Even though the B-2 is old, I don't think it's outdated. It's greatest strength is that most detailed info about it is classified, so no one really knows what its capable of. I think we should keep upgrading the f-22 because it can be used to protect the B-2 from any next gen SAM sites.

Like most military aircraft, I'm sure the B-2 has been subject to continual improvement, so most of what is known is probably old info anyway. I was joking, I think China is a bigger threat.

Stealth is becoming obsolete. You will never be able to overcome "atmospheric disturbance" which is traceable and is being worked on. Thats a big lump to lock on to, it will fall nicely. Save your dollars and use them for health care.

You'll see both a copies of German technology.

Horten Ho 229 was the 1st stealth jet.

Built in 1944 and painted with carbon to help reduce radar signature.

USA's B49 wasnt even built to be stealth.

It was just a big wing design.

Plus USA didnt even have radar in 1947.

Think back to December 7, 1941 Hawaiian Islands we had radar on top a mountain but know one understood what the blip on the screen was. As far as the rest what you said is correct all are designs and technology is based on German design. The USA employed many Germans after the war to give us the rocket technology we use today.

Actually the radar was US. SCR-270 model. The US Army had their first working prototype in December 1936. The reason no one reacted was it was Sunday and the officer in charge thought it was a hoax.

it also fly's with the protection of the awac which is a converted commercial jet that has the capability of jamming radar. As to the heat signature the intake and exhaust are covered but the air craft is still at risk from s.a.m.s. like stingers, which is why it fly's at high altitudes. many of the features are also found on the F117 stealth fighter.

i have read all your comments and its obvious that none of you are engineers. first there is no paint, except for the tail # and air force markings. it is black because the material that it is made from (composites) are black. it is a classified material that absorbs radar. but that's only part of it, the unique shape of the aircraft, i.e. no 90 degree angles also deflects radar and only sends back a signature the size of a large bird which the radar station automaticly disregardS.

It's possible i guess, but the chances of you just randomly looking up and seeing any fighter flying at 10,000 feet? Extremely slim. Even if you could see something that appears that small, you'd have to have known its exact location already. You can't just look up into the air and see something like that. Besides, a lot of planes are camouflaged, like the F-22.
