Removing the income tax would be a BIG MISTAKE.

It would polirize the county into rich and poor, even stronger than it now is. Income tax evens the income gaps. You would be on a highway to become a banana republic, rich elite and poor slaves. Even if the poor would get more money than today, the rich would get even more, and poverty is RELATIVE to the total wealth. More money doesn't make your richer, if you get smaller share from the total amount of money.

We should be talking about ELIMINTATING taxes, not lowering them. The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 does NOT override Constitutional Law. It VIOLATES it. The 16th amendment should be null because it gives congress the right to impose a tax BY LAW, BUT if that LAW breaks the 13th AMENDMENT, it would be considered null because the CONSTITUTION takes precedence over legislative LAW. So, according to the 13th amendment, income taxes would be illegal because they ARE a form of involuntary servitude.
