The song does fit them now that you mention it.

Both The Little Mermaid and Aladdin were directed by Ron Clements and John Musker so, that's why Ariel/Eric and Aladdin/Jasmine are somewhat similar to each other. ^^

Oh, and both Clements and Musker are directing the new disney movie, The Frog and the Princess! ^^
