The Wii version isnt that bad. Sure they kinda screwed the cutscenes and voice acting (just the English), but it had the same gameplay and music, and the graphics were great. But original games are better than remaker I suppose. Super Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, and Kirby Super Star are great examples.

Somebody please fill me in on Klonoa's story, i remember playing like over ten years ago and i remember i got to the final boss but the whole story is pretty much a blank. I remember your ring friend and Grandpa dying and that's pretty much it...

Klonoa finds the rind and Huepow, they set off on an adventure, they meet Ghadius, the story's bad guy who wants to fill the world with nightmares. His sidekick Joka shows up a few times during the story, causing trouble. He kills Grandpa and then tries to kill you. Klonoa beats Joka, goes on to Huepow's origins, the Moon Kingdom, to save Phantomile, the world Klonoa lives in. -see continuation-

@XemnasRocks -continuation- They meet Ghadius, who awakens Nahatomb, a nightmare creature who he wants to use to destroy the world. Klonoa gathers all of the people he met, they beat Nahatomb and the world is saved. and in the ending, it appears Klonoa doesn't belong in Phantomile, but was called to that world to save the people. He gets sent back to wherever he belongs by the goddess (pink lady in the vid). Klonoa is a dream traveler and goes to Dream Worlds to help the people who need him.

After finally getting over this ending (took a few months) I now think that this is the best game ending ever.

Why, you ask?

1. It proves that platformers aren't just for kids.

2. It give Klonoa a more serious problem than Mario, Sonic, Megaman etc. have ever had to face. BRILLIANT character development on Klonoa's part -- a character that doesn't know who he is but grins and bears it throughout all his adventures.

The Wii version is not quite as good as this but it comes pretty close...

I just wish the Wii version would have kept Hewpoe's smile at the end -- it shows that Hewpoe has hope that he'll see Klonoa again. And if Phantomile really is a dream world, then Klonoa will probably just go visit him the next time he falls asleep. The Wii version makes it looks like it's impossible for Klonoa to go back.

When i was age either 7 or 8 and the first time i watched this terrible ending of klonoa and huepow losing each other and in the same time how i listened their voice and fellings i cried alot and couldnt for weeks stop thinking about the ending and now im 18 i STILL cant get the pain out of my head! There are a few things I don't like about the remake

1. I don't like how they exchanged dialogue boxes at the bottom of the screen for dialogue boxes out of their mouths it felt better

2. I don't like how they've given the player the choice too exchange japanese dialogue and fiction dialogue that was one of their trademarks

3. I don't like how they've given the option too choose between outfits, it seems like they just can't decide on on look.

i think what they were go with the wii remake trying to a better game than the ps1 by adding more health and better cintmatics failed because the ps1 cintmatics were amazing for the time but wii remake will hopefully be just a fun as fun a the ps1 if not better.
