Refreshing! As a black woman, I had difficulty opening up as being nonreligious. Also a pacifist, I was really surprised to hear some of the hateful things said to me in my transition from many, but am now thankful that there is a place for people so they don't have to feel alone. I hope the people against this video will take the opportunity to research your religion and not just depend on other's words and ideas. That's what being a free thinker is all about. Peace to you.
Thanks for leading our nation's youth astray. Thanks for saying that anyone who worships are not thinkers. So misguided. To say that someone said, "I thought I was the only one"? Wow that is hilarious. I walk the streets & see hundreds of people a day who are not Christian. It is obvious that this world is full of non-believers by their actions & selfish words.. Also you say Black people are scared to come out as atheists? Another ludicrous statement. Spiritually, you need help.
I am not an atheist. I consider myself spiritual. I do believe in God and I know that with my belief, it has kept me sane in certain situations. I agree with a lot of this video based on personal experience alone. The worst hurt and pain has come from "Christians"- my mom. I've seen so much swept under the rug. I've seen a lot of hurt and pain inflicted on people in the name of Christianity. My mom don't even like me cause i don't live the "christian life" though i go to church every sunday.

@connick2111 So you went to each interview to complain about them. I can talk to 4 christians and all of them will tell me that the other one is not a true christian because X or Y. The reality is that the majority of people at the streets consider themselves Christian. People not in a minority, have very little empathy for people in the minority. I read from other posts that your thoughts represent the Black community. Because no-one is an individual.
@connick2111 thank you for the truth , they are working nationwide to destroy whats left of religion in America . Is it too much religion in the inner cities destroying our youth or not enough religion ? I believe there is not enough because we as a nation have abandon god . Such free thinkers afraid of the truth . They are not just atheist they are agenda driven and i believe its to destroy America . I will copy and repaste your comment since it is hidden from view . Thank you !
@Blackman1000ify I heard that there were once slaves in America . Or a least I read it in a book .A history book like the bible ,It must not be true because the history book I read it in was written by man , It must be a fairy tale ?
@stabg289 Is this what you believe there is not enough of:
"You may purchase slaves from the foreigners among you. You may purchase their children treating them as property, passing them on to your children as inheritance. " Leviticus 25:44-46
It's pretty hardcore that you made the point about being socioculturally disconnected. I imagined that'd be a major concern for African Americans, and I'm glad you've reconnected with a colorful group of people that completely accept you for who you are.

"Those crazy adults. What's going on with them?" My thoughts exactly as a young child forced to attend religious services for 17 years.

What a rare gift you have! To be able to tell what someone believes by just looking at them!

It was so rad to hear about the starting of SSHU! You certainly help to fight the "angry atheist" image with your well-reasoned arguments
