@TheYearoldmustard If both don't know the songs then its fair :P The only competition i ever joined i had no idea what the songs were, but you can always anticipate the beats based on the recuring beat. Most good dancers can still kill a song they don't know (not saying i'm good, i was actually mostly lucky :P), but ofcourse it still helps to know the song :)

I liked seing the different flavors of dance represented in this clip. The USA cats had a certain club and booty bounce style. Maybe some house, But I don't think they were too familiar with groove of the music. Meanwhile The Les Twins had that Dubstep type style. The style where you find and discover beats and rhythms in the song. And dubstep, drumbass are common in france.If USA would've heard a familiar beat the would have been more entertaining.

@crunkay What the hell is Dubstep style? That is not even a real style of dance, you normally use popping for dubstep music anyways. Aren't dancers suppose to listen to the music for beats anyways? Both sides were just dancing hip hop and Team USA decided to play to the crowd more, missing part of music they needed to hit unlike the Twins.

@RookieOfTheEast The Dubstep style that I'm referring to is the NewHip Hop style that's in France. I've seen it done to Dubstep, and it's very similar to the Les Twins style of dance. You say that USA was missing beats and Said that dancing to Dubstep you have to catch and listen to the different rhythms in the music. We're seeing the same things. And Dubstep requires more than popping to nail what is heard. Which (I believe) is where the New Hip Hop style comes into effect.

@crunkay Well the New Style they do in France is still Hip Hop. Just feels wrong to call it Dubstep style. I also referred to using popping as a means to hit dubstep music because of the isolation, waves, animations, ticks, etc that allow you to hit pace of dubstep music. Hip Hop style dance still incorporates some parts of popping, so you will have some hip hop style dancers using these styles derived from popping. New Style is Hip Hop, the French just have their version of it they do.
