That's honestly the best way of doing things. I had to learn that the hard way when I wasn't making any money at all. Not only that, I was not that passionate about what I was doing at first. I don't really give too much detail into how I do what I do (in terms of marketing services), but I let people know what the results look like :-) I think we all learn to do that when we develop our own ideas vs selling others' ideas.

I think that silence can definitely kill an idea or a decision, but crowded noise can do the same job. That's a good question to think about. I think that it's really hard to determine whether noise or silence can break a deal. However, if you observe the person's or people's reaction to your idea carefully, you'll have more insight into what will work at the time. This is something google analytics and technology will never understand.
