Araiza was a lighter lyric and so is Florez of course so hard to compare but Merritt had a great top while he lasted and a great high D flat in his 1987 Italian recital. HE sang the daughter aria twice as an encore and again since they loved it.

La edad??? Acaso con una buena técnica no se puede conservar una voz perfecta incluso con 60 años y mas???

si, porsupuesto, pero no todos pasan los 60 o mas años con una voz asi.

Not bad,but IMHO there's a lot better than him in this particular piece:Araiza,Dalmau Gonzalez,Pavarotti,Fisichella,Sabbatini...
