  • I'm sorry but she definitely shouldn't be teaching, I draw way better than this and I still shouldn't be teaching

  • @jrduncanart Well that's your opinion. She draws very very well. And she's trying to teach, and she's doing a great job. So atleast she's trying. And since you say you can draw better, maybe you should consider sharing your knowledge like she is.

  • i find it easier to draw the outline first ..

and only then i can measure the size of the eyes ,nose and lips

    i donno, that's 4 me .. but THX

  • lol

  • Why cant my art teacher teach me this?

  • in my experience it seems more effective to roughly lay out the overall composition of the drawing before focusing on rendering any particular details like the eyes nose and mouth. this outline and the shape of the head on the page should be worked out before the features are so meticulously rendered. the method shown here works but usually ends up looking more like a "police sketch" and less like an awesome portrait. but kudos to anyone trying to teach art, nice video.

  • looks like napoleon :D nice job

  • just love this video! also search for "First love letter to valentine". It is a short animated movie with uzumaki as a hero on valentine's day 2011. You are gonna love it!

  • @rosikaable Naruto Uzumaki? From that show 'Naruto'?

  • I always start with the nose...it's easier for me...then I end up having problems with the outline of the face...haha!

  • I used to always start with the outlines put more recently i've started with the features and I find I get the drawing done quicker:)

  • that is the most basic of drawings. the face is staring right at you which is the easiest portrait to do.

  • your voice is so soothing, it really sends shivers down my spine.

  • cool, you draw with a skull near you...

  • Outlines first... always

  • those eyes are realy big

  • hey everyone!

i just uploaded a video of an oil painting that took me 5 months to finish.

i would like to get some feedback on it. so if everyone that reads this could check it out and let me know what you think it would help me out! the video is called -- monumental oil painting- from start to finish. thanks everyone!

  • thats one ugly drawing...I'm better then this...that would be such bs if this girl has a job in drawing/design when people who are ignored in the real world have better skills.

  • Jesus Christ, how can one channel produce so much shit?

  • those eyes are disproportional.

  • drawing face is so easy. Just look at ia face, draw, and practice. copy good artists. Boom.

  • WTF IT IS JUST A LINE

  • yes , i like drawing too , check out my videos.

  • Macaulay Culkin

  • If you start a face by drawing the features, you're likely to wind up out of proportion. if you do a google search, Nathan Fowkes has several great tutorials for portraits on his blog.

  • @TArthurSmith totally agree with you.

  • my mom has some good tutorials. Google "whores of LA".

  • lol she really does sound like abbie of ncis LMAO!!!

    ps-nice vid and ncis rules!!

  • Comment removed

  • the eyes are so big and look like sad, anyways good draw

  • i havent seen your face. but i think you look like that girl called Abby for NCIS

  • I LOVE NCIS :} Fav char is abbby to

  • People should really read the comments and Information about the clip first before commenting themselves. I am sure she doesnt need another 50 thousand people mentioning the word render or outline. Soon as she sees that she is most likely going to just by pass your comment and skip to the next one... Like i said, Read first before blurting out your oppinions

  • yea other than the fact she's probably never read any of the comments, ever, and never will.

  • I like to draw the frame of the head before i start on the eyes and even before i render.

  • I recommend getting the basic form of the face before rendering.

  • same for me....need to start with somewhat of an out line...but will also try this technique

  • Nice but in my opinion and practise I can truly draw easier if I draw the outlines first, not afterwards...

  • @DysisChimaira opposite for me

can't seem to draw the positions of the eyes well if i draw the outline first D:

  • pretty gal.

  • yes, i want to say the same.

  • nice technique i never thought of using an image of a skull to create the impressions of the face

  • if i learn how to do this i'll be like so happy cuz this is one of my major goals
