A couple of days ago the Las Vegas Review Journal had an article that the Esmerelda Mine in Goldfield is set to reopen with part of the highway between Goldfield and Tonapah to be rerouted as the main vein of gold lies directly under the highway. With any luck this venture will be the break the owners were waiting for and Goldfield Hotel may find new capital to reopen.
