to see D11 pushing in 1st not 2nd, with a ful blade, 994 picking up full buckets and '89's loaded up properly!!

  • if u think thats big.. cat is coming out with the D12 even bigger... its currently being tested...

  • cat said that to me about 15 year's ago so i hope they do been waiting a long time plus it would be funny to see what komatsu say and do. someone else said they are thinking of makeing a big dozer and it would be 3 or 4 time's bigger then the komatsu d757 i would have to have a look where i read that.

  • wow i i im shocked that is a big ass dozer!!

  • How cold can a Porto Let seat get? Cold enough to pull a band aid off yer butt? Yep. How many of you guys sat in a cold ass cab when you didn't have to? How many of you stuffed hand warmers in your boots and got blisters on your feet? How many of you tuffed out the day and just stuffed a quart of brandy to quell the thawing skin? How about some tales of THE WORST WINTER? The Cold Cab Files? Who's got the COLDEST Cab?

The best way to warm up without the pain?

  • When the blue smoke clears and I leave the last of my coffee injected mud puddle steaming in the portolet.....Chain up my 400 to any 245 and I'll teach it a lesson. That was a burly post? Am I right guessing that us people posting don't own the factories that these machines are built at? Yet we aren't the cave men that can store a Crayon pack in their neck folds? Input and respnse to todays equipment improvements. Yikes! Operators that actually speak! Crazy talk!

    AREA 51.

  • Hey Guys. My last post sounded really sarcastic and that's not how I meant it to sound. From 3 years old till now, all I wanted to do was run the BIG IRON. I'm still a heavy equipment operator and will be till I take the big dirt nap. But the eyes are different. They still widen at sunup waiting for the stack to clear out the chilly cool blue smoke. They gawk at the immense piece of Iron waiting to earn a day's pay. But they also look at the rising cost of living.

  • Knock on wood! CAT is still the Grandaddy of heavy equipment and will always carry on the tradition. But times have changed and profit margins and raises are thin. I can't wave my CAT hat at Shaw's and buy groceries with it. In the same token I can't take that "Atta boy" and buy gas for my wife's car either. But cutting edge technology with fuel sipping Komatsu equipment helps to keep me employed. And employed pays the bills.

  • If that were true, than why do most mines in the USA opt for Cat equipment, and dealers? It's not all in the efficiency of fuel. Cat parts are cheaper because they are US based, and do not have to ship all the parts from over seas, and have way superior service over smaller companies like Komatsu.

  • Not saying that they do not build a great product. They do pretty good. The mine I work at (as a Cat mechanic) operates over 130 793 series haul trucks. That's just the haul trucks, not the CAT support equipment that goes with it.

    They have awesome support.

That is what makes or breaks the deal. They used to run Komatsu, but could not because they were down more than running. Because they were bad? No.

  • CAT machines go down a lot too. They all do. It is one nasty environment, with many operators that push them to the extremes. If it can break, it will break. But, we are cheaper to fix, and mush faster. Every day a Haul truck is down in the mine I work at is $180,000 dollars of lost profit.

  • you are all putting up good things about komatsu. but if it were not for cat excavators there would be no komatsu hoes so don't trash the grandfather of hoes.

  • Well. There are three things in life that you can bank on. Carhart gear, Red Wings, and Komatsu Heavy Equipment. I don't ever want anyone to think that I'd comment on the flavor without tasting it myself. I still believe that Cat made the best excavator on Earth....The 235 C. But Komatsu took over with the 400LC-5. And Cat fumbled with the E series. The Komatsu loaders smoke anything Cat has nowadays. But this is what I've driven and not just text book specs so go figure.

  • If you get the chance, check out on the National Geographic channel, the show on Ultimate Factories. They show the making of the worlds largest hauler, the Cat 793B. It airs Feb. 2 Sat at 8pm and also, Thur. Feb.7th. Its a must see for any heavy equipment lover.

  • Cool! Thanks for the heads up on the show.

  • Ok here goes. I'd put a Komatsu up against any Cat ever made. Why? Well, I wear Carhart winter gear cause it keeps me warm and lasts through at least 4 winters. My tools are almost all Snap-On cause cheap tools cost more in the long run. Anyone who has ever turned a wrench can smell cheap tools. And after many years of running heavy equipment I can say for sure that Komatsu is the leader.

  • You just made Mr. Holt role in his grave! I also hope you wear RedWing work boots.

  • What? Are you serious? Komatsu makes a good product, but it still wont beat a Cat. The guys I work for just got one of their wheel loaders and it wont dig or push like a cat, dont get me started on how it does on a slope. How about a dozer? I can push circles around that 155 w/ a D8. not to mention 155 gets stuck on flat ground, you dont even dare try crossing a stream. Finish work? Try a D6n, any slope, any time. That komatsu wont turn or carry a load up slope. Cheaper, not better.

  • cat is better i run a 16o horse d7e the other person had a d65b supposed too had 220 horses but the older 7e would out push it it had standered shift. i would put up a 14a d8 up against one it size in the japs line up.

  • Komatsu??WTF? Didnt they build tonka toys? Or was it air strips to launch mitsubishi zero's on pearl harbor? Not sure. How in the World can anyone compare some jap scrap to a cat? PLease!

  • shut the hell up

  • ahh the joys of bulk push

  • The music is FINE FINE FINE!

  • you the wold thank@!

  • music ruined it for me, but good footage!

  • i prefer cat loaders over komatsu any day

  • There some mean cats their.

  • great video, i used to do that, and will again

  • AW. i used to have a dump truck when i was a child...

  • Awesome video! Thank you! And the music selection was also wonderful!
