Glenn Beck used to have a lot of problems but has turned his life around and become very successful. So I don't see what his past drug use has to do with today... @Str33tSupra Oh dont worry i only smoke on weekends AFTER i finish studying and doing my homework, im in honors everything and i have straight A's Since i started middle school, i balance it, im going to be successful, i plan on being a psychologist, and i will get it if i really work for it :) dont worry though dude, 5 of the biggest potheads i know is also straight A students like me :) there is hope, u just have to find balance in smoking pot and doing what you have to do. @DrummerLordProdigy If that reasoning is true, why doesn't alcohol lead to other drugs? It has similar effects, and it's a lot more widespread. Is it because you smoke it instead of drink it? I highly doubt that. I think the reason it leads to other drugs is because the people who start experimenting at early ages are the ones with low self esteem/self image, and want to test their limits. It's the mind that leads one to drugs, not the simple use of a drug.

My point was not that alcohol and marijuana are similar. My point was that 1). both are "drugs", and if one can lead to harder drugs, then why doesn't the other? and 2). that it is the combination of the character/beliefs/mental resolve of the person using said drug that brings about further drug habits.
