I LOVE my FF800, i cant imagine i want another one, maybe buy a second one to record whole bands. The drivers are really stable, the mixer works perfectly and it sounds great! if you are a serious user, i would buy a FF800!
I am looking at the Fireface vs The Rosetta 800, from what I am seeing the Fireface can give the Rosetta a run for it's money! Anyone have any views on this? I think the Firefire has a lot of great features!

Anyway, that's right. The Fireface 800 only has 4 preamps of it's own. BUT, they are nice ones. This thing costs $1700+ for a reason. The converters are great, the preamps are great, the drivers are great... it's expandable. There are few things about this unit that aren't great.
What not great is that there isn't a video like this in english. :_(
I do it with my desktop speakers just because I don't care about them, but if you have decent monitors, you should ALWAYS turn them off first. That goes with just about any equipment you have them connected to.

sucks when you detach a firewire box while your speakers are connected., loud sound blows them out.
