  • ES&S and Diebold both make voting machines that have known defects and can be hacked. from an estimated error rate of 16-28% with a breakdown rate of 6% reported by the Venezuela's National Elections Council that used the machines of ES&S. the owner of Diebold is a well known big republican contributor. ES&S is a privately-held company owned by unknown investors and headed by Aldo Tesi. ES&S is a reorganized company made from Business Records Corp and American Information Systems, Inc

  • TheRoachFactor " this much talking means al franken doesn't have enough votes "

I seem to remember you're last great prediction was that McCain picking Palin as his VP was a master stroke that would propel him to the White House.

You are know clairvoyant are you?

  • Roach's words are a blessing to the Franken candidacy. He is a south pointing compass with a needle labeled north. He thinks Sarah Palin will make an excellent candidate for the the 2012 presidential election. As a Democrat, I agree with him, but for very different reasons. He is the YT high priest of deadender crash and burn Republican politics. And he isn't even an American, he's a Spaniard....LOL

  • Al, you're not good enough; your not smart enough , and by golly, we don't like you !

  • Ironic your advice to yourself is a twist on a fictional New Age self-help guru. I think the results of trying to make yourself self-actualize that one into existence will be as fail as your attempt at humor. You and Roach keep chanting that one to yourselves and we will see where it gets ya. YA BET CHA.

  • Well, you liked him enough to elect him, and I'm glad. I read "Lies, and the lying liars that tell them"....GREAT book. Franken will be a welcome member of the US Senate.

  • The strategy for the Republicans here is the same as it was in Bush\Gore Florida. Drag the process out and create confusion for longer and longer while presenting Gore as a sore loser and responsible for the delay. After a while, many people (low information voters mainly) just want it to get it over with.

The shame on Franken's part is that he did not win by a landslide - give his opponent's obvious vulnerabilities.

  • that is boring as hell!

dude said it... do it like Georgia did...

    Do IT AGAIN..

  • "missing ballots" ... hummm ... and I bet they are all for Franken. Of course the Dems will claim that the Repubs hid them and the Repubs will claim that the Dems made them up. Why don't they just challenge each other to a duel and do us all a favor.

  • It sounds to me that Minnesota has become Florida with the sunshine!

  • I am happy that the State Gov't of Minnesota

is crueling through this process. It is an indication, that the Republicans will illegally get volunteers they know, will do anything to win. Truth is greater then Lies and Stealing. Every Vote Counts

  • They should just make it simple and do a run off like they did in Georgia because if memory serves correctly there was an Independent as well that got a lot of votes too.

  • Why? This is the most simple way. Count every legitimate vote!

  • DEFINE - "LEGITIMATE"

  • every vote that was done correctly. Its not difficult.

  • Thats how it should be.... every time!

    it's a DO OVER.......

    Good point Dude714

  • Yep, we had to do that to pick a mayor, because we don't want to deal with people being recount bitches. You got it down to two people, do a run off, only takes a week or two, and is nice and clean.

  • Just count the votes. It's very simple. Count the votes so that you can see who won. If ballots are missing find them and count them. It's very simple.

  • Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • It is quite amazing that the republicans are whining that Franken wants all votes to be counted. They preach that they are the keepers of democracy, yet their beliefs entail that democracy gets in their way.

  • "They preach that they are the keepers of democracy, yet their beliefs entail that democracy gets in their way."

    Exactly.

  • so, what is being done about stopping the colam challenges, or will there be another recount if this persists?

  • From what I can understand from around 6:00, these contested ballots get remanded to a nonpartisan canvas judge .. (i think) .. The election rules in the State of Minnesota are highly detailed taking into consideration (almost) every contingency.

Contrast this state procedure to Florida State election procedure in which such contests go into formal litigation .. and we all know how that turned out :(

  • Franken and Minnesota have a lot to be proud of. this is what this whole country needs, people who will make dam sure every vote is counted and contested fairly!! Good for you all who are part of this process...now this is exactly what America is and always should be about!

  • get them neo-commies OUT!

  • pretty bloody amazing to say the least! in the uk where we have paper ballots,if there is a recount,it's usely done in the same day and not carried over for weeks!Yes i know that the UK has a lower population then the USA! BUT THERE ARE more people in the uk then this state!why the fuck is it taking so bloody long?

  • It's the same way in Canada (paper ballot.) None of this nonsense.

  • tzey even stepped onto the breaks.

Instead of collecting rejected ones by precinct and send them, one guy showed up and said the law says, send in the one you find and go on in that way, they said yes it is the law.

matter of layout to me, but first imbeciles prevail always, so i always know the difference of awake and dream.

  • Is anyone else out there ANGRY?? Who knows how many other close elections have missing ballots? Isn't it amazing that the majority of the congress that voted for the bailout (who were up for re-election) were re-elected? Come on people, where's the indignation? Enough is enough.

  • lansingstlady: you're not alone in your anger.

The U.S. & its military charges around the globe w/ the stated mission of bringing democracy to the tyrannized peoples of other countries who never asked our opinion; yet, we can't even get our own election processes standardized & commenced in a good way, & we allow corrupt politicians under the direction of criminal corporations to pass policies which compromises our civil liberties & illegally deliver public funds into private control.

  • it is the ppl, that know better.

they are told the right way, but they are too

"Dominant" to follow the exact order , they have better ways to do.

  • If I could, I would vote for Franken.

  • I would've voted for Barkley.

  • This is madness.

  • Its the democratic process. All the counting has thus far been exemplary.

Its being heavily monitored and if there were any sort of abuse occurring (besides Coleman's reaching ballot contests), everyone from the local journalists to the major parties to the League of Women Voter (those ladies watching the people watching the watchers) would be trumpeting the injustice.

Stick around for the court battles to see who cares about counting votes, and who wants to win by any means necessary.

  • Go Mr Franken! One more nail in the neo-scum coffin if you win!!!
